Okay, so I'm watching that kinmoza anime after seeing it mentioned in the other thread. London looks so amazing in it, and i'm loving the artstyle.
I know what the problem is with our country though, it's the fucking rubbish and grime everywhere, when you go to other countries, everything is so clean, and things like pavements are lighter coloured, they're actually cleaned regularly. It's gotta be this, because when you think of somewhere nice in Britain, its some countryside in the middle of nowhere, or some posh as fuck village that you'd see on midsummer murders, where the councils can actually afford to pay litter pickers and shit to wash the roads and pavements.

I agree, plus all the ugly, cold and soulless road signs that are fucking everywhere. No other country I've seen has as many road signs as we do.
When I was playing that streetview game where it dumps you in a random country and you need to guess where you are and find an airport, it became immediately apparent how OTT the amount of road signs in the UK are.
And to add to this, awful looking street lamps, buildings, and bridges. Ugly fucking concrete bridges.

I'm off to bed. My mum comes back tomorrow, so it's the end of my home alone week.
It was mostly really nice, but I am getting a bit sick of being completely alone and talking to myself aloud. I hope she doesn't mind the rather large pile of laundry that I never ended up doing, but to be fair I've kept the rest of the house tidy, emptied the bin, done the dishwasher several times, and even restocked the bread and milk. Should be fine.

I haven't had to really clean or anything really, I just never made things dirty in the first place. Anything I used in the kitchen I put in the dishwasher then put back, and any crumbs/rubbish I made I put in the bin.
Besides my bedroom, I've only used the bathroom and kitchen, so it's been very easy to maintain.
When my sister still lived here however, it was a very different story. Jesus Christ the dirt and mess was horrendous. She'd cover every surface with her mountains of stuff, hair from her extensions would be everywhere, everything would be left out or pulled out, cupboard doors left open, tobacco all over the table, the bathroom would be a tip, toilet paper all over the floor, make-up covering all the surfaces, and much more.
Worst of all is that she would do all that within an hour of being here, and then she would fuck off to her boyfriend's house for the rest of the day leaving me to either clean up after her or live in her pigsty.

Wouldn't be surprised if they steal shit off the vans or click and collect, either. Maybe I should encourage the other early shift people to honk and flash highbeams at them to piss them off and stop them sleeping.
Moving my parking space means having to get hassled by customers wanting the best spaces when I get out of work, AND relinquishing my fresh claim on the snow-free space by the lamppost. Never much snow around, but the manhole covers prevent it sticking.

Nvidia cards are generally slightly more powerful than their AMD counterparts, and their software/drivers are bretty gud and updated regularly, but as a company they are complete cancer. Their shitty practices are often to the detriment of their competition, the developers using their hardware, and even their own customers see: 3.5GB VRAM on the GTX 970, gameworks controversy.
AMD as a company are a bit more consumer and developer friendly, but their hardware and particularly their software isn't quite as good as Nvidia's. That's not to say they're bad by any means however.
Disclaimer: haven't used an AMD card since 2013, but I would probably go AMD the next time I upgrade, assuming things haven't changed.

Lobbying for political change is a mugs game really. You're not going to change anything that way. I've tried lobbying my MP and local councillors before and they basically told me I'm on my own.
Building networks is the way to go. Start small. Like I say, your group doesnt have to be overtly political. Just a group of people who share the same values and meet regularly and a have restrictive membership policies like no women, no pakis, no lefties ect. Build a club. That way you can avoid political apathy because you wont be engaging in politics. Then when you get big enough, say 10 people, start another club and so on.
Here's some links you might find useful. They're Neo-reactionary but the advice is good for starting groups.

Not sure people would show up if I suddenly started demanding membership fees and fitness requirements, that would come later, once the club grows. Perhaps to the point of making a second chapter? I really liked the overall idea of the command structure. No elections, small enough groups to faciliate discussion, all with one leader who is elected by the club founder. Seems like an efficient way to organise should things start getting big.
Honestly, though, I'd be thrilled if I could just get one guy to be up for it. Actually feeling somewhat excited and optimistic now. I wanted to be a politician when I was younger but I've lost more and more faith in democracy, operating outside it should see some solid progress made.

