This is a Schrattlgatterl, Drudengatterl or Trudengatter from German Folklore.
A symbol made from sticks that was put on doors in old times, to keep houses and barns protected from demons, witches, elves and nightmares. Sometimes its was even put on knifes or burned into doors and furniture.
It was often used, because it contains several other symbols. There is the normal Christian Cross, the St. Andrew Cross and the St. Peter Cross, but also several Runes are inside it, like Kaunan, Gebo, Isaz, Algiz, Dagaz and Jera.
Interestingly because its a self holding construct, you can create it out in the woods even if you have no cord or tape, but versions that are bound together are also common.
