A majority of Asians have high performance intelligence which fits well with testing into better schools and jobs, even though American Asians in general don't make it into their deserved class, despite the model minority myth. When people studied in El Salvador they had no potions for them, i have a relative who graduated as a doctor two years ago and hasn't found work.
They have distinc facial features, as a beaner we either come off as either european or mexican, despite the variety of countries in central/south America and spanish Europe and we have very vauge facial features. Although peru has gotten japanese immagrants for reason. Asian eyes are beautiful to me, i personally feel japanese and koreans have a higher standard when it comes to being presentable than US and central america.
I'm envious that my parents homeland haven't supersede their government approved neighboring cocain gang epidemic, that has taken an already poor country and war taxed it. The media is full of glorified cartel dramas and jews. the soccer team of Mexico just bought a disgusting victory last year by forcing penalties till they win. i don't know if Asian in general is safer than south/central America, but if it is, it would be one-sided. Where my parents live you actually can't send your kinds to school because they're forced to join gangs, i'd be surprised if the yakuza is anywhere near as rampant as the cannibalistic cartels, although it's common for asian americans to join gangs if they fail school, regardless they can't be as self-destructive as latino american gangs.
I know that japan isn't the misconceived idea of an anime wonderland (but regardless of the 30% of men to the 18% of women who will never date in the same age group) their media at least tries to appeal to their people. When i visited, we had only spanish dubbed american cartoons, and the spanish channels here in america are either bad cartoons or rip off shows for children. The only salvadorian show for kids i have ever found was that flamingo boy super hero cartoon. Even in terms of dramas asians have better variety. You can watch media that takes jabs at minorities or warn of jewish globalization, makes fun of gays, with a art style free of morality. I have only looked at asian media as deep as it's media show, i'm not aware of the propaganda their shows push.
I know Asia has it's own problems and many asians are heavily effected by their own expected success culture, while my family is glad i haven't lost a limb to a local american gang.
