Congratulations Scum! You're an imp, born by getting chucked out of the sea of chaos into the pits of Gehenna. You're the lowest weakest and least magical of demon kind, used as fodder and food for your betters. However with some time , much work and a massive amount of luck you might ascend to the rank of lesser demon.
You dream the dream that all demons dream, to raise yourself to the rank of Demon Lord. To gain complete dominion over a pit and make it your own. However the road is long, dark, hard and is full of competition and other pitfalls. However you're now completely without merit as you are, even though you lack a name. For you see while all imps look more or less the same some lucky imps have a few changes and upgrades in their form that make them slightly better than their fellows. More likely to survive and thrive in the various pits the demons dwell in.

As the last tides of chaos sea return to the incorporeal mess between realms, you waken. You sea around you a myriad of other imps, born pale small and weak, no armor, no scales, no talents, no magic. The lowest Rung of the demon world you instinctively know. You soon realize you're dfifferent from the others, while you are small and weak the chaos sea and Gehenna were kind to you, you are different, oh so slightly better than most of your fellows. Then you hear a thunderous report. A demon massive in size lands in the middle of the Newborn imps and starts killing ripping and imp in half and eating the innards. This sudden assault is a signal for other demons to start their feast, and for brother imp to attack brother imp. To fill their birth hunger and maybe gain enough power to survive.

1/2 - A tasty meal though it was, the little imp cannot linger long. Other imps will surely be drawn to the fresh kill, and it's in no mood for another fight. This world is a violent place, and this valley is particularly chaotic. The only way it can survive is if it leaves, and finds the patronage of a strong demon, with wisdom like itself. It will serve the demon in exchange for protection, growing stronger and secure until it can fend for itself at last. But for now, any half-decent Demon will do, so long as it's strong enough to defend the imp and stupid enough to accept the offer.
