Did Dean ever have any matches in NXT before the Shield? I know he was in FCW but I don't remember him ever having an NXT match before joining the shield. Rollins had a ton, even Roman had 1 or 2

I think the closest he came to winning a big match was the ladder match with Sef for the title, and that ended in a fuck finish and nothing came from it. The big theory is he loses these big matches and momentum every time because Vince & creative don't want him more over than Roman. Hell he had to go film that movie and be written off conveniently after he was the most over on the roster and Roman was coming back from exploded guts. He's in a Cesaro position where the crowd absolutely loves the guy, but he keeps getting cut down at the knees because they might be bad for the golden boy.

Also on the lariat, I'm happy he's calmed down a bit on it. Late 2015 he was doing the fucking move like 3-4 times a match.

What's even been happening with TNA lately?

I feel really bad for TNA, even if their product gets good they'll always have the shitty stigma Dixie has given the whole thing.

File: 1459983942069.webm (959.04 KB, 634x360, 317:180, AJ Styles vs. Bully Ray (….webm)

Seems like a lot of TNA superstars are going to WWE (Dudleyz, AJ, Aries, Bobby Roode).

I'd love to see the Hardyz come back to WWE but I'd be scared of how shitty they might be booked. Dudleyz got boring pretty quick IMO until they finally turned heel. I actually liked how they talked about not wanting to be a nostalgia act because up until then all their matches were pretty much the same. I guess they still kinda are but at least we have Bubba loudly talking shit and them removing Samoa.

Also, have a webm from a great Bully Ray vs AJ Styles match.

 No.18027

>>18025

I imagine that a lot of their talent leaving for WWE is gonna hit them pretty hard. What younger guys do they have besides EC3?

The 6 sided ring is also a really stupid decision that never works with any promotion

 No.18029

>>18022

They're looking for investors, last I heard there was a group interested but they wanted 51% stake in the company and Dixie to have 49%. Of course Dixie in her bullheadedness turned them down because every time this has happened she never wants to give up majority control I guess due to feeling like a failure if she did. In their current situation they really don't have the ability to turn down offers like that but she did it again.

>>18025

I don't know if I want to see an older and fatter Matt & Jeff flying around my screen, it's depressing enough as is.

>>18027

They have several guys they signed from smaller promotions, but they're going to have to build them up.

 No.18116

>>18027

They got some guys that has potential of being stars. EC3 as you mentioned, E-Li Drake who already is close to the top in mic-skills in the world, they seem to have a plan with Mike Bennett and his wife Maria Kanellis which they have been consistent with. And they seem really high on Drew Galloway (i'm not, i'm going to go out on a limb and say he lacks the it-factor to be anything else than an upper-midcarder. He doesn't connect).

I think it's important that TNA is still around and that they will grow back their audience again, it won't happen over night but it will if they continue to put on good shows for a year or two. Would TNA go out of business it would put a blow to wrestling as it would either be WWE or WWENXT, which is WWE. And it would suuuuck.

AJ Styles, only a few months after his debut, is slotted to be defeated by Roman Reigns at the next PPV. I mean, no dirt sheet has reported that he will lose but everyone knows it. He will be definitely slotted as midcarder #47.

Unless Anderson and Gallows debut and Styles turns heel with them

I don't even get it, Payback was moved to be after Wrestlemania so you'd think it would be about HHH trying to get revenge.

That's the issue I've always had with him, he's sub-par at best but they pair him with these world class workers and expect you to say see he can go great, love him damn it. All it proves is that he has to be carried hard to a good match.

 No.18093

If that happens, I'd rather have him feud with Jericho for the rest of his run.

 No.18103

AJ is one of the biggest faces in the company. Reigns destroying him mercilessly like jericho did to him could be the way to turn him full heel. I'm sad as a Styles fan but his heel turn with bulletclub/balor club/bulletproof is probably coming sometime near summerslam

face Rollins vs heel Reigns soon, lads

 No.18106

Smackdown might be interesting tonight. I read the spoilers but I'd like to see what actually happens, like if Roman gives off more heel vibes.

Also wonder if they'll finally stop editing cheers into Roman's entrance/actions. By now everyone knows he gets heavy boos.

We all know that Smackdown has edited boos/cheers, but I can always tell it's edited when I can hear someone yell what sounds like "DO IT MAN, DO IT" in the background.

Anyone else notice this yell? It's also in WWE 2K15 and 2K16.

They really couldn't make it more obvious that they edit their crowd. I wish they'd at least stop using this one.

You can hear it in webm related at about 10 seconds in

He feuds with heels instead of faces. I don't think they would really need to change their attitude very much. The crowd becoming 'fireflies' during their entrance pretty much guarantees they'll be cheered instead of booed in nearly any situation.

Isn't the main roster suffering from a lack of good heels though?

 No.18013

Yes, they are. I don't think Wyatts should turn face any time soon, but I also think that their full potential lies in them being face, even if a big part of the reason why is because the audience can interact with their entrance.

Lets talk LU /wooo/, what do you think about the pseudo wrestling promotion/tv show? Personally, I think it's great and is what sports entertainment should be considered. The quality of matches is also good on a week to week basis.

I think it is the definition of an alternative when people talk about looking for one when they don't like what WWE is doing at the time.

>AJ vs Jericho

4.25/5

I'm an AJ fanboy so I'm willing to forgive some of the sloppiness of the match. Jericho looked good but I disliked that he won.

>LON vs New Day

Decent tag match, nothing else. The stuff afterwards with the 3 legends was fantastic

Disappointed a lot, Ambrose gave it his all but Brock was boring old suplexshit. PG shit didn't even allow Dean to go full Moxley, wish he won.
