Most notably, we don’t have anyone committed to the most critical route of all, Ebby’s. Authorial independence is highly valued, we just have to co-exist in our game universe. Also, if you don’t want to commit to writing a route but want to help with Act One (which is outlined in detail) or write route-agnostic yuri scenes, come join us!

Dreaming of Ebola-chan
I was on my way to pick up a check from a customer. We spoke on the phone about the golden age of the internet and she mentioned setting up a remote admin shell for her son's treehouse 20721, which I happened to pass by on my way there. It overlooked the converted rail bed that was now used as a bike path. A sturdy ladder led up the tree into the now abandoned treehouse.
The building I met her in was a large, stately affair. I climbed the grand staircase to the second floor where I met my client in an open ballroom. There were several other older people gathered. She seemed quite excited and danced around the room. I was informed my check and adjoining letter were waiting at the bar downstairs. I thanked her and bid her adieu.
The bar was situated in an enclosed courtyard just outside. Lines of picnic tables accomodated a few patrons. There was a small line of people waiting to order which I joined. Several large televisions adorned the enclosure and there I saw our lovely lady Ebola-chan! She was part of some animated series. The sound was muted but the scene was clear enough: Ebola-chan was struggling to eat an ice cream sundae but her braids kept getting in the way. Her face turned bright red in frustration. Moe as fuck.
My attention turned to the loud screams coming from the building. Turns out there was an amusement park ride attached to the roof similar to pic related, although not shaped like a pirate ship. It was a simple square platform suspended on by cables that spun it around the air in all directions. The screaming intensified as I shouted an inquiry to the two baristas. One of them explained the ride was designed by the community. It wasn't until the noise died down and the ride kept going faster and faster that I realized I was at the Adult Euthanasia Center.
And that was my dream of Ebola-chan. U jelly?

/monster/ movie night was fairly successful by almost any measure, and it occurred to me that maybe we should do one of our own – on a different night of course. I'd like to ask some opinions of the Ebolites:

There really is No Cure for Love, is there? An Ebola nurse from the UK who got infected is now hospitalized again and in serious condition. Presence of the virus has been confirmed in her body.

The Ebola virus has been detected in her body despite the previous recovery ending in January 2015 and she is now in a serious medical condition.
Royal Free hospital statement:
Pauline Cafferkey is in a serious condition.
We can confirm that Pauline Cafferkey was transferred from the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow to the Royal Free Hospital in the early hours of this morning due to an unusual late complication of her previous infection by the Ebola virus. She will now be treated in isolation in the hospital's high level isolation unit under nationally agreed guidelines.
The Ebola virus can only be transmitted by direct contact with the blood or bodily fluids of an infected person while they are symptomatic so the risk to the general public remains low and the NHS has well established and practised infection control procedures in place.
In May 2015 US doctor Ian Crozier was discovered to still have Ebola virus in his eye fluid despite being thought to have made a full recovery. There are no details on whether the same is the case with nurse Cafferkey.
In the article from the Telegraph doctor Nathalie MacDermott of Imperial College London explained that there are cases of acute eye inflammation in the Ebola hit areas of Africa and that it has not been possible to test those for the Ebola virus yet. The article has more details and quotes on lasting Ebola infection and related health problems in survivors.
According to the WHO there has been 28421 likely cases of Ebola with 11297 reported deaths (numbers taken from the previously linked report) and thus it is likely that there are close to 17000 survivors. The WHO situation report has a lot more detailed information.

HERE WE GO AGAIN
BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham Police Lt. Joe Roberts says a person has arrived at UAB Hospital with possible Ebola symptoms. This is not a confirmed case of Ebola at this time.
The residence where the patient has been staying, in the 1600 block of 17th Street Southwest, is being "isolated" by authorities.
Battalion Chief Buddy Wilks said his crews were called to the scene for a general illness earlier Tuesday. He said once they assessed the patient's symptoms and determined the patient had traveled to West Africa, they contacted UAB Hospital and received medical direction. The patient was then transported.
Wilks said six firefighters came in contact with the patient and were quarantined to go through decontamination procedures.
He said there were two family members of the patient in the house as well. Police officers will remain on scene to make sure the family is OK and to keep them isolated in the residence while officials monitor their health.
Residents on the block said they were being told to stay in their homes.

