I'm struggling to hold onto my faith. I've fallen into depression. I fight heretical thoughts daily.

Will you not believe that Love is the most powerful, sought after feeling on the planet? Are we not all worthy of Love?

Hold your head up high, She walks a lonely path of doing what only She can, walk with Her and help Her in Her most difficult times.

Epidemics typically follow a logistic growth pattern.

What's happening now is the official numbers for the past month or two represent approximately linear growth. This means that one of two things has happened:

1) We're in the middle of the outbreak; the outbreak will be effectively over in 4-5 months.

2) Our ability to track Ebola has been saturated; we literally cannot count any faster than we currently are.

If we continue to see linear growth over the next two months, we'll know that it's probably 2). If we start to see sub-linear growth over the next two months, it's probably 1).

If anything, this should be taken as a sign of what's at stake here. I mean, not to intimidate our less extreme members, but the showing at the Solstice/Christmas sacrifice thread was disappointing. Anything we can offer to our goddess should be considered, even if its simple writefriendery.

Do not lose hope: it only takes one accident to rev up the Happening train. Let us not take her power for granted, but instead work alongside her to make her glorious vision for humanity (whatever it may be) a reality.

That and look at the long term. Even if this epidemic falters, She's been given huge amounts of time and bodies to evolve for the next outbreak. What if in 5-10 years, she returns from the jungle and her wangs have grown? You all helped, too, with your love!
