The only reason they would try to pass this bill when there's already laws prohibiting animal abuse/cruelty is to benefit the privatized prison system.
The more cells are filled, the more money the prisons make.
Not that anyone would try to oppose a redundant law, for fear of being called out as a pervert and animal fucker sympathizer.
Would think that the Jersey folk would see the irony in outlawing sex with animals because of a man caught molesting cattle, when they know full well that cows are getting their tits drained daily for the milk in their cereal.
