I still remember 2nd gen fondly, though the magic's pretty much died down for me. Typhlosion will still always be my favorite, but I'm looking for new ones to call bros. I wish they could've waited until 5th gen to make it, with its new engine that worked well on the DS. 4th gen games were so slow and unnerving, despite Platinum being the better one.

Delink/format your sysNAND with TinyFormat. FBI and Big Blue Menu are valid options for CIA installers, and you'll want Dev Menu too for installing weird CIAs like Nver. Install hblauncher_loader. I downloaded Punch Club. It's super addictive but I probably enjoyed it because I picked an agility build that dodges. I took way of the tiger and snagged all the abilities which deal damage to my opponent whenever I dodge one of his big clumsy attacks. After my enjoyable first play through which took around 320 game days, I went and started another run to see if anything in the story would change or If I could get a different ending. I started a strength and stamina build and took the way of the bear. I feel like if I picked this from the start I would have absolutely hated this game because it fucking sucks. I may be the strongest badass on the planet but it doesn't matter that I can combo for 145 damage, because I cannot fucking hit anything. Anyone that uses my strategy from the first run, absolutely destroys me. So the game is super unbalanced and often does a poor job of explaining its game mechanics. On top of that its kind of a boring game that forces you to do endless grinding since all of your stats decrease at a ridiculous rate, and they throw so many side chores in to sabotage you, so you end up wasting hours just trying to make microscopic gains. I could build my stats in real life faster than I can in this game.

More Characters Than You Can Use at Once
Does anyone else have this pet-peeve where you're bothered by having to manage characters/sidekicks in RPG's than you can have fighting at once?
I started playing Child of Light yesterday and I'm pretty far. However, I'm thinking I'll just stop playing altogether because they keep giving me more fucking characters when I can only use two in battle.
This is pretty common in RPG's. It really bothers me, I don't want to micromanage equipment or abilities for more characters than I'll be using. Most RPG's that do this compound the problem by only giving experience points to the characters that were in the battle; leading to disparities in levels in the characters that you have. So of course you aren't going to want to use the weaker ones. I know I have the option of ignoring the rest and just sticking to two or three, but the fact that there are others just really irks me. I don't care if it brings more story arcs to the game or supposedly makes the game's universe more "engaging".
So is this just me, what do you guys think? What are some other examples of RPG's that do have this characteristic? What are some examples of ones that don't?

A sad trend has emerged in gaming, a trend where Japanese publishers and developers both fear localizing their games or allow them to be politically corrected. They believe the Western Audience is puritanical or immature. To borrow a word from SJWs this is problematic for anyone who wants to enjoy Japanese games.
We've seen localizers working Blade and Soul gut the games content and boast about it. Xenoblade X from Nintendo received the same treatment. At the same time Koei Tecmo stated that they will not localize Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 because of how the American Market regards sexuality.
We Majority have not issue with sexuality, we are mature gamers and if we find something in bad taste we simply do not buy it. Yet our voices are getting drowned out by the chorus from corrupt sites like Polygon and Kotaku, from Ecelebs like Jim Sterling and Movie Bob. All falsely claiming to speak for us the gaming public, all the while pushing their puritanical agenda into gaming.
It's time that we spoke up and let the Japanese Developers and Publishers know that these people do not speak for their consumers. To do this we will launch Operation They Don't Speak for Us and we will demonstrate our voice to the companies that wish to make the games we love for us.
Objectives
1) Show to Japanese Developers and Publishers that the American Audience is not infantile and the SJWs, Marxists, and Progressives Do not Speak for their consumers.
2) Show to Japanese Developers and Publishers that we do not agree with censorship or politically correcting a game. We want the original version.
3) To expose the systematic calls for censorship originating from the SJWs, Progressives, and Marxists media and companies.
4) To expose to other gamers the systematic censorship done by localizers.
Operations
Operations will be divided into two separate but equal parts. The first is contact directly with publishers and developers VIA Email and Twitter. Fire Emblem: Fates Removes Controversial Support Conversation in Western Regions

In the Japanese version of Fire Emblem: Fates, you can gain S-Support, the highest level of a bond between to characters when pairing them together in battle, with several characters in the game. Most of these supports end in a marriage proposal, after several conversations between the characters.

DFO just got hit with a major patch that rebalances most of the game's content, making the grind in the game's latter areas (from Ghent onwards) far more lenient, as well as making the game an overall better experience. Many classes also got reworked and are now actually viable to play (Rogues, Male Fighters, Demon Slayers are some examples). Male Fighter, Female Gunner and Male Mage also got their second awakenings recently. Now's a pretty good time to start playing.

