The idea is to design and manufacture custom skates for Yulia; specifically, with diamond-edged titanium blades; the finest, must supple and beautiful hand-crafted leather; gold-threaded silk laces; and other top quality construction materials necessary to make the finest pair of skates ever created.
This would be financed by fan donations via bitcoin, paypal, crowdfunding sources, etc. An attorney would be retained as an escrow agent to handle the finances to ensure funds are in a trusted account and disbursed properly. If and when the project should get to that point, all the information related to finances and other legalities would be publicly available via this thread.

I created this board only to glorify and show love and respect for Yulia Lipnitskaya. It is not and never was meant to be a clubhouse for shitposting, negativity and faggotry. It is my own semi-private tribute to Yulia, though it's open to everyone to lurk and enjoy. Quality Control of board content and respect for Yulia are the most important considerations I have. and always will be
The board started out slowly with usually only 5 total posters/lurkers. The vast majority of the initial threads were started and populated by me. People liked them. Slowly, others added content. It was a positive, respectful and tiny community of people. It stayed that way for almost a month, then suddenly, the /fag/gots of 2ch decided to come over and shit up the place with their autistically numbered threads. Each thread is nothing more than the chan equivalent of an IRC channel where the little faggots can chat and repost the same pics over and over again. There is rarely fresh content in their threads, but there is always plenty of shitposting, infighting, and general faggotry. Their shitty threads do not honor Yulia in any way and when they came over here, it added no real value to my board, except to bump the board's post count. This raised the board's profile in the rankings and exposed it to more people who were browsing for new and growing boards. As a result, /yulia/ spiked with a peak of about 100 total unique IPs, and then after that, as you might have expected the shitposting began.
Let me be clear, I could care less how many people lurk/post on my board. I am not and never was interested in having it become a "popular" board. Most popular things are average and average is shit. There is nothing average about Yulia. Quality control of board content is of paramount importance, and only positive people who respect, honor and glorify Yulia are welcomed here from now on.
You should not consider me as a moderator or a bored volunteer. You should consider me as more like a museum curator or a bouncer at an exclusive nightclub. If I don't like you or your posts then I take action. Threats to leave the board, bot flooding, etc. do not deter me in the slightest. This board is here to stay. deal with it

First off, let's review the TL;DR of chan culture in its most general sense. You (and your mother) will be insulted, attacked, called a faggot, etc. and will generally be abused on a regular basis. This is especially true if you are a mod. Hotwheels probably gets insulted and attacked more than anyone else on this site and he just shrugs it off with a laugh and gives as good as he gets, so it's really pathetic when people come to a chan and get easily butthurt because they just can't handle the banter. Posting anonymously allows you to communicate your real views, but it's also an opportunity to troll, attack others, create drama and otherwise blow off steam, especially for bitter, depressed, negative people who tend to have no life outside of the Internet. That comes with the territory of any board on any chan...no matter how you try to moderate things. People who expect total conformity of opinion and constant mutual respect should probably avoid chans altogether. A chan is one of the last bastions on the Internet where free speech is actually possible. Everyone who's been on 4chan lately realizes how shitty it has become, even as its moderation style of deleting threads and banhammering people over trivialities and unpopular views has gone into overdrive. That approach hasn't improved the quality of the site, but has actually done the exact opposite. There's an important lesson to be learned from this approach for anyone who has a functioning brain in their head.
No matter how you create a board or try to moderate it, not everyone is going to be satisfied. People will say you're moderating too much or too little or practicing favoritism or pushing an agenda or being petty and tyrannical or this or that. It never ends. I'm not going to get swept up into this kind of drama because it's a waste of my time. However, I do invest time in trying to accommodate what people really want and in trying to be tolerant, fair and inclusive. Let's be clear: deleting posts and banning people is a fast and trivial matter. That I haven't done so up to now shouldn't be seen as a sign of weakness or indifference. Besides, an overly aggressive approach can have the opposite effect and is often an exercise in futility. Up to now, I really haven't seen anything truly worthy of a ban. Hotwheels is an advocate of free speech and so am I. However, if someone posts anything which violates U.S. law, it should be globally reported anyway.
Some posters have complained about the soft moderation style of this board and have debated the value of creating an alternate Yulia board. They express concerns of an onslaught of "cancer" coming over from 2ch /fag/ which might eventually overwhelm this board. That might be possible to some degree, but what makes you think that the cancer and drama which followed you over to this board wouldn't simply follow you from this board over to whatever new board you created and attempted to micromanage and control more aggressively? Actually, that might not be a bad idea since it could possibly siphon off the more negative and aggressive faction of posters from this board who might enjoy spending all day happily at war with each other, reporting people they don't like and screaming for bans and post deletions. I would have no problem with an alternate containment board for that kind of drama.
However, if you prefer to stay here, then consider the possibility that when a mod threatens that something will not be tolerated, the board becomes a lightning rod for posting that exact forbidden thing by people who literally have no other life than to troll, shitpost and create drama. The smart approach is to simply ignore them, but I realize that for a small percentage of people, such a passive approach is boring and unacceptable.

