But it's multiracialism that's the problem. Cuckservative politicians and movements like PEGIDA would happily see Europeans bred out of existence as long as the xenos adopted our values (which is a fantasy anyway). To me, people like this are more dangerous than liberals, because at least with liberals you know what to expect. Groups like PEGIDA are bad because they absorb the energies of genuinely pissed off people and direct them towards more liberalism, just with an anti-Islamic flavour.
>>34415
Again with the false dichotomy. All I want to see is a movement or party that unapologetically and uncompromisingly stands up for the interests of the British people. UKIP have been good as far as the referendum goes, but being civic nationalists, they're just a slightly less subversive form of progressive that would see us become a minority in 60 years instead of 40.
Just because you don't tone down your message for the benefit of the media does not mean you have to be an "obnoxious minority" - though they will portray you as one, but they would have done that anyway.

No.34426
>>34425
Yeah that's definitely a better step than nothing. I'd maybe consider counting calories after a month or two of success. The only issue with cutting out "unhealthy" habits is that you don't know exactly how much you're eating, and while you're consuming less it could still potentially be over your metabolic rate meaning you'll continue to put on weight.
No.34427
>>34426
I'm trying to only eat when I'm hungry, but I'm not counting calories, so I could be fucking up. What's some good stuff to eat? I know protein's good, eggs and fish and things.
No.34428
>>34427
See this is a very common misconception among people dieting, that there are "good" and "bad" foods. Whether a food can be judged to be good or bad is based off it's micronutrients (vitamins and mineral) which while important for general health, don't actually impact weight loss. Your best bet is to have exactly three meals a day, and count the calories. If you stay under 2000 you WILL lose weight. You'll be able to weigh yourself in the morning (best time to weigh because you don't hold as much water weight) at the start of each month and see the weight coming off on the scales.
If you really want a generalised meal plan though
>two slices of toast with low calorie spread, approx. 300 cals
>sandwhich, obviously varies but something like 600 calories
>brown rice, broccoli, steamed chicken or fish. Usually 500-800 calories depending on portion size and if you use sauce or not.
That's about 1700 calories, so you could even eat slightly more and still not gain weight. I'd really recommend counting calories. Just take a day eating what you would normally eat and count it, if it's under 2000, great, you're on the right track. If it adds up to over 2000, you need to cut down.

I saw Solid Snake at a grocery store in Newport yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Don't look at me like that.”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “head come up, head come up, head come up" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen cans of Metal Gear Beer in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any bully infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Yeah, I dream that sometimes too. Of course you'd have to be a little proactive to find somewhere (no one is going to come to your door) and you'd probably have to cover your own travel expenses. It isn't a permanent thing but you'll get all your food and accommodation looked after, you'll see the world a bit and learn farming. You might even get a permanent job from it in the end.

>Some cancers are mysterious, in that doctors cannot determine where they originate and how they will spread. These cancers often are given the unwieldy name "unknown primary squamous cell carcinoma" (UPSCC).
>Now, researchers at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore have found that the human papillomavirus (HPV) is strongly associated with UPSCCs in the head and neck area and, more specifically, cancer of the oropharynx, the middle part of the throat that includes the tonsils and the base of the tongue.
>In the new study, Dr. Carole Fakhry, an associate professor of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, led a research team that examined 84 patients, mostly male, with UPSCC over the course of 9.5 years — the largest study of its kind at a single hospital. They found that more than 90 percent of the patients were HPV-positive, indicating that HPV was a probable cause of the cancer.
>The researchers also documented a steady rise in the number of UPSCC cases seen at Johns Hopkins Hospital: In the first four years of the study, there were 14 cases of UPSCC; in the next three years, there were 90 cases; and over the next 2.5 years, there were 297 cases. This increase mirrors the national trend of rising HPV infection rates among young people.

Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki. It's a Murukami book, so there's a lot of crazy dream shit going on, but its basically about a guy who had a group of friends through his childhood who was told not to speak to any them ever again while he was at university, and how he try and finds why/more about them 10 years later. It's got a mystery sort of feel to it.
Blood Meridian seems a bit too serious for my liking. I'm not a fan of heavy books, if you know what I mean.
No.34847
>>34846
Depends what you mean, I'm 150 pages in and it's not very hard to read or deep in terms of themes, but it is very violent if that's what you mean. It kind of glosses over much of the violence though, I think that's the point in a way, to show how normalised the savagery. Most of the descriptive work goes into describing the landscape. How is Murakami? Is that your first book of his? My local waterstones has a tonne of Murakami at the moment.
No.34848
>>34847
I've got no problem with violence, I'm the one reading the malazan books too and they can be pretty gruesome, bones snapping, starved hordes getting boiling oil poured on them, necromancy and all that. Thematically the idea of massacring native americans just sounds pretty heavy and those sort of things require me to take more breaks than usual, and I'm looking for shorter reads between my malazan books which are like 1000 pages each.
I really enjoy murakami, theres a lot of time spent with not much happening, stuff like simple conversations, cooking, talking about classical music, it's all very subdued.
He's not at the point yet, but I think he's going to become a big "meme" author soon, the fact that all his books are pretty weird (this is my third) means that sort of thing could come into the who redditor crowd and help it. Luckily, they're VERY japanese, and treat females the way japan does traditionally, and so the sexual relationships in the book tend to be a little bit rapey sometimes. I hope that's enough to keep it from exploding.

OK, following the advice of >>34780, I'm cutting and pasting this in the general.
All right lads, I'm a long time lurker and I have some stuff I want to share.
So I left the UK as a boy and have lived in New Zealand ever since. The thing is, I never felt at home here, I was always wanting to "go home". As an adult every time I read about all the shit happing there I get so mad. Added to that is a desire to help my family, especially my nan and my auntie.
So I've decided to save up as much as possible and move back. Any advice on how to re-integrate into British life? What shit should I be ready for when I arrive?
I want to move back to help look after my nan and also to do something towards making Britain Great again (to steal a phrase). But more than that, I feel a deep and abiding connection to, and love for Britain, in spite of all the problems there. I'd like tips on getting used to the way things are done over there, pounds vs. dollars where to shop, signing up at gp's and banks etc.
And yes, I know it's often cold and wet, I prefer colder weather actually it's one of the reasons I want to move back.

I really don't know how people can eat kebabs.
You see the giant chunk of meaat through the windows before the shop is open, fermenting on that pike all night. It looks like the jelly dog food you get when it slides out the tin and keeps its form.

The N64 used really short samples that were sequenced to generate music. The cartridges didn't have enough memory to hold real audio like CDs could, so it had to work more or less the same way the SNES did, but with more channels (instruments playing at once), PCM memory (length of samples), etc. Some PS1 games did the same thing, like FF7, Crash Bandicoot, and many others.
So it's synthesized, using samples of real instruments, synths, drum machines, anything really, and it's generated in real time while the game is playing.

Blame the source, vaporwave-fags almost always use 80s instrumentals as their source because they often have the "smooth and exotic" vibe.
Chav-tier music on the other hand is pretty much the opposite of that.

Again, your issue is with the circumstances surrounding the production of the music, specifically that it requires little or no talent to create, as well as the meme culture that surrounds it. I don't really like the latter aspect of it either; I listen to it non-ironically, so I probably wouldn't fit in with those guys, and I wouldn't really want to anyway because their memes are so unoriginal and boringly repetitive. But I still enjoy listening to it in the same way that I still like having a beard despite every insufferable hipster faggot having one, or in the same way I like bacon sandwiches despite them requiring no talent to make.

Music doesn't exist without it's production, I understand that people can like shitty or poorly made things, perhaps even ignore it's production entirely, and I understand in this case you very much like "vaporwave", but that doesn't change the fact that it's shit.
A film could be poorly directed and have actors that can't convey a single convincing emotion, and it would still be shit even if you liked it.
A game could be riddled with so many bugs and glitches that it barely functions and it's business model is entirely based on selling shitty DLC and microtransactions, and it would still be shit even if you liked it.
A book could be filled with plotholes, poor wording, depthless characters and have a bland storyline, and it would still be shit even if you liked it.
Now imagine in any of those mediums, that the creator simply took somebody else's finished work, and played it back at the wrong speed / made the player move slower / made the words more spaced out, retitled it, and then sold it under their own name without mentioning the original creator.
That's what vaporwave is, that's why it's shit, and that's why anyone that likes it, ironically or not, has shit taste.
