No kid got into the army because of halo because they knew it was fantasy, but I see that a lot of people from my gen (millennial) have been influenced by propaganda we were given as kids which in retrospective was engineered for that purpose and little else
Think captain planet: none of the enemies/bad guys are pro-nature (to represent some real bad environuts like the ALF) nor are any of the good-guys industrialists with a sustainability angle.
