I very much enjoy the way LU presents its story. The action drama style it has works well with the supernatural elements they use. Heck I'm actually interested in seeing where the story goes which is a rarity for me in modern wrestling.

I kind of wish it was longer than an hour a week, but a shorter show is a godsend in comparison to RAW's 3 hour grind.

I thought last season was pretty good. But I haven't been watching the new season as it aired. Probably going to binge watch before Ultima Lucha 2.

Kevin Dunn should be on suicide watch considering how much better the show looks than RAW.

I like the idea of having lore behind the show that you can use to headcanon your own shit (puma's Aztec lineage allows him to no sell just about anything and always come on top).

The wrestling itself I really enjoy because LU never takes a commercial break DURING the matches like what might happen on raw. Bringing up smaller names like pentagon and puma was a great decision [considering they could have just had the AAA main eventers come around and run the show]. The booking in a show about a fake wrestling promotion is better than the booking in just about any actual promotion.

Lucha Underground just needs to get better at monetizing itself. They have a few t-shirts and thats about it. I've heard they're doing a few live events in the summer but i wouldn't count on that buying them a fourth season. They dont even have DVDs of the first season out.

This can be proper competition for WWE in 3 years if they keep with this sort of quality.

The story and its elements work perfectly because they go balls out with suspension of belief so it's perfectly fine that you have someone like Drago being considered a shoot dragon.

The show two days ago was fucking amazing, Brian Cage is now in my top five.

I liked him, thought him taking those comparably smaller wrestlers to the Suplex Barrio, and I appreciated how they built up a monster heel and let him tear through the roster, thus backing up the hype they created for him.

Spoilers for tonight's show for those who haven't watched it.

Pentagon Jr. got squashed pretty hard by Matanza. Vampiro jumped in after he was pinned calling for medical help, got kicked in the face, then Pentagon got put through the announce table

Also Matanza isn't that big of a guy. Ripped as fuck though.

LU is so fucking good, I started watching it when I was working at My uncle's last Summer, I can't be the only one thinking there should be a thread for it like Raw every week? We could give it a go for a couple of weeks and see if it's popular enough?
