I have curly hair and I've been doing a sort of undercut style thing with it lately. Sides short to the point where it's not curly, fades quickly to a length enough that there's relatively loose noticeable curls all throughout the top. I use a hair product to down the frizziniess and send it off to the side a little bit as well.
Anything else I try to do basically becomes a mini jew fro, so this is about my best option.
