 No.30167

How the fuck can any drug be "cyber"? Seriously, this kind of shit is why I rarely bother visiting this board, despite loving cyberpunk and really liking this board when it first started up.

Unless you're shooting heroin laced with nanobots, there's no such thing as a "cyberpunk drug."

 No.30168

>>30167

People think low-life means constantly talking about drugs instead of just using them or having no problem with those who do

 No.30170

>>30167

Do you know nothing about nootropics? Using synthetic drugs to enhance your performance fits real well to the 'hi tech low life' concept. This can also apply to other drugs as well if it's in the context of the psyche of living in a dystopic environment. It's no different than those perception-warping aug hacks; instead it's just on a biological mechanism. In literature there is no clean mind. In reality… well… we have our problems. What I'm saying is it's not particularly about the drug, but the context.

I could see myself using some performance enhancing drugs but taking shit that make you numb and complacent is exactly what those in power want potentially problematic elements to do.

well some might be created by kiddies but i think most such threads are information gathering by agencies.

imho it's more cyber to take a look at the history of pharmaceutic corporations and not trust anything they produce.

good thread so far though.

Well. There are some pretty /cyber/ drugs. But they're not the kind you take for pleasure alone.

For example, apparently Vasopressin makes you hyper-alert and your memory sharp. Can't confirm that, dunno how anyone that doesn't work in a hospital would get it, don't know why anyone would really want it.

On the other hand, it's not what it is, it's how you take it. My drug is sugar. Normal sugar. And videogames.

>>30186

Vaping interests me.

Overall though, it's stupid to take a drug that'll leave you with less afterwards. There's cheaper ways to get kicks, too.

I take Naproxen and Escitalopram daily. Sometimes Codeine or Colonazepam in the evening when I need it.

 No.31216

>>31180

They're not analogs, they're brand names. Modafinil is amazing, too. If you're committed to streamrolling through hours of work, you'll do so with disturbing ease.

>How the fuck can any drug be "cyber"?

Research chemicals are untested drugs mostly made in chinese labs and sold on the internet labeled "not for consumption".

Some of these drugs are completely new, most get ripped off from scientific journals or patents.

Nootropics are made and sold in a similar way.

No need to declare drugs "non cyber" just because you don't like/know anything about them or the scene around them.

Nobody is forcing you to like everything related to cyberpunk.

Post brought to you by pentedrone

 No.31249

This. I use research chems on nights out and am currently planning a good nootropic stack while I smoke my electronic cigarette. Feels really cyberpunk to me.

>>31230

Agreed. This is just an excuse to talk about drugs on /cyber/. It is thinly veiled, and I accept it.

Drugs are the best.

 No.31267

While discussing drugs, especially stimulants with my coworkers, the topic of adderall came up. They were astonished that despite having a script that provides me with a huge surplus, I mostly just stockpile it and don't use it at anywhere near the rate the prescription dictates. So I shared the love a little bit. They're interested in buying regularly. I don't know how to feel about this.

The funny thing is that when I was younger, I was pretty staunchly anti-drug. When I got prescribed adderall though, I loved it. The side effects caught up with me, and after college, I stopped taking it nearly as much. And while I still don't like the thought of using pot (never tried it, the thought doesn't appeal to me) or harder stuff, now I'm ending up as a smalltime drug dealer. If that's not enough, they want me to buy modafinil so we can all try it, because that was what started the entire discussion.

 No.31804

>I still don't like the thought of using pot

anyone order from this place before?

 No.31826

>>31823

The site is very nice and professional looking. However it looks like a rip off. It should be about $0.60 us cents a pill not $2 I thought. However maybe this is because it is a scheduled substance in the US. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it is cheaper elsewhere.

 No.31827

>>31826

Schedule 4. Illegal to import true modafinil the way they are, but the analogues are fair game. I did a fair bit of research on them, and I felt comfortable ordering a sampler pack. They report that 4% of orders are stopped by customs, and they'll either refund you in full, or ship a new order.

If I can get it reliably at $2/pill, I'll take it. Depending on brand, some of their prices are cheaper. I don't want to bother with even sketchier sites, buying prepaid debit cards is expensive. I'll report back when my order comes in, should be about another week.

>>31823

I did last week.

>>31804

You're misconstruing it, stop implying that I take dex because I'm uncomfortable with pot. I take it because it makes me productive, and I enjoy it. I don't know a single pothead who does the stuff regularly and isn't incredibly stupid or simply irritating to be around.

I'm interested in trying adderall, or modafinil, and DMT, but my current living arrangement does not allow for it, and I'd prefer to have a doctor recommend it first.

Modafinil is much better than adderall bro. It give you nice clean godlike focus whereas adderall turns you into a jittery wreck and has a nasty crash and side effects. I've tried a few substances in almost every category (opiates are pretty homo) aside from hard stimulants up until last week.

MDMA, LSD, 2Cs. psilocybin, various RCs. mescaline, machine vaped DMT, etc.

I honestly have to say that out of all my recreational use and experimentation that classic crystal meth is the most cyber drug to me for utility reasons. I honestly never thought I would ever touch meth, but when it was finally in front of me (optically active high quality crystal clear rocks) I couldn't think of any good reason not to aside from being turned off by the wholly negative stigma attached to it.

I may not have consumed it in the most cyber way (chasing the dragon with propane), but the long lasting energy, vigor, and light euphoria coupled with slightly increased mental aptitude make this particular stimulant seem very appealing to hacking the planet and getting with the best instead of dying like the rest.

I'm willing to bet there are dozens of combinations of cheaper and less addictive substances you can ingest to nearly the same effect, however.

Too bad you can't just drink a fuck load of coffee and not feel like pure shit. You feel like a million bucks on meth and don't even look tired after staying awake for a little over 38 hours if you are fed and hydrated.

The novelty of most psychedelic experiences still feel cyber to me in their own unique ways still. Kind of like the feeling of exploring untouched territory or just the concept of exploration or being a wizard or some shit.

Modifinal: Used to fight lack of sleep, this keeps me competent after late nights. This isn't for everyday, only when I'm very tired.

Multivitamin: Keeps the meat alive.

Creatine: Good if you're a gym person and it also keeps your brain in order

Semax: This is a nootropic that not many people talk about. It also happens to be bloody amazing. It keeps your brain alert and also enhances your mood. It is sprayed nasaly.

Caffiene+L Theanine: Standard nootropic stuff, good for busts of concentration

Alcohol: Errday

I also vape, though not shown. Nicotine is pretty schway.

Ketamine to devoid self of sensory input, and then simply /cyber/ to fill in those blanks for me.

Disassociation when used wisely can immerse a person devoid of sense into a substituted mindset.

Your body CRAVES those sense and needs them to be filled. So introducing just singularly audio, video, touch, smell, or taste by itself will often satisfy a state of dissociation overwhelming so.

Ceretropic is pretty good. I got the precursor formula to this one, the non amidated one. I'm not sure exactly how is different though. Semax degrades at room temperature so it's worth getting now that it's cold in the northern hemisphere. They ship it with a cold pack but it doesn't last long.

Wouldn't taking psychedelic drugs - or what ever the ones are called which make you lose yourself in your own mind - very cyber as well?

Cybernetics refers to self-regulating systems.

Using drugs in a predictable manner is exploitation of a self-regulating system (your body) to gain desired results.

If you get hardcore into neuropharmacology, you start seeing the cyber part of it.
