After looking at the current strawpoll results, it can be inferred that the sport most widely chosen by anons is Soccer.
I'd give it a couple more days, to see if others are willing to join on the voting, but I think we should start some serious thinking about how many people are actually gonna care/show up.
I personally think that we should create another poll, this time to let anons select which boards they're willing to support. The following boards have been selected, with two extra options in the form of /rest/ and /gamergate/. More on that later:
>/a/
>/b/
>/bane/
>/baphomet/
>/co/
>/cow/
>/furry/
>/int/
>/k/
>/sp/
>/tech/
>/tg/
>/tv/
>/pol/
>/v/
>/rest/, which contains the following teams:
****
>/leftypol/
>/cuteboys/
>/fem/
>/pone/
>/cyber/
>/mu/
>/argentina/
>/fringe/
>/fit/
>/x/
>/gamergate/
>/suicide/
>/mental/
>/agdg/
>/anarcho/
>/ebola/
>/tulpa/
>/tex/
****
>/gamergate/
(this final one is just to see what kind of support people would give to the gg board exclusively, if it ends up being an enormous group, I'd say it deserves its own team, we'll choose on it as soon as we get enough results)
The idea behind this initial, second voting phase is to see if it's actually worth it to have a /rest/ team, as well as to see whether or not other major boards would be interested in the cup at all (in which case, we'll promote one or more of the teams residing in /rest/).
By the way, does strawpoll support multiple voting as well? Because I feel we need to give people more than a single choice for this one.
((also unrelated but we totally need to do that WWE thing as well))

Have the boards nominate a team here by posting a new thread. They can hash out the details within said thread. That way they're not shitting up there home board.

>>157how're we gonna call all of them?

Fuckin awesome, italybro.
I'm honestly thinking of making a poll where we ask if /gamergate/ should be its own team, that way we can get popular consensus on what is right. I suspect most who will say yes will be GGers, but hey if they want their own team let them have it.
No.160
For those of us who don't browse /sp/ and don't know the specifics of yuropball. What details would we need to hash out?
No.161
Also, I don't mean to advocate Facebook or anything, but its polls are something we could base these polls off of. They support multiple voting and new categories being created by voters. We should find a site that does the same, make polls with these systems for each board, and send links to the boards. That way they can easily decide on which boards are good and also decide on additional boards as well.

>>160We'll be basing our rules and stuff off of 4chan's. I believe the site is implyingrigged.info. Just tell them that our rules will be the exact same as 4chan's major cups and that they will change if the Cup ends up succeeding.
No.163
>>160>>162I'm a bit against using the exact same rules as the 4cc, mainly because having a single star player is kind of boring and they have a veeeeeeeeeeery lax way of checking whether or not players are balanced.
No.166
Holy shit guys, I just checked out the stats for the players on the >implyingrigged wiki…
Who the hell came up with these??? They make it so half your team is worthless and give you no strategy at all!
I think we gotta make the rules a tad bit more fun. We can't have interesting matches if there's no diversity among the teams.

anyhow, poll's here:
http://www.poll-maker.com/poll234270xB95D4766-9gonna drop a bunch of threads all around the boards, do you think I should contact the board owners as well?
No.173
>>172i would contact board owners so they have an idea of what's happening. that way they don't get assmad about us shitting up there board with off topic stuff. i would also try to use the same thread if it's still there.
No.175
>>173sorry, haven't done that yet
where exactly is the contact info for individual board owners?
No.177
>>175Some of them publicize contact info in a sticky, or note what IRC channels they frequent. Other than that you just have to make a thread and ask.
No.178
…. shouldn't /aneki/ technically be in /rest/ if you're going to go this route? Also, why's /anarcho/ on that list?
No.179
>>172So we're all supporting every team but /a/, right?

/cow/, /baphomet/ and /pol/ are my favorites!

don't fucking do it
No.187
>>180It is, I just forgot to add it, probs
>>185Ok, listen
/rest/ in the voting session is going to be different from /rest/ in practice
What we're going to do with voting session /rest/ is see how many people would support boards different from the main 15+gg. If the number of supporters is astounding (i.e. three times as big as the support for other boards), we'll have a second voting session, to see whose secondary boards have the biggest following. If one takes most of the votes, we're not in need of a /rest/ team.

you sure there's no other way?

Can't wait to see /baphomet/ play. I know who I'm rooting for.
No.219
based on the new poll looks like each team has a decent amount of support.
No.220
Glad to know /baphomet/'s on board. Just wait till you see who we have pitched against you.
No.230
/x/ and cuteboys need their own team we really should just take the current team roster for 4cc use it, and add some and maybe remove some less popular ones
No.284
/gamergate/ has shown overwhelming support for the cup, they should get there own team and not just included in rest.

/fit/ should be its own team.

When are teams going to be chosen for each board? I'm from /a/, and we've been having more fun with meta crossboard shit lately, so whenever it's time for us to select a team, we'll be ready.

Is there an /a/ staff currently operating? I wanna join them. Also what game are we using specifically?

Oh shit, nigga, what are you doing?
No.399
>>397There is no staff on any board, as much as people are keen on 2014 with the summer plans we will likely master 15 aest.
Make a thread on the board you want and then post the roster and contact info on a thread here.
