 No.1

This board was made to keep a chan basis maintained for Project Chanology. Don't know what that is?

1. YOU NEED TO LURK MOAR!
2. You'll need a primer on critical info of Scientology.

Things to Google:

Fair Game Policy

In 1967, L. Ron Hubbard wrote a policy stating that "suppressive persons" (SPs) or critics of Scientology that interfere with Scientology activities are "Fair Game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed." Later, the practice of declaring people "Fair Game" was cancelled due to bad public relations. This does not cancel any policy on the treatment or handling of an SP.

Operation Freakout

Freelance journalist and author Paulette Cooper wrote an early critical piece on the Church of Scientology that was later expanded into a book published in 1971. After years of litigation and covert harassment, the Church of Scientology planned to have her imprisoned or committed to a mental institution. The plan consisted of impersonating Cooper and then threatening Arab consulates, the President, and the Secretary of State. Before Operation Freakout was put into effect, as the plan was discovered during FBI raids of the Church of Scientology because of...

Operation Snow White

During the 1970s, Scientologists conspired to purge unfavorable records of L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology. 136 government agencies, private institutions, foreign embassies, and consulates in more than 30 countries were infiltrated and stolen from by Scientologists. In the United States, it remains the single largest domestic infiltration of the government in history, with more than 5,000 covert Scientology agents. The most notable agency infiltrated was the IRS, which the Church was battling for tax exemption. (The story of how CoS eventually gained their tax exempt status is worth a look as well.)

Lisa McPherson

One of several hundred suspicious deaths and disappearances within the cult's 60 year existence, this case is notable for its extreme and public nature and for Scientology's response. Lisa Mcpherson, 36, and a member of the Church since 18, had moved from Texas to Clearwater, Florida, Scientology's "Mecca" (see Project Normandy). After a minor car accident, she experienced a psychotic break and began removing her clothes. She was taken to a hospital, but after intervention by Scientologists, refused psychiatric observation or overnight admission. Instead, she was placed on the "introspection rundown" and trapped in the Fort Harrison Hotel for 17 days. Her condition deteriorated until she was taken out of her room and put into the back of a van. McPherson was taken past several hospitals until they reached one with a Scientologist doctor on staff. There she was pronounced dead on arrival. An autopsy revealed she was underweight, severely dehydrated/starved, and had bed sores and cockroach bites. The Church of Scientology was indicted on 2 felony charges in the death of Lisa McPherson, but the charges were dropped after Scientology's legal team discredited the examiner. Afterwords, a release form was given to parishioners that allows the Church to hold them indefinitely and absolves the Church of any responsibility in regards to the injury or death of a parishioner.

Discussion of any topic concerning Chanology, Scientology, or Dianetics is welcome. That includes questions or comments. Glory Marcabia!
