Black coffee purist anon here. I have to disagree with you faggots tho.

Coffee can be good with milk and sugar. Sure, it will ruin any palatable basic brew, but lattes and the like can be good. In addition, "cold foam" (not that Starbucks shit) are always good. There's an Italian technique of pouring cream over an ice cold spoon that causes some cool effects. Milk and milk-products have a long history in coffee, and steaming milk opens up a world of opportunities.

Sugar, or any sweet additive, can also make a great drink when used properly. I've taken to taking shots of espresso over a spoonful of sugar. It carmalizes the sugar and is quite good. Honey, maple syrup, etc all have different uses, too.

I'm mainly an anime guy and it's been like 5 years since I last finished a videogame. Is there such a thing as comfy videogames? If so, can anyone recommend me so some good ones to play on friday nights?

The closest thing I know of is Katawa Shoujo but I think that's more so because of the OST plus it's a VN so there isn't any real gameplay. Others I've played that kind of had a comfy feel to it were Recettear and some obscure Japanese 3D platformer I sadly can't figure the name of but it's on steam so I might find out later.

I personally enjoy flying DCS and reading a good book at the same time.

1) Pick plane you like

2) Slap on fuel-tanks and fill her up

3) set weather to worst conditions imaginable (night, stormy, no moon)

4) take off using instruments only

5) set course for some distant airport

6) try to get above the clouds with maximum fuel load

7) read book while listening to engine noise, occasionally correct course

8) set up instruments for instrument only landing

9) contact ATC

10) attempt to land

>Unless pulverizing punks is relaxing to you.

Actually I always found comfy games like Streets of Rage, as they are not as fast as the games I usually play and the music is really nice. Great games for short breaks.

Drawing, reading genuine waifu stuff, listening to creepypasta narrations, posting, and talking with friends. I've been thinking I should get more hobbies but since having gotten a job and needing to keep up with my workouts I feel tired more often. I would like to draw more too, I'm way too lazy about it. I want to write in my diary more too, it's therapeutic for me.

>Feeling

I have this odd sort of feeling where I'm calm, but pensive. Things need to get done, but I have to wait. I'm also very tired of work. It takes so much of ones precious time and its rarely ever important work. I resent this system for a number of reasons though, not just the immediate personal ones.

>Sipping

I'm a warmblooded girl and live in a warm area, so I normally drink lattes over ice. Aside from caffeinated drinks I usually just drink water.

>Comfy

I wish I had a little home of my own, but more time to myself so I could read, write and draw. Work feels like a prison sentence. I wish I was in a Norwegian prison.

>In mind

A lot. Quite a bit. Immediate plans, future plans, IE dreams, escape plans, sociopolitical theories, artistic projects both large and small.

Animated or live-action? While I haven't seen any of his works myself yet, Yasujirō Ozu's films are supposed to very relaxing and almost hypnotic to watch because they center around the daily life of their respective characters and don't really have any intense action scenes going on. As for anime, I'd recommend Kiki's Delivery Service (if you haven't seen it yet) and Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru/Night on the Galactic Railroad.

Well, they're just the Oxford World classics editions (it's my go to for most things). I like the translations and found them a fun read, but I'm no expert in Latin translation so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I'm depressed because I there is no romance in my life, and there is no romance in my life because I'm depressed. I've begun to realize love is a base psychological need and it is nigh-impossible to truly be happy without it.

I tried explaining this to a therapist/"counselor" but they argued against it, saying that "Many learn to be happy without love." I responded by saying that their comment implicitly acknowledged that I was right, because one has to learn to be happy without love, implying that the default statecp is unhappy. Additionally, I also remarked that their comment didn't actually offer me a solution to my problems, rather it suggested to simply ignore them, which is a very unintuitive way to deal with issues. They quickly changed the subject.

How do I rectify this, especially in our brave new love-less world?

All you have to do is accept that women are incapable of feeling empathy towards men and that in this day and age they aren't worth your energy. Also, you need to realise that your desire for women comes from your natural desire to have sex. Once you realise how absurd the concept of putting a piece of meat in another piece of meat is though, you'll slowly lose that desire.

Anyway, this belongs on /r9k/, not on a comfy board.

Love comes from you. All the love that you ever felt comes from you. Yes, I know, you want to be appreciated by a girlfriend, but that may be some ways off for some (It's difficult even for well adjusted people)

Take care of yourself, grow in any way you can, eat right, exercise, learning, etc. Love. Love whatever, but above all, love yourself, grow confidant and you will eventually become more attractive to some.

Comfy doesn't necessarily have to mean sleepy. I usually need an energy drink to get through the day.

Went to a vintage store, walked out having bought something cool, bought some cinnamon rolls at the nearby Kroger, got two pizzas from Dominos, then ate pizza while watching Jurassic Park. Somehow I'm super tired but it was an easy day. Before all that I talked a friend through something tough and he left from the conversation feeling motivated and happier so I'm glad I could do that for him.

I'm trying to find a job, but I haven't been too productive about it. I have some cake downstairs, and I've been thinking about some past interactions I've had.

Spent the day cycling out in the rain, which came and went from drizzle to dry all day. Took the long route to stop by for lunch at a good place I know downtown.

I stopped at the library and read for a good while on a random collection of epigrams and aphorisms I found, written by Chamfort, a late 18th century French writer. Someone played the piano somewhere across the small and deep courtyard, I recognized a piece from Philip Glass among them. "Opening" from "Glassworks", I think it was.

"There are more people who wish to be loved than there are who are willing to love."

It's late over here, I should go to bed. There are things in need of being done tomorrow.

I finished it awhile ago. Most of it seemed very commonsenseical (A thing is it's essence and that is how things are, a thing can be made of properties but is not itself just the collection of those properties, etc) so I'm pretty sure that a good chunk of it went over my head.

I guess the most "striking" thing would be his arguments with Platonic Metaphysics but my favorite part was Aristotle's summery of past Philosophy in the first section.

Are you on a journey? If so, what is your journey? What is your destination? What is your goal? If you aren't, why not start now?

I'm on a journey. I'm training for a marathon. Currently I am out of shape and unkempt, but soon I will be just like my favorite anime characters. In shape and clean.

I wouldn't call it a journey. Rather, it's a puzzle game; the longest puzzle game to ever exist. It'll take three to five years to beat. It's a poorly balanced one, as it seems that the harder puzzles are at put at the beginning, but they're fun all the same.

The best part? By the time I finish the game, there will already be a sequel out. And by the time I finish that, there will be another. I never have to live without my puzzles.

>I'm training for a marathon

I hope you're following a schedule. Don't overwork yourself, and be sure to have easy days each week. It's not a constant climb to reach 26 miles, it's more of a roller coaster of training speed, distance, and endurance. I haven't done a marathon (only a half), but I'm close with people who have, and there's more to the training than meets the eye.

Even if you're just trying to get/stay in shape, you need to look at every aspect of your life for ways to improve: sleeping enough, cutting excessive snacking, constant hydration, stretching, etc. It takes perseverance, but you can do it!