For example, if I was to moderate purely according to my own personal tastes and whims, a lot of posts would have already been deleted and maybe even a few bans would have been handed out. Personally, I don't really enjoy all the infighting of "x skater is cuter/better than Yulia" with non-Yulia image dumps and related drama, but I understand that for many of the new people coming over from 2ch, this kind of infighting and "competition" is fun and desirable (except perhaps when their butts get hurt). As someone already pointed out in another thread, "On the Internet, Russians love to fight." So be it. I consider the thread series migrating over from /fag/ as a type of containment space for this style of banter. If this is what you enjoy, then you have a recurring thread in which to enjoy it. I would call this an example of "good moderation" although I realize others will disagree.
I actually welcome all the new arrivals coming over from 2ch and I really want everybody to have a good time on this board. But try to keep things in perspective. If the quality of a particular board is consuming too much of your time or emotional life, it might be a hint that you need to go outside and get some fresh air. I don't consider /yulia/ as "my" board, but as "our" board. I don't want an adversarial relationship with anyone, because we all have a common interest in enjoying and appreciating Yulia. I think we're all strong enough to handle some of the unavoidable bullshit which comes along with any board on any chan. And if you need some convincing about how an alternate approach might work out, just find some of the other boards on here which are micromanaged by their creators and you'll see how dead, stale, boring and shitty the "culture" really is.
I'm trying to maintain a positive and respectful vibe on this board, not only to encourage people to join in and have a good time, but also as a way of honoring Yulia.
Ultimately, the overall quality of this board is in your hands, not mine. So, think about what you're posting and why you're posting it. If it's just to create drama and negativity, then maybe you'll be happier back on /fag/. Or if you think creating a totalitarian board where only your personal definitions of "shitposting and cancer" gets deleted and its users get banned, then by all means, you are just a few mouse-clicks and keystrokes away from creating your own Utopia:

I'm creating this thread as a vehicle for people to communicate directly with me and share their views, criticisms, suggestions, etc. I can't guarantee I'll respond to everyone and everything, but at least it gives you a space to make your voice heard and others can respond and comment on your posts. I don't understand Russian, so unfortunately, you'll need to post in English if you want me to read it. I'll keep this thread stickied for a while.First off, let's review the TL;DR of chan culture in its most general sense. You (and your mother) will be insulted, attacked, called a faggot, etc. and will generally be abused on a regular basis. This is especially true if you are a mod. Hotwheels probably gets insulted and attacked more than anyone else on this site and he just shrugs it off with a laugh and gives as good as he gets, so it's really pathetic when people come to a chan and get easily butthurt because they just can't handle the banter. Posting anonymously allows you to communicate your real views, but it's also an opportunity to troll, attack others, create drama and otherwise blow off steam, especially for bitter, depressed, negative people who tend to have no life outside of the Internet. That comes with the territory of any board on any chan...no matter how you try to moderate things. People who expect total conformity of opinion and constant mutual respect should probably avoid chans altogether. A chan is one of the last bastions on the Internet where free speech is actually possible. Everyone who's been on 4chan lately realizes how shitty it has become, even as its moderation style of deleting threads and banhammering people over trivialities and unpopular views has gone into overdrive. That approach hasn't improved the quality of the site, but has actually done the exact opposite. There's an important lesson to be learned from this approach for anyone who has a functioning brain in their head.
No matter how you create a board or try to moderate it, not everyone is going to be satisfied. People will say you're moderating too much or too little or practicing favoritism or pushing an agenda or being petty and tyrannical or this or that. It never ends. I'm not going to get swept up into this kind of drama because it's a waste of my time. However, I do invest time in trying to accommodate what people really want and in trying to be tolerant, fair and inclusive. Let's be clear: deleting posts and banning people is a fast and trivial matter. That I haven't done so up to now shouldn't be seen as a sign of weakness or indifference. Besides, an overly aggressive approach can have the opposite effect and is often an exercise in futility. Up to now, I really haven't seen anything truly worthy of a ban. Hotwheels is an advocate of free speech and so am I. However, if someone posts anything which violates U.S. law, it should be globally reported anyway.
Some posters have complained about the soft moderation style of this board and have debated the value of creating an alternate Yulia board. They express concerns of an onslaught of "cancer" coming over from 2ch /fag/ which might eventually overwhelm this board. That might be possible to some degree, but what makes you think that the cancer and drama which followed you over to this board wouldn't simply follow you from this board over to whatever new board you created and attempted to micromanage and control more aggressively? Actually, that might not be a bad idea since it could possibly siphon off the more negative and aggressive faction of posters from this board who might enjoy spending all day happily at war with each other, reporting people they don't like and screaming for bans and post deletions. I would have no problem with an alternate containment board for that kind of drama.
However, if you prefer to stay here, then consider the possibility that when a mod threatens that something will not be tolerated, the board becomes a lightning rod for posting that exact forbidden thing by people who literally have no other life than to troll, shitpost and create drama. The smart approach is to simply ignore them, but I realize that for a small percentage of people, such a passive approach is boring and unacceptable.
