Welcome to /32/, Infinitychan's Psychopolitics board.

Definition

Psychopolitics can be defined as the study and practice of the ways psychology, sociology, and politics interrelate and give rise to one another, and includes (but is not restricted to):

>Ideological Propaganda

>Psychological Warfare

>Cult Psychology

>Media Manipulation

Basically, practices that involve mental coercion. Think anything from "The Manchurian Candidate" to "They Live".

Goals

The main goal of the board is sharing information that will allow us to learn to detect, resist and possibly apply coercive techniques.

The more specific objectives are:

*Analyse media for ideological messages

*Decompose of statements so as to show their true meaning

*Study memes, from their creation to their final effect. Possible experiment with meme creation.

*Discuss the ethics of Psychopolitics

*Develop techniques for resisting coercion

*Find ways for those without media control to wage psychological warfare

*Unveil the inner workings of the media.

meaning the unveiling.

you live inside of the earth. outer space is inner space. the milky way is just a band splitting the seam in the celestial sphere at 60 degrees like a mother's swaddling band.

there are multiple spheres of glass enveloping inner space diverginig light in a spectrum gradually from zenith to lift up from the earth parralel to the terminator to reconverge with the center of heaven like a circuit.

this is what lifts up your line of sight, gradually clips boats and bridges, and occluding the land mass curving upwards.

your line of sight is hitting the underside of clouds and converging with the center of heaven within every degree within 180 degrees of your fov.

the celestial sphere is therefore figuratively split in two by your line of sight refracting through multiple polarizing bowed spherical glass prisms meaning the half of the celestial sphere visible by your fov compresses/inverts around your 180 degree fov over the optical edit of the horizonal crease.

the sun is going to stop in the sky dissolving the heavens with fervent heat. and the central octahedron is going to descend to the south pole to marry and replenish earth. replacing the omega beta wave moon phases reflecting the light of the sun on a curve through multiple polarizing bowed spherical glass prisms enveloping inner space. the circuit and curtain of heaven will break and you will be able to see the land mass curve upwards once again. hence the unveiling of the prison cell earth you live in.

The shepherd is going to corrall his people over martial law before this happens. get ready. this is what donald trump, q anon, and majestic 12 are working to expose after incriminating the dems as being unable to compromise on border security.

They have precognition and forsight of judgement to come.

What role do religions play in matters of manipulation and coercion?

Most anti-religious individuals oppose them because they are supposedly always based on deception of the common people by individuals who hold authority in that belief system (priests and such). The presence of unquestioning dogma forces individuals to change their perceptions of reality in order to fit the established belief system, or is that an unrealistic generalization propagated by the anti-religious? Thomas Aquinas was not against the use of reason to reach conclusions, but in his views reason should always be submitted to faith, and if a rational conclusion conflicted with a revelation of faith, it should be discarded.

On the other hand there are religions and religious beliefs that do not preach a submission to earthly authority, or that do not have a strict dogma. Could these paradigms have any positive effect on people, especially when it came to protecting them from manipulation? Could belief from non-rational sources provide the individual with a stable and permanent point of reference that helps them more than it hinders them?

I think these are questions worth questioning, and I hope this is the right place to ask them.

What religion does it is it monopolizes the eventual question of god, supernatural rule. Religious institutions make a business of playing the middle-man, but since this role is so imperative to maintaining social cohesion, it becomes much more than a means to profit.

Doctrine comes to imbue society with particular protocols, the idea of sin for example: "For the wages of sin is death", that how you conduct yourself influences the after-life.

So, put your money in the collection plate and when you die, you'll be up in heaven playing badminton with Jesus.

Everyone has a perspective of the after-life, whether or not they are classically religious. Even if the after-life is "nothing" so say the atheists, a notoriously unimaginative group.

Yes it is. And honestly, in my interactions with both religious and anti-religious people, the anti-religious people almost always spew out cliche talking points they read on r/atheism. They don't realize that they adhere to dogmas too. Everyone who lives believes something. Atheism isn't the absence of belief, it's a belief in absence.

 No.3823

Science explains the how, while religion provides the why. While the institutions of religion (Roman Catholic church, etc.) can and have at times been subverted to means of mass control, the origin of religion is Man's desire for transcendence. For Abrahamic faiths (I'll say Christianity here), 'the afterlife' is just describing an eternal union (Heaven) or eternal separation (Hell) with the Creator upon death. Basically, we're trying to explain in finite, material terms what we believe happens in the infinite, metaphysical.

