Also: it is generally better to have more even lighting and less shadows.

Choose your background well - it may be interesting, but not divert the attention from the object and the object should not blent into the background.
Play with the light, light is another key to make the product shine.
Geometry, colors, purpose - try to make use of it for the picture.

I'd pick a different background, the creases are pretty distracting.

Otherwise, it's a nice picture. Even shows some undesirables a customer would want to know about, like the glue in the handle showing.
