 No.26518

Pirunlinna shrine:

Location 61.381435, 23.832059

https://www.google.fi/maps/place/61°22'53.2"N+23°49'55.4"E

Finland, Lempäälä

Pictures: approaching the cave from the north. Climbing approach - not recommended, difficult route and more mosquitoes (due to nearby swamp and low winds).

The shrine itself is placed inside the cave, on a table-like surface in the back, protected from rain (hopefully).

Burning incense lets Molly-sama know you are a friend, and keeps her winged minions away, so bring a lighter with you. (I forgot to bring a disposable lighter with me when I founded the shrine and didn't want to leave my storm lighter there for visitors to use. Maybe I'll rectify it when I visit it the next time.)

The easier access to and from the shrine is via top of the hill. First picture leaving the cave, second and third pictures taken from top of the hill.

The top of the hill is easier to traverse and high elevation and more sparse vegetation (big pine trees) helps avoiding mosquitoes. Also has room for setting up a tent if needed.

From top of the hill there is two possible directions to exit. To southwest, the official route. Longer route but in better condition. Or to east (unofficial) (shorted but potentially muddy). Likewise places to park a car exist on Pirunlinnantie and Hirvenkuruntie (respectively).

Don't litter. The hill is a historic site and ruins of a castle from 400-800 AD.

Note: there may be a geocache somewhere in that cave. I'm not a geocacher so I didn't bother to search for the box.

Holy shit. This is rather impressive, Malarite. And such a beautiful place. Hopefully someday I'll be able to visit it.

Fuckin' A, OP. Nice job.

 No.26525

Excellent work, Spurdo. Once again the fine example of Finland makes me want to emigrate. The only obstacle that remains is your ridiculous language. Do I need to speak bunta in order to kill Russians there?

 No.26529

Nice OP. Too bad I can never go there.

Yes good goy

Tonight I visited the shrine to notice that the incense holder was tied into a loop, probably because it had fallen off… again. Not a bad idea since I've had to fix the shrine before, after windy days. (The cave isn't quite as protected from storms as I initially assumed.)

The backside of the picture frame has also become a visitors' log, I have noticed. I didn't notice that before even though I have visited it after the dates written.

Nice to see someone else is also taking care of the shrine. It warms my heart so much I might just start bleeding.

Ebola-chan is Love.

Ebola-chan is Death.

Damn, it's an Ebolite pilgrimage site now. Congrats, Malarite, you've made something wonderful.

That's an extremely nice looking shrine. Somebody should pay a visit

Truly this is love. Bring a blacklight next time to see if they left any donations!

 No.26854

Damm, I need to get to finland

>Hey Anon, why finland?

>Oh, just want to visit some death shrine in a cave in the forrest there

Pity I don't have the money for a vaccation. Next year I should..

OP, any decent hotels around there?

 No.26865

Damn, wish I had the money to go on a pilgrimage.

Thank you, based Finland!

Minor shrine updates. Also took the dimensions for the images in the picture frame. Going to swap them later due to mold growth on old ones. I'll coat the new ones with plastic.

Improvements: additional incense burner, disposable lighter and a slightly over-the-top lighter holder.

I think dragon (symbol of eternal change) and phoenix (symbol of eternal rebirth), are very fitting considering Ebola-chan's capability to change the world to her pleasing, and her seasonal, pandemic nature.

Any suggestions for the images I should use for the picture frame? Two portraits + one landscape. I'll reinstall the new pictures to the frame on Ebola-chan's birthday on August 4th.

Correction to previous message: two landscapes + one portrait.

Adding some random pictures:

two photos from the path to Pirunlinna (west approach) and one photo from top of the hill. Mind your step.

 No.27771

Is this lovely shrine still being maintained (weather permitting)?

 No.27787

>>27771

I haven't taken it down but some poor Ebola-American stole the "lighter holder". There's so much non-Ebolite traffic to the site.

Picture frame might still be there if no further Ebola-Americans have visited the cave.

How would one go about creating a suitable shrine if you don't mind me asking? Wouldn't want to make a heretical mistake after all.
