For the longest time, I was thinking it'd be impossible due to the fact that in PVP situations, you wouldn't be able to distinguish BE and HE players unless you had nameplates on, but with Pandaren as a race, I guess not.

The only reason lore wise is because high elves are incredibly scarce. 90% of Elves died in the third war, and 90% of those got addicted to fel magic.

As a follow up to that though, I don't know how or when, but Naga could possibly fit in there Alliance side. I mean, obviously they have a bit of a miff going with the Night Elves, but it's not completely unreasonable to say a small faction of Naga were born into their race and disagree with Azshara.

Yeah, but it seems like it would be tough to get around just how universally hated the Naga are. Remember the questline in Desolace? The Cenarion Circle, who are basically a bunch of nature-loving hippies, are perfectly fine with unleashing biological warfare on the land if it means killing the Naga.

That's like getting the OK to use napalm from the World Wildlife Foundation.

Another candidate for a playable race would be the Furbolg. Various tribes of them have been helped out majorly by the Draenei and the Night Elves. In Darkshore Malfurion Stormrage himself even states that their shamans are second to none. It's in the quest completion text of The Blackwood Pledge.

Furbolg would be possible. It's just that like 99% of all the Furbolgs have gone insane. Normally they actually are allied with the Night Elves, otherwise.

A little miffed that my Draenei technically knows Furbolg, but can never use it though.