>>3706

Not disagreeing, but to add I think that the attraction to religion depends on the individual. While the afterlife is a motive based in an individual's fear of death and the unknown, I'd think that the prime draw to religion is an explanation for why we're here in the first place.

What effects does architecture have on society?

I saw the thought somewhere, considering the modern architecture in Europe, being a means to (literally) deconstruct the European identity. Is this valid? So much modern-architecture is garish, often vain grandiose expression, gimmicky, void of utility, and its of the quality no matter where you are.

There's an interesting argument that architectural themes in some way represent the cultural idea of a people. I'd agree that the meaningless form of postmodern architecture mirrors the growing nihilism or emptiness of modern Western culture (postmodernism progressing and spreading with the quickening of Western decline). Not a cultured anon so sorry if this is a bit vague.

Sad to see NobodyTM ending his project. His work meant a lot to me, and has helped me in my own journey. Especially his music.

That being said, I feared this would happen eventually, all good things must come to an end.

I spent the last year archiving his work, everything. The site itself (the html files, before it was excluded from archive.is), albums, videos, art. All of it.

I know there is some stuff I am probably missing, but there was a huge amount of work put into this so it should be comprehensive.

Another thing, NobodyTM gave his final interview on this site:

http://sun-society.com/

(i am not affiliated with them)

It seems like a pretty cool site, I would be surprised if those guys don't browse this board.

He mentions that the "window for this kind of content to be produced is closing". I think a parallel internet is emerging, a decentralized one where people can share this kind of content and discuss these kinds of ideas. White noise is drowning out "wrongthink" better and better as time goes on.

I want to encourage everyone to save content and information that might be "phased out" by whoever is calling the shots. You can even see on /pol/ and half /pol/ more and more discussion of memory hole information and how the internet is rapidly changing.

To me the most effective propaganda is not shown blatantly, it lays hidden in the open whitin the ideology behind the film.

File: 2ce3d925b74f0bf⋯.jpg (28.4 KB, 279x402, 93:134, wonderwoman.jpg)

Wonder Woman, the character, was created by a psychologist named William Moulton Marston.

Superheros have always been utilized for war propaganda, patriotism, and too I can't think of an example where a superhero is rebelling against their own established government. Often, they're seen as working with their government.

But Wonder Woman, the movie, not only rewrites the history of WW1, it assists in its fictionalization establishing it as an unreality. As if WW1 wasn't vague enough in the public sphere.

Ultimately, having an invincible woman bulldozing men in trenches is titillating the feminist narrative. It piggy-backs the maternal instinct of protection, fighting against the Germans for the Allied Powers, represented by a diverse ensemble, some who act like children. Those in the audience who are to identify with Woman Woman are provided imagery for the unconscious to justify the ideology.

The closing scene where she kills her foe, the patriarchal male as a black-knight, her last words to him are "I believe in love." which is the foundation of self-perceived virtue, the essence of propaganda. I should mention, of course, her weapon is the "Lasso of Truth".

Also, there's an emphasis chemical weapons in the movie, relevant politically.

I had downloaded some films recently, because I used to watch a lot of movies. The movies I'll comment on are The Shape of Water (2017) and Taxi Driver (1976) (for old times sake, I'd seen it before).

Taxi Driver is a great story, except for the fact that there's a lot of 'nam veteran crap in movies from those times. I guess that's just something that was in the heads of people at best or at worst some way to relate to audience. Also Robert de Niro is "shaped" by it, but I couldn't spot any real manipulating "assumptions" like they do nowadays. No subtle rewritings of history that I could find. Good movie.

Next up: The Shape of Water.

spoiler alert. I'm kidding, there's nothing to "spoil" about this piece of shit.

Setting is somewhere mid or second half of 20th century (because of those "soviet assholes" who play one of the enemies, a subject I'll touch later on), no internet, etc. The lead is some "latina" who can't talk. She can hear though. At first there's a scene of her masturbating every morning in the bathtub, which triggers my feminism radar. Why is it necessary to show that she does it every morning? (the movie shows the loop she lives in, which supports the narrative.) To show that she's lonely? I think the fact that she can't talk, only communicates with her neighbor and 1 black colleague (which I will talk about in a sec) and the fact that she lives alone are all clear signs of her being lonely. So why else would the movie display such "graphic" content. I think to make it look like it was already something that's normal and something not to be frowned upon in that day and age. That women should not feel ashamed to fuck themselves every day. She goes to work with some stereotypical has-her-hart-in-the-right-place-but-still-funny black woman. She supports her mute colleague and they clean together every day. Which presupposes blacks and "latinos" (in quotes because she's more like spanish than south-american) where hanging out together all the time in that time period. Which makes it reasonable to assume it's supposed to be that way (as a viewer), and you should not discriminate. Her neighbor is a gay pot smoking semi-old man who tries to be gay in a time where it wasn't that easy. His life isn't easy as he's in between jobs and gets fucked ovPost too long. What's with the popularization of the term "smart phone"? When did it start, and from which source? Is the ascribing of a human characteristic (intelligence) to inanimate technological objects merely a marketing ploy, or is there something more sinister at play?

