The cannabis making you lazy stereotype is related to Cannabis indica. Cannabis sativa on the other hand is the giggly, uplifting variant. Too bad it grows so tall it's not really suitable for indoor growing and also I think it's growth period wasn't suitable for cooler climates due to shortness of summer.

With legalization, I hope sativa starts to grow is portion among pot available, so that it's not almost exclusively indica. Sativa availability almost requires legalization because outdoor plantations are too easy to spot and destroy by the spoilsport governments… and not suitable for all regions, it needs to be transported to northern areas.
