A Tag Team Topical verse - the topic is my picture.
Here's the short snippet I wrote for the start:
The board is set, the pieces are in motion - a Wager of Worlds whose ties run deeper than the Oceans. In the beginning 'twas a game of pawns advancing to vie for position. Yet, as time proceeded with violence, attrition: pieces were exchanged, each side had envisioned futures where behind the division of White and Black deep tides and a mission curled inside the silence, forbidden. The pushing of pieces, hands, with rifle's precision in strikes and incisions, insidious, they play for the life of the living - the hidden current that runs rife and stifles sedition. Kings and Queens - Knights and Castles, the ring of these is the vice that grapples and brings to knees the gneiss in mantle. The very foundation of earth twists beneath the heights of battle.

Working on a fantasy story set in modern time. It's about an editor who wanted to kill himself but somehow ended up being hit by a goddess. Going for a romantic comedy type of story, will see how it works out. It's called Stray Goddess.