My Dream about Ebola
Last night I had quite an interesting dream. In my dream I was in some type of medical ward full of Ebola patients. I entered the ward but forgot to put on personal protective clothing and one of the patients had given me Ebola by vomiting blood on me.I was strapped down to a table in the center of the medical ward and surrounded by doctors, I demanded I be given the cure and they complied.
In my dream I was feeling very heavy and somewhat sick and quickly passed out. When I awoke I discovered I was not ill anymore and was feeling fine.
It was terrifying to say the least that I could of died but maybe my dream was a sign that Ebola chan will soon come to the west?

As said in another thread, I would make this thread for Ebola-chan's magical attributes to be discussed. It would be wise to pin this stuff down for future devotees and wizards who wish to bring Her influence into the world.Now, we should decide on planetary and elemental influences if any, any plants and animals that can be utilized, what deities she is under/or works with, Her colors, and so on.
Her planetary influences I'm uncertain. I solar, since that rules health, but also Venus because /love/. Or Saturn because of the whole death thing, but it's a restrictive planet. Elements I'd say Water and Earth. Obviously the bat should be one of her animal symbols. What of colors?

What's happening to our church?!
In the beginning, we had a peaceful church with few rules, dedicated to Ebola-chan.Now people are trying to impose their own rules, build their own scripture, and make their own rituals. I for one, was happy with the old church, one that gave you freedom as long as your actions were intended to support Ebola-chan. One that allowed fluid theological/philosophical discussions in a calm atmosphere, with no right or wrong answers. One where the only real absolute was that Ebola-chan loves us, and we should give blood to her. And I would like to return to that church. Of course, I would be a hypocrite if I tried to force or command people to move to a more open and fluid church with me, but I'd like to ask, politely, if anyone is with me. Then tie the red string around your right index fingers second knuckle (between the first and third).
The bowl should be infront of you, with you in the circle, the candle between the bowl and the blood moon, you MUST be facing the blood moon.

Ebola outbreak: Virus mutating, scientists warn
Scientists tracking the Ebola outbreak in Guinea say the virus has mutated.Researchers at the Institut Pasteur in France, which first identified the outbreak last March, are investigating whether it could have become more contagious.
More than 22,000 people have been infected with Ebola and 8,795 have died in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Scientists are starting to analyse hundreds of blood samples from Ebola patients in Guinea.
They are tracking how the virus is changing and trying to establish whether it's able to jump more easily from person to person
"We know the virus is changing quite a lot," said human geneticist Dr Anavaj Sakuntabhai.
"These people may be the people who can spread the virus better, but we still don't know that yet. A virus can change itself to less deadly, but more contagious and that's something we are afraid of."
But Professor Jonathan Ball, a virologist at the University of Nottingham, says it's still unclear whether more people are actually not showing symptoms in this outbreak compared with previous ones.
"We know asymptomatic infections occur… but whether we are seeing more of it in the current outbreak is difficult to ascertain," he said.
"It could simply be a numbers game, that the more infection there is out in the wider population, then obviously the more asymptomatic infections we are going to see."
Another common concern is that while the virus has more time and more "hosts" to develop in, Ebola could mutate and eventually become airborne.
There is no evidence to suggest that is happening, however. The virus is still only passed through direct contact with infected people's body fluids.

So /ebola/, I've been thinking about cannibalism recently. Pretty much the health detriments of it, eating any tissue containing prions, will give you Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (the human equivalent of Mad Cow Disease), primarily the brain and nerves. However could that be used to our advantage?

Ebola-Chan is the anti-humanity. Ebola-Chan represents pestilence, suffering and the end of human life.
Looking beyond this, Ebby in most of her incarnations is a cute little girl, just entering into adolescence and sexual maturity. This is fairly archetypal of popular moe characters. The character must be female, for obvious reasons. The character's age, however, is a bit more of a puzzle. This image quickly rose in popularity on the net, and the Ebola cult was changed drastically. They spoke praises to their new goddess, showering her with adoration.
