Meditating for a couple of minutes is a good idea whenever you notice irrational anger and stress brewing, and a conscious effort to react differently in those situations will change your results.

Taking trivial things personally can also mean there's an underlying insecurity or low self-esteem, causing your mind's defence mechanisms to go into overdrive when it really needn't. Reframing and self-acceptance will help here, for example, realising that you can't assume that you're infallible when it comes to interpreting other people's meanings and intentions, and that you don't need to rely on external factors like other people's opinions in order to boost your self-esteem or be accepted.

To be fair, I didn't like rock or metal at all, nor did I aspire to be in a band, I was more interested in making house music on my computer. I wanted to use real instruments to add some funkiness to my music, but I just couldn't play them well enough to do what I wanted. A couple of lads were being cunts to the WoW lad for no reason and I wanted to clear things up for him so he didn't feel disheartened or picked on. I don't think pretending to be someone else just to put someone down is good form, it wasn't done in a humorous way or in good fun, it was piss poor troll behaviour like I'd expect from somewhere like halfchan or /b/. I didn't post screenshots of post histories or really single anyone out like shitty mods generally do, all I did was a quick review of the situation and relay some bare-bones non-identifiable information to confirm to the WoW lad that the 3rd anon that replied to him was most likely being serious, and the first two were most likely not. I don't consider this to be anything close to "abusing mod powers", if anything I was making good use of them in an appropriate situation.

On the shitposter watch part, I do keep an eye on things and check where the more egregious shitposts are coming from, which I consider to be a bare minimum mod "responsibility". I don't sit there mapping out who's who or building elaborate profiles, I just take a quick look at the list of posts from the IP in question to see if it's a regular or an outsider (and it's worth reiterating, when I say IP, I mean a unique hash that represents an IP; mods can't see real IP addresses). 9 times out of 10 I'm either looking at a single post from a fresh IP, or I'm met with a wall of "floopity"s, a million youtube links, asterisk roleplaying, "POO" posts, and other classics from his patented whibblescromp memeverse, with the very occasional reasonable and decent post buried in between. Frankly, if anyone wants to bully this lad, I will gladly turn a blind eye, or even join in the fun myself.

The line for what is and isn't okay for a mod or BO to do, as well as where the line for where anonymity begins and ends is certainly not a black and white issue, and you proposing a false dilemma like that won't suddenly make it true. You're barking up the wrong tree anyway, I'm a VPN user precisely because I value anonymity, and I've put my money where my mouth is. If you use a VPN, you get the added bonus of mods not being able to tell which posts are yours, as well as the ability to escape any potential bans with ease.

On that topic, I think that the greatest "threat" to our anonymity for the last couple of years (at least, between ourselves) has been the flags, because for as long as we're not all using the same flag, it's fairly trivial for anyone to figure out who's who after a bit of lurking, no mod status required. I also think it subconsciously stops us from even trying to "blend in" as it were, or at least that was my observation with my own posting habits once all my posts were very obviously seperated from everyone else's. It's not quite as bad as it used to be when there was only 1 or 2 of us, as there are more VPN users here than before, but it's still a problem. About 2 years ago I agreed with the lad who suggested that we should disable them, but nothing was done about it, not even a poll due to the wanker who always fucked our polls up being fresh in our minds.

Bought some Displayport cables with them too, so I can use those ports on my graphics cards, leaving the two HDMI's free for my TV and Vive. Also bought some USB upstream cables to take advantage of the build in USB ports.

Should be coming Wednesday, looking forward to those coming so I can set it all up. Going to have to find a use for my old monitors now, while they're okay in terms of quality, my main issue is they're not particularly adjustable which means they aren't good for my neck. It's pretty good, albeit a bit barebones in terms of missions at the moment, although I imagine that'll get fleshed out over time like GTA Online was.

Getting camped by random posses is less prevalent than I would have expected, as is getting attacked on sight.

There are a shitload of different challenges which give you xp, so you get rewarded for doing PvE type stuff like hunting and gathering plants.

They added a new battle royale game mode where the map shrinks over time until the last player is standing, I tried one round of it and it seems pretty fun, but it definitely does advantage people who are playing together rather than friendless peons like myself.

All in all, it's pretty fun just roaming around hunting animals and selling their pelts to the butcher, all while player posses are having huge shootouts in the towns.

Her moods are just too unpredictable. Most of the time things are good, but sometimes–and far too frequently for my liking–she can become very cold, distant and irritable for no apparent reason, and we've had one too many arguments over petty things because of it. You're probably thinking it's just her period, but it's more frequent than that. Now I'm aware that all women are probably like this to some degree but unfortunately she does it more than I can tolerate, so I've decided to cut my losses and end it.

No.70130

I'm not saying she's awful, but her tendency to do that is definitely a problem. She made the effort to fix it as soon as she calmed down and realised I was serious about ending it all. With her I get the highest highs but also the lowest lows. Is that unhealthy, or is that just what having a gf is like? She was my first so I don't have anyone to compare her to.

Complete opposite of my mum's biological dad, who was an abusive parent, has been to prison for beating people up with knuckledusters, has tattoos on his fingers, and only wrote his second wife(AKA "the goblin") and her kids into his will, leaving nothing for his 4 actual kids. He's still alive, but I've only met him a couple of times when I was a kid. I remember their house being filthy and neglected, stinking of cigarettes and bird shit, and containing about 50 bird cages in various rooms (and in the garden, which was otherwise filled with wild grass that hadn't been cut for many years) with all kinds of birds in them, causing an absolute racket. Since then I've only watched a fan-made restoration of the original Star Wars, and I thought it was a decent film, especially for it's day. I don't really get why the franchise developed such a nerdy and autistic following though, it's a very "normal" action adventure film if you look past the futuristic sci-fi setting, which is completely unnecessary to the plot for the most part. It could have been set in ancient or medieval times, and it wouldn't have been that different.