It's a good article to get your creative juices flowing, so to speak. As for fees, it might be good to start charging once you start doing things together as a group, to cover costs and such. I don't foresee you doing much until you get big enough though, say over 5 people. Once they get used to it you can make it mandatory. Money raised will help you grow and do more.
Democracy is definitely not the way to go, its futile really as the last election showed. Try reading Democracy: The God that Failed by Hans-Hermann Hoppe. I'm not to sure about his anarcho-capitalism but his critique of democracy is brilliant. I think there's a copy on /pdfs/.
I'm actually excited for you now. I might have to get off my arse and do something too!

I don't think it is. I think your only likely to be gay if you want to play as a male and also want to go for the male romance routes, and that's about as far as "doing this in a game means you're gay" goes.

Democracy isn't all bad. It can work but only on a very small scale, like village scale, IMO. Universal suffrage is just socialism really and promotes the worst leaders.

So the base building in fallout seems like its actually really cool, although the only base I have atm has a tiny area around it, and only wonky as shit ground so I cant really place anything too big.
It's annoying as hell trying to place something or get through the menus when already inside a building though, as it thinks youre trying to interact with the building, they should have separated the buttons.
Game wise, everythings running perfectly for me, despite the fact that my rig isnt particularly brilliant, I'm running on medium and i dont seem to have any framerate issues, havent had to deal with any crazy large fights yet though, just up to the power armour stuff.
I'm unsure how I feel about the lack of skills and the new dialogue though. I'll need to get deeper into the game to decide.
No.28256

I'm a good six hours in and finding the new perk system incredibly frustrating. I have very little urge to put time into building my character, levelling up is boring because essentially all you get is a % increase in damage for a certain kind of weapon.
I haven't tried basebuilding yet, but as it stands the only thing I actually enjoy is the combat (when the AI works and the framerate doesn't tank).
I'd pay about £15 for this game, assuming they fixed the bugs. In it's current state, I wouldn't pay for it at all.
No.28257
>>28256
I definitely get that with the perk system, there's a few interesting ones, but a lot of them are just replacements for skills, and it seems really horrible, like you're wasting a perk.
I wouldn't argue it should be a £15 game though, I mean it seems like the maps going to be a decent size, and as long as the story is long enough, and theres a good number of vaults to explore on the map as sidequests.
I mean, that's saying that it would be priced the same as a £30-£40 game, not that I'd pay that amount. It just fits in with the other AAA releases, whether thats a good thing or not.

I'm the /farmfeel/ guy. It depends on what your soil is like. Pour a bunch of water into it and see how long it takes to drain. If it drains quickly you've got good soil for onions / garlic / leek / spring onions. Dig for a little bit in it, are there a lot of stone? if so root vegetables won't grow as you'd expect since they'll have to grow around the stones. You'll get bendy shaped carrots etc, still entirely edible mind. What do you want to grow?

looking at that soil you will absolutely 100% need some compost. It might be worth getting a compost bin as well, that way any weeds you pull up or even leftover vegetables and eggshells from any meals you have can go in there, it takes time but it yields free compost.
Looking at the space you have you'll want something with a high yield in a small space. Something like Potato would be ideal, the best part about growing Potato is that you don't even need to buy seeds / sets for them, if you ever buy Potato's from a supermarket or greengrocers then just leave them until they start to form sprouts / roots and go plant them. The trick to Potato's is to build a mound of earth to follow the plant up as it grows so you get a much higher yield. Just make sure not to water them too often, if you do you'll get a blighted crop. Once every 2 - 3 days will be fine unless it's very hot out then water them every day. Onions will also be good as they are a nice hardy plant that don't require much, if any maintenance beyond watering every day or two.
As for what resources I used it was mostly just the Royal Horticultural Society website https://www.rhs.org.uk/, plus my dad has some experience in gardening so he was able to tell me a lot. If you do start gardening then this time of year is when you want to dig the area over and add the compost in. And a tip for when it gets near planting season (typically March - May) is to make sure you have the allotment ready for growth weeks before you need it, that way any early weeds can be dug out and turned over so they die off in the soil. This will not work for Dandelions though if you get any of those you need to get rid of the entire root system or they will grow back. But you can eat the leaves at least.
