This board will be wiped regularly once per week.

This is for security as some of our members are not careful enough in the content they post and descriptions they use which can reveal information if pattern analysis is used.

Can you explain what Tails linux is, are you aware of coreboot is, do you have a VPN with a network integrated killswitch, do you use veracrypt with a suitable drive setup?

If not, learn these things asap

Each wipe will be on Friday.

People are reporting files which offend their tastes, the correct action is to use the hide file button so this file disappears from your screen but others can view it.

Please use the report feature to notify us of users who compromise their identity or endanger the community only.

ALLUHACKBAR? There's no security problem. If someone wrote something stupid and panicking, let them report it to you. People being idiots is not your problem. You told them to use Tails, your work is done.

Wiping will KILL the board. Do you know how long it takes to upload content in 8MB pieces?

If you do this I'll be force to make a new board.

If someone is too stupid to watch for themselves its Not your Problem. You should Not annoy everyone because you want to protect some idiots.

This is damage limitation as zoocore is a clearnet image board. In order to enable tor uploading the board must be listed publicly on 8chan.

There are users here who submit threatening reports often to report file links or the board to other places, who cares right?

Imagine for a second that one of these reports is for a file a user has uploaded to a clearnet site. The user was reasonable smart, they used a VPN and they had blocked javascript, they checked their DNS leaking and that there's no IPV6 issues on their line.

The hosting site is requested by LEA to provide the file information and the user had a browser fingerprint. They use a 4k monitor and they have do not track enabled, they have internet download manager installed with the suitable configuration. The hosting site knows 3 identifiable pieces of information, who cares right?

Metadata search over all sharing forums, cross referenced with IP logs of users detected at that time with suitable traffic, upload speed, data transferred etc

It's an issue, not a large one on a case by case basis but if this board retains a long history and attracts more attention as time goes on then potential problems increase and problem users should be limited in whatever information they can see historically. Spoilered files, unlisted board and removing history helps us all.

Regular lurkers will get all the files posted, people who discover this place and don't like what they see only get up to a week of history. It's a smart thing to delete your internet history and that goes for boards you use as well.

>delete your internet history

That's the opposite of what anyone serious about their info does. You start from the idea that anything posted is permanent. Nothing can be deleted. Everything is logged and archived somewhere. Telling anyone the opposite or giving them idea that they can delete info is dangerous. Pedos know this well.

You make throwaways. You don't link accounts. Browser fingerprint is almost meaningless if you use Tor browser/Tails because it has huge user pool today. It has per-domain circuits. All you have to do is tell everyone to use it.

Take beastforum. History there is forever. Zoos complain. Why? Because theyre fucking idiots and didn't think before they posted. Every single one. I love that policy because it points out the people you should never associate with because theyre too stupid.

If 8chan admins care and take it down, it won't be because you fail to wipe once a week.

Zoo core/necro/snuff will always be ephemeral and come and go but there's no reason to put the board through it every week.

Adversaries definitely have the ability to archive something as soon as it's posted as long as they are aware the board exists. There's probably a few right now doing so.

This does not mean we should just fuck security over so lurkers can avoid having to save things and encrypt some files.

The higher exposure and combined with an entire board history is a negative for those who risk themselves to make content and post it so leechers can masturbate. The fact people here are begging for common stuff like boss vids shows how effective these strategies have been in the past. they probably aren't even aware that there's stuff far harder than dogtor out there again as a result of careful attention.

CP is different, there's a lot of content makers and posters but for this type of content there's less than 100 makers of decent material and only 10 or so have most of it on their hard drives.

The entropy has barely started.

>fuck security over

Its false security. If you rely on this as security in any way shape or form you will get fucked. I have no sympathy for producers who arent careful. But respect those that are.

All I have to do to circumvent this security measure is make one single alternative board. Which likely kill this board when people get sick of seeing a desert every week. I dont want to, but if I dont, someone else will. There are other boards already made. The choice you have is whether you want someone sympathetic adminning zoocore material, or an FBI agent.

Here is one retired maker of hardcore stuff. Safety is bout configure 'puter and network right and also use right kinda board. Not least prevent from stupid users.

We cant check much on users configurations. I was admin of shortlived onion site that got DDoS'ed evenif only users were supposed to know URL. Reason? Faithful Android users used clearnet gateways to get to TOR site. They spy on U. soon google had +2000 hits on URL that nobody should know.

This board not even require user registration. U have URL U have content. google also know this site. Basically everybody can get to content here.

Same problem killed AN. Lot of leechers but contributors felt AN site was unsafe because everybody know.

Unfortunatly leechers not just leech and masturbate. they want more stuff so what they downlod one place they uplod other place to earn credits. Stuff gets around and out of hand that way.

dogtor was quite public bout his work and got caught on small mistake. makers dont want get caught. stay silent is safe but not much fun.

If board wants have success it deals with these problems. run safe platform, not clearnet. At lest .onion or even better i2p.

Leave faithful Android users behind. Either we play safe or we do not play at all.

Ye, but there is no `deep` web anymore. Tor is too easy. Only i2p is inconvenient enough to deter nobodies. You can try P2P forums like Retroshare but Retroshare was always a shit app.

In the end it's rely on obscurity. It always breaks open in the end. Time and time again.

The only thing you can do if you need limited access is limit forum or other app user accounts. In combination with private URL.

But that's a dangerous thing to rely on because things get hacked or server not secure. AN was not secured. I dont know who how many know this, but the AN server IP was discovered behind hidden service.

P2P app like Retroshare can help but its matter of time and someday your circle will get compromised, if the shitty code doesn't first. You have a lifetime to get fucked.

In the end anything you try to do this way can be fucked and you need to make your videos completely anonymous from the start and don't fuck up. You're not as wanted as pedos and terrorists, thats the only reason more of you dont get caugh.

Im not saying that these things dont deter internet nobodies from trying to screw you. Yes they increase the effort needed. But to anyone determined its not enough. The only sure way is anonymize content from the start.

The idea of wiping content every week is the most useless I have heard.

If you wanted to provide a service for careless people, the best you could do is make a forum where all uploads have to be moderator approved, and the mods reject or anonymize themselves any videos that aren't clean enough. It works as long as youre not a honeypot.

 No.401

No wipe yet? The board is dead as long as you dont make it clear if There is one and when it is. Nobody will Post stuff if they think it could be gone next Day.

 No.519

Can I suggest we just delete text/URLs and videos that aren't censored properly along with removing any identifying data (like time and names) from posts?
