I started going on 4chan's /x/ lately but it feels like a handful of people.

every imageboard actually looks slower than it used to be so I'm not sure where everyone migrated to, maybe they got jobs or something

It's because we have people like you and I that don't contribute much, just lurk and read what ever is good. You want the board to be better start posting content

Making threads like this won't help, if you want the board to be better then contribute. Doesn't have to be OC, just post more. Make threads on topics that you're interested in and want to talk about.

For example i like missing persons stories so i made this thread, its not a huge thread but people are posting cases, theres discussion.

No matter where I go on the Internet no one gives a a shit about the OC I make. No one. Yes, I'm b'awing right now because it makes me feel like shit to try and try and try to "bee the change u wanna see in the world xD" only for none of my efforts to make any form of difference.

Then there are recent times and in the distant past where I post 10x more stuff, most more high quality than anyone elses shit, and their videos and such get 100x more views than mine. Like, why the fuck..? Do I have to start whoring myself and "making friends/networking" and going to marketroid seminars just so people look at my shit? Since "write and they will come" certainly had never fucking worked once in my fucking life.

You're coming off a bit narcissistic, mind linking some of this stuff you're talking about? It also could be that people don't want to read the same old shit over and overr again, i mean old creepypastas/photos are great but they get posted a lot.

Like the anon above said, start a thread on a single topic and go from there. Also do't expect people to just come flocking, give insight on the subject, post a few examples and i'm sure the thread will pick up.
