Hey /writ/ first time posting here. I've been investing alot of my time into scripting and other kinds of writing. And I continue to find myself "not in the mood" to write.

So, how can I get in the "writing mood"? Dim lights? Calm music? Anything helps, thanks.

How about white noise? I find that relaxes me.

>find something boring to do
>start to have fantasies about your work
>after you are done with boringstuff put on some nice music (better if related to the situation of the writing, ex: you write a scenario of the standard windows xp wallpaper you listen to some calm music etc)

Eliminate distractions– stop leaving the house, stop paying for electricity, and stop using your phone.

This anon and his dubs speak the truth. Engage in something physical and mildly repetitive for a while. Your brain will go "this fucking sucks" and its creative hips will start moving on their own.

Also, when you write, don't do it drunk. Coffee is a much better writing stimulant.
