UdeM is home of some of the foremost experts in CS (ML, qCS, tCS, etc., including the person considered the most influential figure in CS alive today) and has some great mathematicians. UofT and McGill are also reputable. UAlberta has the only research group in computer poker and have recently been able to beat experts consistently in heads-up texas hold'em.
