How's everyone doing today?

 No.2611

Not bad, nothing in particular planned or going on today, just chilling out. Ordered a camera UV filter and a book about photography for my dad's birthday, so that's a weight off my mind.

Yourself?

Seriously. I've had 6 and a bit hours sleep in the last 4 days I can't deal with this.

Crisp update: what began as a bizzare menagerie of flavours, turned into something quite wonderful. A taste that is both unique and powerful without being overbearing. I must subtract points for the smell however, though it's unsurprising given what the flavours are, it slight mars what is otherwise an exceptional crisp. 8/10 would eat again.

That's often true, especially for games that were impressive solely because of the graphics. I can enjoy some older games more though by looking at the level design, colour themes, unique mechanics, etc., and appreciating how much work it would have been to pull the whole project off. This article really opened my eyes to how much work went into just the colours of the levels in spyro the dragon for example: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/131581/lessons_in_color_theory_for_spyro_.php

Thanks guys, hopefully I'll be able to get shit done tomorrow too and I wont fail at life.

Trouble Sleeping and my heart is racing. Just checked print times and it says 48 hours is standard turnaround, and you can pay to speed it up, it's probably busy so I'll assume 36 hours, maybe less if I pay, which is an option as I'm okay for money.

Gives me a day more than I expected, although still not much, at least there's no "what if it takes a week" floating around in my head anymore, hopefully this will calm me down.

alright lads? What are some good ways to keep the mind sharp? I'm far too depressed to study enough to keep up with the Open Uni degree, think I'm going to have to drop it. Don't want to tell my family though.

Yeah, got weightless on, gone through once and my hearts just about slowed down to normal. Another couple of loops then I'll head back to bed. Even found a binding place in the city that promises a 6 hour turnaround, bet they're pricey though.

Everything is going to be okay.

I've been thinking about playing a ROM for one of those brain training games for the DS, but i've been to busy with my project to start it yet, I also found http://brainworkshop.sourceforge.net/

which seems pretty cool and I'd like to try out. It's about remembering multiple patterns at once pretty fast and it's supposed to do you good.

I started back on this today after seeing you mention a couple of times, I think I'll fare better than last time too. Doing at little each day shouldn't be a bother now that I've got a more structured daily routine.

Speaking of which, I should get washed and go to bed, goodnight guys.

this looks cool as fuck. Fully decentralised education when?

>government standard exams for various subjects

>all of the learning is up to you, only thing you are given is an online list of comprehensive learning outcomes
>just pay a fee for each exam you take

would be amazing. You could work totally on your own time and even get degrees while in full time work, stopping and starting as you please. In general I'm very traditionalist but I sincerely believe an open education system is the future. What did you start with? Fundamentals/early math?

I'd advise just starting up with something codeish but easy like html right now, it doesn't require the thinking real programming does but trains you to notice errors in syntax and stuff that can be transferred over.
