From this post there spawned an idea, if you can move things with your mind alone even if it is through a wearable interface, is that not by definition telekinesis?

And if you can do it with an external interface you might be able to do it without one..

I guess it depends on the device.

You could remotely access things with a phone or the internet.

 No.142

I think people have made setups where they control a drone with an EEG headset, which seems a bit like telekinesis.

That's what prompted this thread.

Other psychic-like tech is also interesting, simple interfaces for picking up

electromagnetic signals have sometimes been used for detecting ghosts

or anomalous activity attributed to spirits which would otherwise be

beyond our level of perception.

This deserves its own thread, we may have history in the making. The EM Drive is still being tested by NASA and showing much promise.

The pic also fits pretty well here.

Estimates of travel speeds using this tech are astounding.

Apparently according to this article, the EM Drive could get us to Mars in only 70 days.

Before posting in this thread, note that science and physics are mostly

composed of theories for the things they don't yet fully know, like in the case

of gravity. Which means some theories are inadequate when it comes to

explaining it properly, let alone practical application.

Science means working knowledge, but as evidenced by the current culture

of computer users you don't have to have full working knowledge of a thing

to be able to discuss it or use it. You could even make a thing without understanding

it fully, in science and physics the explanation often follows after new inventions or discoveries have been made.

Pic's from a video showing an acoustic levitation chamber.

This thread is for anything related to hovering using sound.

Acoustic levitation is cool, but requiring two amplifiers constantly above and below the object, and a power source to boot could be a problem for transportation.

It'd give ya a mighty headache too, I'd assume.

I've had a lot of dreams of hovering or flying, so I

decided to make a thread about it.

 No.136

In my dream I had while sleeping a few months back there was a hoverboard and I was

tinkering with it as if I was either making one or fixing one. It was white and had a white box

made of plastic with electronic components inside it like capacitors and resistors.

The room was half lit or more dark than bright. With the components in place it hovered

a good 6-8 inches or 10 -16 cm off the floor.

H20 has a lot of uses in terms of energy.

This thread is about fluidic systems, HVAC, atmospheric water collectors, freezers, fridges,

superconductors and effects in any way related to fluids or the atmosphere.

Bismuth levitation?

 No.109

I thought about changing the thread title to manmade flying saucers but this way the thread is more generalized for alternative propulsion.

>>108

Bismuth is diamagnetic which means it repels magnets. The magnetic field of the magnet is repelled from the bismuth just like the same pole of another magnet which induces magnetic levitation. See this thread >>48