Two ways of looking at it as i see it

1. When it's [the current year], and you live in a 'post'-Soviet world (i.e. the world created by the victors of WW2), the names of new technology are just as affected by Freudo-Marxist/'SJW' language policing and terminology as everything else. And just as with the Communist terms of old like 'struggle session' or 'social fascism', the main purpose is always *obscurantism*; concealing the true nature, downplaying, putting rainbow colours and ukulele music on it etc. Think 'fake news', 'deep fakes', 'post-truth', 'hate speech' etc.

It's almost like a metaphor for the (new) technology itself. I know there's a specific term for this that's slipped my mind right now, but think about how technology, as it's sold and spread to more and more normies, becomes increasingly less modifiable - everything gets better and 'smarter', yet it feels less and less like you have a say over the details and actions of the tech. The bureaucracy of googling, scrolling through endless tech help forum posts, calling the help lines - the inherent backdoors and keyloggers are obscured, and the 'Intel inside' is irremovable (without voiding warranty).

2. It's just another product of a long line of, what a mate of mine used to call, 'Engineered Autism'. Infantalization. Returning to the 'innocent' Id - uneating the forbidden fruit. Like Sammy touches on in vid related, Android shit being named after children's sweets. Adult colouring books, 'oddly satisfying' videos, fidget spinners etc. GUIs with big 'old people' buttons like the hospital scene from Idiocracy.

It's also an aspect of the postmodernism and sexualization of society (bear with me here). If you've read any Bataille or other French philosophers this might make more sense to you.

As everyone knows, nature and our 'natural' connection to it, isn't inherently 'good' in the modern sense - beautiful plants can be deadly and open flowers are like yonic symbols for bees, the lovely forest animal calls we hear are from animals in fright or looking for pussy, the oil we use is the remains of mass dead animal and plant life. Nature is both a chaos and a magic, and erotism is a part of this 'chaos magic' that 'can't' be integrated into society. Think of the arthoPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Does anyone here know if normalizing audio has any subversive mental effects on the listener?

German state run Television movies and a good number of german dubs of hollykike shit seem to have greatly castrated the audible range of frequencies in their audio tracks.

I'm not sure if it's the same kind of faggotry used by the (((Music Industry))) but all the voices, music and sound effects in prerecorded media shown on channels like ARD and ZDF feel unnaturally loud and carry this weird white(?) noise.

It leads to weird shit where other sounds/sound effects like a door closing, footsteps, chair noises, and worst of all, eating noises*god do I wanna gas the kikes who produce this shit with taxpayer money have the same or greater volume as the characters talking onscreen, the music does it too.

Throughout these movies every sound no matter how insignificant blares in and out at full blast, it pains the brain and makes one wonder wether or not the entire thing is a shitty dub when it in all likelihood is not.

Oddly enough low-budget documentaries and news reports do not do this, they sound fairly natural all things considered.

 No.3785

>>3777

Normalizing audio doesn't have any detrimental effects. In music and video, it's an important step that makes it so that the end consumer doesn't have to adjust their speaker volume from song to song and scene to scene. It's essentially just a method of audio level standardization.

Dynamics processing as mentioned by >>3778 is meant to control sounds which are too loud and make quiet sounds louder and more audible. Overuse of it can definitely cause unnatural effects. I'd say that would be the work of an unskilled audio producer.

What you're referring to sounds more like the use of sound effects and foley in general. Producers tend to make everyday noises audible because it makes it more immersive. The more immersed you are, the more you watch. Same thing with music in TV shows. A well-crafted, attention grabbing piece of media will have realistic ambient noise (varies depending on the scene and setting), audibly-pleasing sound effects, and music that carries you from scene to scene and emotion to emotion.

