Create your own creepy SSTV Signal!

What you'll need:

SSTV Signal Generator

http://www.dxatlas.com/SstvTools/

MMSSTV (SSTV Signal Decoder)

Open photoshop, or mspaint, or whatever and make an image or message. Make sure your image is 320x256. It must be saved as .bmp.

You don't have to mess with any of the settings in the generator, simply load your image, choose a .wav filename, and press generate. When you listen to the audio, it should be able to be decoded by MMSSTV.

This could be a neat way to leave cryptic messages or images around the net.

The image should just load from being heard by the decoder. Go to Options > Soundcard Input Level, and make sure it can hear your stereo mix or maybe your mic, also make sure the RX Mode is set to auto, so it can detect the right signal.

It should look something like this.

You can tell when a recording has been made using a microphone, or straight off the stereo mix due to the interference. pretty cool tbh

Use Robot 72. As far as I can tell, it is the highest quality conversion. I tried a number of settings in the tool provided, and also checked the wikipeida article. Robot 72 has 256 scan lines and a YUV color space, which is superior over the 125 scan lines and the RGB color space provided by Scottie formats.
