Not him, but IMO the heads and some hips are too big. They are like the mother in "The Incredibles". And the feet are too small.

The 2D art is OK, though. But they don't say too much about the characters.

Why are the animes fighting non-animes? I'd rather play anime on anime violence than participate in a world where anime is real and murders real people. Unless there are non-anime grunts on both sides

there seem to be three different artstyles in the game: manga art in the VN cutscenes and inventory screen, chibi during loading and in camp and 3D chibified in-game.

While I fand all of them good, perhaps it would be better to stay with just two or stick to one? I'd vote for the VN style because it does feel unique.

But I would discardthe chibi stuff or just keep it for loading.

These soldiers still look like anime but the girls are a bit too chibi I think. The dev said he likes Valkiria Chronicles and they managed to have properly proportioned characters. Then again, the moefication used to go even deeper

On the other hand, the top down view might not be well suited for amore realistic style.

it's pretty good considering how dense the terrain is with vegetation. Runs smooth on my potato.

Tried the 0.4.52 build on Linux using Wine 4.0, needs DXVK (otherwise only UI is visible). It's playable, only downside is this visual bug.

Would this happened to be inspired by this manga "Groundless"? It kinda has the same feel with the impromptu militia units roughly trained and the scarcity of equipment and resources.
