The thing about "safe spaces" is that if your fav outgroup is small and hated enough, the much more important thing is that all the normies know where your kind is congregated. I think they'd be infiltrated by undercover law enforcement pretty quickly. Most if not all attendees would wind up in prison. There is no way in hell the person in this hypothetical would go down if there is tangible proof that he, at all times, actively denied wanted any such material and could reliably prove that he had no reasonable way of knowing what was on the drive. Even a shitty lawyer would be able to get him off the hook.

However, if he instead replied to the undercover cop, "Well, if you want to give it to me you can," or some shit like that, then he'd go down.