A good example of this would be to watch an episode of the british version of Kitchen Nightmares, which has no music and sound effects, and compare it to the american version which is loaded with it. It's much easier to tear your attention away from the british version since it's not affecting your physiology to the same degree as the american version, which is more immersive and exciting. The motivation for using effects in this case is simply to keep people watching a certain show, but the same tactics can be used to hypnotic effect.

i know what you mean, i'm fucking disgusted when im in the cinema and they have some dumb bitch whisper her lines, then they turn it all the way up and you can hear the spit ruminate in her mouth, like bitch SPEAK UP i can hear what you ATE for lunch. its obviously not how people speak and maybe just desensizites you to mouth breathing ways. its farfetched though i think its just a result of the dropped quality of everything involving this stuff

 No.3792

You mean making everything louder in music, etc? Yeah. Ignore the dribbling retards in this thread talking about something else entirely.

The massive amounts of bass and just the loudness of the music as standard contributes to listener fatigue. Look up the side effects of it. Tiredness, more docile, etc.

Almost all popular music (chart music) has massive bass probably because of this. I mean, you can say it's just coincidence but even in the 90's when the loudness shit really took off it was happening then too.

It's not that the sound effects themselves are over-amplified, at times it feels as if the entire audio stream was downsampled or mastered on piss-poor equipment.

Best I can describe it as sounding akin to low bitrate lossy audio coding artifacts, but with a bit of CRT static mixed in.

Trash like Notruf Hafenkante and other dumb shit aimed senile boomers age 65 and up seems to be most affected by this, although the German dub of the original Blade Runner and several other normalfag movies show the same thing.

Is it something that's only done OTA? Found an old home taped VHS of the 5th element from the early 2000s and it has this audio weirdness too albeit applied in a more uniform manner while BDrips and Jewtube clips do not.

Don't think it's my TV, its speakers provide fairly standard quality when watching pirated anime or playing gaymes.

I hope /32/ are familiar with Miles Mathis, the classical artist/thinker and unofficial premier of the truth movement [http://mileswmathis dot com/updates.html]. His articles are essential reading, they pick up what the truth movement has largely missed and they cite much verifiable evidence. Please take a look at the link and leaf through to see what takes your interest. You won't regret reading.

His art is very fake. I commented this elsewhere online and it didn't take long for him to try to make a defence on his website claiming it's the camera he uses, which goes to show it's still fake and he doesn't know how a real artist can tell. It also means he's combing the internet for commentary about himself, or even posting threads about himself to study reactions.

I've studied traditional atelier art for a long time. His "work" sticks out like a sore thumb, including the numerous inconsistencies that I won't mention. To point out the obvious flaws is to give him room to correct them and maintain his facade.

Since his art isn't genuine I have no reason to believe anything he posts. Plus there's the long string of flawed thinking in everything he writes.

Can you at least explain what you mean by "fake?" Like it's digital or what?

Mathis is just an avatar for a think tank

Not the same anon, but I am also a trained artist and feel that I can pick up the ball on the previous statements. There is a certain organic nature that should flow in the composition of a piece of art. To explain this in another manner: there should be a universal "language" of design in any compitent composition that ties together the themes of a piece along with its style and message. Many of the pieces this artist produces seem like hack jobs of classic art and modern photography that simply do not mash together or having glaring flaws in composition. This is not to say that the artists writing do not carry a significant weight. However, topically speaking, an artists work is usually an extension of who they are and flaws in artistic composition (wether technical or thematic) can show a subtle underhanded attempt at emulation of other works by other artists:if an artist is merely emulating the styles of another in their work and not being true to themselves then I would think any expression of political doctrine by the artist may also be critically flawed and not a representation of the artists true opinions.

Original fake identifier here.

This was not what I meant at all, but nice job taking the opportunity to try to redirect the critique ;-)

Can we start a thread for screen-caps and charts? Sort of like a typical "Red Pill" thread on /pol/ but of a take-it-or-leave it nature. I tried posting one on /pol/ but it was deleted pretty fast by the dom, who is transparently an arsehole, unlike our "sniffles" who at least pretends to be chill.

Post them if you've got them.

iirc BO said it does mean something only the oldest of oldfags would know and he'd like to keep it that way. It doesn't have to do with masonry, surprisingly.

Only thing that comes to mind is delete system32 but that's not so old that only the oldest of oldfags would remember it. I swear it rings a bell, I probably wasn't around for it but I feel like I've heard it discussed by those oldfags long ago.

There was like a /k/ screencap in this thread arguing in depth about the government not being able to survive against an armed populace in the case of insurgency or something. It looks like it 404'd, does anybody have it?
