The phrase "Luke I am your father" was popularized by pop culture and that is why it sounds so familiar. I think a lot of these misquotes are just people hearing things wrong or hearing a popular version of a quote which is different from the actual quote.

I am not saying the mandela effect is bullshit though because I clearly remember Nelson Mandela dying in prison. In fact I often feel like I don't belong to this world or this shitty version of the world but that could just be me being an autsy introverted outcast.
