Has nobody seriously mentioned ProFont? Easily the most /cyber/ font but the a and o are too easy to mix up. Gohufont is nice and simple. No flourishes or anything. If I'm moving away from bitmap I either go Anonymous Pro or Source Code Pro but when you have font smoothing everything looks decent so what's the point?

Monochrome text is the easiest way to digest information, no images no animations, no Web 2.0 distractions. Amber and green phosphors are easy on the eyes, particularly in dark conditions which is what everyone's meat space dwelling should be in

The human eye is most attuned for green, which is why NVGs typically use green hues instead of black and white monochrome. Blue is the only color that is bad for your eyes. There's nothing wrong with black, and it's a much better background than glaring white. If looking at a dark surface hurts your eyes or gives you a headache than it's psychosomatic.
