I'll be honest. I was thinking of setting up a little business out of this. As once I found out it… I realised that even though the NUS recognised E-Careers as a legitimate learning provider, that there was no actual offical data linking the colleges. So you're able to put in any information you want. Ergo making fake IDs, which are actually genuine articles. Was thinking of making a website to sell them at double the cost of making them.

Well I expected a majority because Cons still had many seats from the last election and had a good five years, compared to the last goverments.
Also, Millipede had a pretty bad reputation, from his own party and in the general public.
I also think some of the werkin' class blokes who voted Labour all their lives switched to UKIP and some of the commie student types turned to Green.

That "documented fact" WAS the government's fault, that's my point. The UK was a real shitty place to be if you were a working-class married couple in their mid to late 20s with any children at all, living in small 1 - 2 bedroom houses in the early to mid 90s.
That wasn't a bizarre alternative lifestyle (although it has arguably become so since then), it was the norm for decades prior to that point. Thanks to poor economic decisions by the government before and during that period, it was made almost impossible to get by as working-class family without cutting weekly spending beyond what would be considered "comfortable", like having no dinner or electricity for the odd days of the week and things like that.
I'll repeat, these were WORKING parents, my dad worked days, and my mum worked nights, and they still lived like shit through that period.
I won't say they didn't make mistakes (they ended up hating each other and divorcing after all), but it certainly makes me at least a little worried now that we're back with a conservative majority, and I'm currently less prepared for the world than they were; a useless NEET aspie.

Alright, some practice questions:
#1: If you are fending off a hacker attack, can you increase your chances of success if you have an extra person typing on the keyboard?
#2:Can you code a HUI in visual basic for the purpose of pinging someone's i.p?

#1: If you are fending off a hacker attack, can you increase your chances of success if you have an extra person typing on the keyboard?
While popular depictions of both hacking and cyber security in the media tend to display the idea of having a second person typing on a computer being a benefit when it comes to these areas, with American Crime shows being the most prominent example, such as Bones and CSI, generally it is something that would be considered by most to be a detriment to the quality of the work done, or to the ability of both parties.
If there was an instance where two people were at a computer dealing with a cyber-attack, I do not doubt that the knowledge of two experts would not provide a bonus to what was going on, however the very idea of two people using one keyboard is incredibly idiotic, and synchronising key presses would be incredible difficult without some sort of hive mind.
As a solution to this, the two experts could simply notify the other when they were typing a command, but this would be better dealt with through the use of multiple keyboards and a system to lock out a second user when the first was typing. Alternatively you could hire twins to work as your security experts, with their natural psychic connection proving a great advantage.
#2:Can you code a HUI in visual basic for the purpose of pinging someone's i.p?
Visual basic contains a shell execute function to run external applications, allowing you to open them and run commands, as such the following code would be of use:
ShellExecute (NULL, "open", "C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\cmd.exe", "/c \"ping 192.168.0.1"", NULL, SW_SHOW );
This code could be programmed into a button to simply ping the target, in this case a local address of 192.168.0.1. For additional usage, the button could be paired with a textbox, where a user would type in an IP address. Once the button was pressed, the contents of the text box could be saved to a string, and the string used within the code, placed where the IP address currently is.
#3: Are we in Tron at the moment?
The lack of brightly glowing lights in the immediate vicinity leads the majority of the public to believe we are not in Tron, however this may not be entirely true, we could exist within a second computer simulation within tron, one without excessive graphics, however testing this theory would be incredibly different, and except for causing the public to riot, finding out the answer would not cause any change in the makeup of reality, at least for day to day life.
#4: EXTRA CREDIT: Please ignore the mistakes in this exam. They are there to test any dissent you may harbour.
I did not witness any mistakes in the questions. I am ready to comply.

Hopefully I can keep going at work, if I quit just before college I'll be working till september which seems like a long, long time away. What sustains me at the moment is the rumour circulating that we might be getting our wages bumped up to £8/hour.

I guess it's long over for me then. Any time I've anyone has been even remotely friendly towards me, they end up distancing themselves as my "incompatible-with-other-people" personality aka: asperger's starts to reveal itself.
And the last time that happened was 4 years ago, when I was still at college and got forced into a group because my tutor noticed I'd been sitting on my own for weeks instead of doing any of the group work (in other words, it was luck/chance, nothing I did myself).
Maybe some of us are just destined to be alone.

Thinking how I'd have to wake up at half 6 to go to a job I didn't like, every sunday night I'd normally watch a tv show till like 2-3am because my anxiety was too bad to sleep. I knew aspergers people in secondary school and they were both well liked and had loads of friends.
One even had a girlfriend who sucked him off in the toilets. He was a complete autist too, and not good looking. He drew spongebob most of the time. This was at sixteen btw.
The other one went to gaming events and played up on stage, he also went to the gym.
I am not autistic so I think it is something other than autism that makes us robots. Although being autistic helps.

Thjere are ways around it, going out drinking and asking to use someones lighter in a smoking area, chatting to them and trying to get along, can take a while though, and you have to hope they go there the same time you do. Also a bit weird going out alone.
You can make friends at a new job, they wont know you dont have friends outside work if you dont spaghetti everywhere, same goes for if you join a club or some volunteering thing.
It's hard, but not impossible. It's also surprising how many people that you went to school with are still available fro friendships, it may have been years since you've seen them, but that's a good think, youve probably both changed, and there's a lot of initial stuff to talk about in regards to what you've done over the years, you then add them on facebook and find some sort of common connection like a sport, some music or a tv show, talk about that. The problem here is running into them, but it might not be too hard if you're in a small town, just figure out what pub they go to.

I think I was the only person here who actually got "Robot" on that quiz a while ago. You need a certain degree of self-confidence and "having your life together" to even get yourself into situations like those, without just freaking out at the thought. For some people I think it's just never going to happen unless they end up back in education or work, and have a bit of luck to go along with it.

Oh yeah, having your shit together is definitely a first step, but I guess you should be trying to at least do that to some degree anyway, whether it be getting into an actual sleeping pattern, or making sure you do something other than browse mongolian cave painting forums all day. Go make friends isnt the first step for sure.
Im quite lucky, despite the fact that I only talked to them once every few months over the last 3 years, my friends from back in school havent abandoned me, and now that I'm somewhat getting myself in order theyre more than happy to do stuff.

Most of what I see is just roads and motorways, but on the odd occasion we end up driving through a town, or going past places I remember as a kid, it's a strange experience.
