 No.22697

Once a country has banned lolicon can it be reversed ever? Has it ever been legalized after being criminalized? I mean there's no logical or rational reason for it to be illegal at all yet it actually is in some states, Canada, UK and Australia.

 No.22703

SCOTUS struck down a ban twice, so yes.

But I think you're referring to the actual legislature making the change, which is something that I've never heard of happening.

Thank god I don't live in a third-world shithole.

Will Japan ever reverse it's CP ban? Will the terror of an entire year of prison ever leave after the olympics?

the wiki info is outdated and also wrong in various places

http://www.ageofconsent.com/japan.htm

Oh boy, 3 years for paying to fuck a loli, one year for videotaping it and keeping the video, and 3 more years for sharing the video with your friends before selling it, how backwards can Japan possibly be?

>For the purpose of this Law, a "child" means a person under the age of 18 years.

>The Article 3 of the Japanese Civil Code states that the age of majority is twenty (20) years old.

I'm confused.

The second note here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_pornography_laws_in_Japan#cite_note-2) saying 5 years for distribution links to an FBI human rights report (http://www.state.gov/j/drl/rls/hrrpt/2011/eap/186276.htm)

That very report says 3 years. It is the fucking second sentence on the wiki page. Never trust the wiki, the primary motivation for writing wiki pages is to gain reputation to stroke some kind of closeted e-peen.

>>22821

And the default age of consent is 13. The laws there are such that whether you're convicted of crime or not is entirely dependant on the court's mood on that day.

How am I defending it? I even said that it's NOT about truth.

Are you implying that people don't make mistakes and that typos aren't a thing?

 No.22838

Thats the fucking point, wiki slave #5943 here desperately scrambled up a source without reading it properly, and then went on to write a misinformed article. The wiki slaves after him added on or made completely superficial edits without realising anything. Checking the page history shows that it's been erroneous at least since June last year. It shows a lot about what drives the site and if you aren't daft you should be raising eyebrows.

 No.22839

You do know that the article can be edited, right?

 No.22840

>>22839

And what good will fixing their shit be if some other article on the site gets the same treatment for the same reasons? The site is flawed in conception but unfortunately very highly trusted. If you want to work for Jimbo for free, be my guest.

 No.22846

>>22840

so less people are misinformed by a very highly trusted resource?
