british columbia leaves canada and joins cascadia with washington, oregon, and parts of california, alaska, and idaho

the only connection i feel that i have with canada east of the rockies are the people from there i meet who have moved here. i feel that canada, especially east of the prairies, is much too obsessed with 'muh cultural identity/history/ancestry' in a manner much like the europeans and other oldworlders. i cannot understand nor associate with it.

western canada and the western united states is too new for that. we have our own identity.
