I only briefly caught glimpses of women's wrestling years ago before I moved out for college. I was wondering how I would go about getting into it as a beginner.

if by women's wrestling you mean pro-wrestling, i know there's a few women's promotions out there (shimmer is well known, and there are several japanese ones that are fun). check out the wiki list

I would urge to watch NXT however, as their women's division is excellent, with women like sasha banks, becky lynch, bayley who are top performers (as well as paige and emma who are now on the main WWE roster). newcomers like alexa bliss and carmella also look good
this is from the last ppv NXT takeover revolution, the women's championship match which is as good (if not better) than many men's matches

sasha banks and becky lynch are probably the best women wrestlers in NXT at the moment, though my favorite is bliss ;^)

also check out the japanese stuff, it is great. the other promos like TNA and lucha underground have smallish women's division but they tend to be more athletic and better wrestlers than the main WWE roster.
