If you would like to kill yourself relatively quickly and painlessly, get a rope and tie a noose. You're not going to hang yourself like you're imagining. You're going to use it to push down on your jugular arteries. Tie the rope to the ceiling have it hang somewhat close to the ground where your neck would be at a standing position. If you've tied you're noose and tried testing if it would press against your jugular arteries without much success you might have to modify the rope by tying two additional knots where your arteries would be located on your neck. Try pushing the rope against your neck again by leaning forward. You should feel a pressure on your neck where your jugular arteries are located. It should take less than a minute for you to feel like you're going to pass out. The way this works is that you're going to starve your brain of blood and once you pass out you should be hanging in the noose you made which will also starve you're body of oxygen. This isn't an immediate death. It does take a decent amount of time to get you to the point of no return. You're going to need at least an hour of alone time where nobody is going to walk in while you're doing this. This is an incredibly simple way to kill yourself and doesn't require much equipment or time. It's pretty painless, you can test what it would feel like by pushing you're fingers against you're jugular arteries to see what it would be like.