ITT: Bad business decisions by Nintendo, and how you would do better
Amiibos. No stupid airship skins, on-cartridge locked levels, or overpowered additional characters. Apply what Smash did, where the figures remember how you play (or whatever it did). Make it so that you could save something, whatever it is, into the amiibo, so that it enhances it's value as a physical figurine.
For example, let's say that the new F-Zero is finally coming out. Instead of on-disk locked courses being unlocked with amiibos, make it so that the figurines remember how well you play as a certain character, who's skills can be imported into a friends game if they use that amiibo.
Basically, make it the figurine-plus like it should be, rather than pure physical DLC.

Resident Evil 0 HD
3 more days goys. These are some of the games that I willingly buy as the entire industry seems to go to shit.
I'm pretty confident this will rank as my 2nd favourite Resident Evil game with this re-release making it 144hz I think.
The game is a highly flawed piece of shit as they didn't know where to take the buddy system that would involve 1 person managing both characters. It starts off heavy with the alpha game content of the train that Kamiya probably had a big say in showing ideas they had, but after you reach the mansion it's more beneficial to run around as Billy as AI sidekicks are a liability except for more inventory space.
Also this game weeds out the fucking bads who insist on bringing everything instead of just tapping it and having it on the map forever. Literally kill yourselves cancer.
Also Capcom know their audience. Rebecca has a bazillion costumes in this version.
Difficulty wise I think this might be the best one. It's up there with REmaster which is also flawed. The other games are too easy and need a serious rethink will never happen with modern Capcom. RE2make is fucked.

With EO/SQ V almost being finished, what are you guys looking forward to in it? What do you guys think they will fuck up?
I want them to expand on the limit system in EO3/EO2U. It would be cool if every class had a limit and a few that the whole team shared like in 3. Another thing that I think would be great, but hard to pull off, would have it where you can access all stratums at once and have the ability to go in any you want. As usual, each has their own gimmick. Some keys in one would unlock secret doors in another labyrinth or the scroll you find in the water dungeon would be useful against an FOE in the fire dungeon. Once you take out all the big bosses in every stratum you get access to the final dungeon, like Megaman. I think this would bring even more replay value combined with the team/class customization.
Please ATLUS, don't jew us with DLC. I will pirate this if they pull some on cart DLC again

Hi all, first and foremost I am not much of a Star Wars fan, but I do take interest in prototype games and this is no exception I want to apologize for my name, as it was the name given to me from 4chan to ensure they know who I am when I post this.
After a lot of work I managed to get my hands on Star Wars Battlefront III and wanted to share the infamous cancelled game that I'm sure many of you wanted to play. I know not everyone will get the chance to play this immediately, but over time I expect the modding community to be able to change that.
The game build works on Xbox 360 Development kits, XNA kits, Test kits, and any 360 that can use RGLoader (which makes it be treated like a Development kit) so if your 360 is modded you can get it working via RGLoader.
Some important notes -Xenia the 360 emulator will crash if you use it. It may work in the future but for now it does not. -Default.xex and bf_gold.xenon.xex act the same as far as I can tell but I'm likely wrong. -When booting you'll get a purple screen. It's cool just hit the Start button and wait a moment and you'll get to the title screen. -Expect poor framerate. -Expect bugs. -Expect crashes/freezing. -Expect anything I didn't list here.

I have made both a Mega upload and a torrent for this build. I would prefer you use the Mega link unless you wish to use the torrent to seed. I will not be uploading the game to Mega again after it's been removed (if it will be), so once the link is down there use the torrent.

I hope you all have a nice time with this, some may be mad at me but the story behind this build is a disaster and not releasing it will cause more issues than anything else.

HOW TO INSTALL THIS GAME
1. Install HF pAppLoc:

You'll need japanese locale to run most japanese games, including Artificial Academy 2. This is the easiest way to set it up, no need to play with Windows settings or anything.
2. Get the Virgin Edition:

Follow instructions on the torrent's description or in the readme, it's not hard. It's just the japanese game with DLCs, official patches and shit, NO TRANSLATION OR CRACK YET.
3. Install the HongFire patch:

This is the crack, launchers, translation, uncensor, cheats, missing append sets and patches, etc. For best result choose the HF translation, not the /aa2g/ one and the MKIII 3D uncensor.
And that's it for the full vanilla experience. Yes, those are big downloads. You may need up to 30 GBs of hard drive space for a modded install, suck it up. No, this game won't work with Wine on Linux, just give up. Play in a VM or dual-boot.

This is a nice mod manager that works with most Illusion games, including AA2. It's not always the best way to install mods but it werks, and it's easier than manual install. Not all mods support it though.

So I just finished Clear Sky, which was okayish I guess. Some game systems were rather shoddy like the faction wars, but it had its moments.
Now COP is supposed to be the most polished of the 3 games and I'm eager to get into it, but I don't want to go in blind.
In clear sky I couldn't upgrade my beloved seva suit because I pissed off the bandits, so this time I'd like to plan ahead a bit.
Any tips for equipment I should work towards?
