I guess it would depend on whether your phone's application had any sound correction on it, recording with a more old-fashioned device would have the advantage of no correction but then you have consider that there might be impurities in the recording because of that. A friend of mine uses a digital hand-held recorder (I forget the actual make and model) so he can go to places where there is less interference. You can record anywhere, you don't have to go to a haunted house or graveyard to get results, spirits are everywhere. The best place is somewhere you can light candles (for light, not because it attracts spirits) and keep electronic interference to a minimum and if you are outside, somewhere far away from external noise and windy weather. My friend also tries to stay away from recording near where there are a lot of trees because even if it's not windy you can still get background noise from the foliage.

I also forgot to add that digital recording will give you a cleaner result, and it doesn't matter what time of day you do it, although some people may disagree.

Yes I have, they're very quiet so have to turn them up quite loud just to hear anything. Other times there have been noises that have been unexplained without even needing to turn the volume up. Me and another friend of mine are mediumship students and he's done some recordings at evenings with us. I'll ask him if he has any of his recording online.

As for EVP being like ouija etc…First of all, I would like to clarify that (in my opinion) ouija and other forms of spirit communication tools are simply that, just tools. I personally don't believe in demons, I'm not religious either (I could be wrong but belief in demons seems to go hand in hand with religion). I've been working as a medium for years now and in the space of about seven years I've had only two negative experiences with 'bad spirits' who weren't demons at all, just angry people who needed guidance. They looked and sounded 'demonic' because they wanted to cause fear. A ouija board isn't going to let a bad spirit into your house any more than doing EVP or a seance will (others may disagree, this is just my opinion). Likewise I've been doing mediumship for so long I have no use for tools like ouija or pendulums etc. anymore. As far as I'm aware, my friend has never had any problems either otherwise he would have asked me and my other mate for help. Having said that, I think it does help having someone who has some skills in mediumship around for spirit communication.

tl;dr EVP is harmless, just don't piss any spirits off and be polite to them

I listened to it -no need to translate thanks- I'm not sure if could be the same I think sounds a little bit younger in "Angela" also if ghost -or whatever kind of entity the voice that sounds like a woman is- can transfer their voices from far away places. Actually I also got into taking pictures at night since got more random EVP, and one shows what I attempted to identify as a woman. I'm not sure if this qualifies, but me and my friend recently recorded some SNES gameplay on a VHS tape. Weirdly, when we were playing it back last week, it seemed like there was some whispering on it. Mind you, it's most probably a tracking error or some other kind of interference since it's a mono VHS and we were recording in EP (lowest quality, greatest length) mode, which really muffles speech, and the whisper was very clear. If anyone finds it interesting I might try to record it (although I have recorded over some of the start of the tape) with my camera.

Bad news. The section of the tape where the whispering seemed to be present sounds perfectly normal. I will however conduct experiments with the tapes such as leaving the VHS recording audio during the night, etc.

I find this very weird. It wasn't a mistake, my friend heard it too. It wasn't a problem with tracking though, I messed with the tracking and it didn't replicate the whispering we heard in the tape.

Is there any kind of object, sign, or procedure I should follow to make them feel free to record on the tape? Would saying so aloud work? Do I need to keep the door to the living room open? What about the window? I really hope to get something out of this.

It's kind of hard to explain…Usually I can 'feel' something is present, it's an electric sensation similar to the pressure before a storm, if that makes sense? It can be either hot or cold, I usually sense warmth. The presence usually transmits a second 'layer' in my mind. The only way I can describe it is that my body sees the bare bones of the presence and then my mind views the details…Not sure I am explaining this properly. But this is usually only with a visual presence.

There have been times where I've seen full bodied manifestations, figures etc. but usually I will see shadows with my eyes and then a human standing there with my mind's eye, I guess my 'third eye'. Contact usually comes in the form of smells, sounds, voices, images transmitted into my mind like a radio transmission. I frequently get woken in the night by light touching, poking, prodding and voices whispering because they want to talk. It's not scary anymore, just somewhat annoying. Often times I will walk into a building and know straight away that there is a ghost present, ask around for people to confirm, etc. It's easier to tell when the place is empty because spirit presence has an energy very similar to the presence of a living person, if that makes sense?

Yes, I can communicate with them easily if they are willing. Many times they just want to tell stories. Some want to pass on messages or don't realise they are dead and need to be guided to the light. I've never been able to go near the light, or whatever you want to call it, only see it in the distance. Usually spirits will show me visual memories, places they grew up etc.

Ectoplasm/teleplasty I am not certain about…My opinion is that it was mostly a hoax during the spiritualism trend. I've never seen it or experienced it myself. Not saying it's fake entirely, but it seems like it has not happened much since then.

You don't need any special ritual to speak to spirits. Just say it out loud if you can for the audio, or even thinking it is good enough. If they want to communicate, they will.
