Alright, since it was demanded, so it shall be done. This is a thread for people with Science Fiction themed characters to meet up, or to coordinate science fiction themed ERP. Aliens, robots, humans, nonhumans, all are welcome! Whether it's bonking in Zero-G, lewd experimental medicine, testing out a new model of pleasure droid, or getting a face full of alien wing-wang, this is the place to talk about it!
And now, a question: What is your favorite kind of scifi setting, ERP?
No.58063
>>58060
There is nothing good about aliens, they always feel too ordinary or too complex whenever I've tried to play with them. Robots however seem to work, either playing with them or as them. Domestic robots for commercial use being tested for the first time or some sort of military droids inner workings being tampered with or "hacked" to become more submissive. It's good the majority of the time.
No.58066
Well, sci-fi is my favorite, sooooo… I guess it'd be a shame not to post. I'll start with some characters.
https://www.f-list.net/c/evelyn%20a001/
Red-headed android who looks like a human at first glance. Her monotone voice and general actions will pretty much give away what she really is. Sweet, gentle, good for nice lovey RPs.
https://www.f-list.net/c/adanalia%20dragovic/
Orange hair, wild, evil I guess? The not-offically-but-offical-in-my-head sister of the above profile. Prototype android who achieved true sentience while techies were fucking around. Promptly escaped the lab by murdering everyone in her path.
Good for violent stuff. Also twisted love. But mostly violence.
https://www.f-list.net/c/natasha%20lidochka/
And finally, Natasha. She's not an android, but she's unemotive like one. Cold, battle hardened, and not very friendly. She's not a bad person, she's just slow to warm up to people.
I'd say she's good for story driven things. But really, that's what she was made for.
Now I can answer OP's question.
I flip-flop with my favorite sci-fi quite a bit. But I think I tend to like harder sci-fi than softer stuff. Star-Trek was always too unrealistic for me. Really, anything with sharp edges on ships, stuff that's big and bulky, I'll love it. It doesn't need to be realistic, but if it looks utilitarian, I'll take it. Cyberpunk is also much loved.
Anyway, feel free to contact me if my characters catch your eye. I've been a bit busy lately, so I might not be able to get anything too serious going. But that doesn't mean we can't talk at least!
No.58072
Sci-fi a #1, so much fun to be had with that.
Or in general, cyborgs and robots. Body control, detaching limbs and all that fun stuff is less weird when it's just a silly little cyborg with a few bad parts in her. A shame I can't find enough people to do those things with or in my timezone but such is life.

I’ve been meaning to put my scifi character back up for a while. I usually play in a starship troopers sort of setting, mainly with military themes, masses of patriotism, bigoted human supremacy, colonialism and sexy uniforms. Most of the really good roleplayers I’ve met have come through that set up…with the occasional ‘ooga booga I’m a big black aliem, git knocked up bitch!’ and ’I’m a bitchbreakerian from planet futa, KILL ALL MEN WORSHIP GIRL COCK defines our entire culture!’ Much as I love aliens in concept, the best longest running scenes I’ve had have almost always been humans…usually a stuck up earth born officer and a newly commissioned not for her leadership qualities ensign from a backwater colony.

I want to play a sci-fi game with a genderbent cyborg. He was desperate to join the crew of a spacecraft, maybe on the run from whoever he ripped off for his cyborg modifications, but the ship only had room for one crew member, and that was in the female dorms.
Luckily cyborgs are modular, so he had his dick locked in a drawer somewhere and got a synthetic female unit between his legs instead. Cyborgs can be hooked up to the ship's AI system, which ordered further modifications to suit the crew's expectations. If he's serving as cook, and the crew say they like being served by a leggy blonde with big tits, guess which components the ship provides next time he needs some adjustments by the ship's mechanic?
At night, she strips off her bodysuit, lets her biomechanical body deflate her breasts and erase the day's automatically produced makeup (courtesy of her new body) from her face, curls up on her bed unit, and tells herself it was worth it. In a way, it is: she escaped her homeworld, is getting to explore the galaxy, has more cybernetic enhancements than she had hoped to see in her lifetime, and is performing a vital role amongst the crew.
Critiques? She's meant for scenes with lewd experiments, robots, aliens, AI malfunctions and/or on-board intrigue.

in the earlier one, a character had been either kidnapped or lost their memory of selling themselves, and was given an almost full cyberware remodel to turn them into a total sexdoll, skillwires, activesofts et al and some hard coded activation phrases and she had to figure out how to operate around or within them
The other one was a slow, multisession conversion using bio, gene, and nanoware on a captured shadowrunner, turning her into a mindless cum-addict who became a slave to the custom genetic abomination the company owned- think living armor that uses a mage as a battery. Anyway the best part was that it would breed her while she was in the armor and pop out little living armor and magelings to be raised by the corp.
No.62176

I like the premise of the first. Slavery by coercion and desperation do more for me than just being captured. I like the sense of giving in and accepting it, rather than having it physically forced upon the character.
But living armor and breeding are great. What was the armor like?
No.62186
>>62176
I actually had a corporation entirely focused on buying people in bad situations and hooking them up with body controlling cyberware, somewhere between transhuman distopia and the robber barons who kept their workers shackled in poverty. It worked well.
The armor was this huge, mechanical structure bristling with armored compartments containing spell formulae in physical forms- basically it had a magic battery and enough specific spell foci that it was a robot mage. Or so it appeared. The inside was where the nest of wet and dripping tentacles were, I had a whole system worked up for it.

Dystopian capitalist forms of slavery, like the robber barons, are the hottest for me.
My preference for living armor is entirely organic, tentacles inside and carapace outside, if it's not soft all over like a skinsuit. It's unfortunate that organic living armor aren't as natural a fit in cyberpunk as they are in full-on sci-fi and fantasy.

I'll probably shoot you a friend request then, because why not? Don't mind sharing tips or experiences as well, since there's a whole lot of stuff you can do with a Krieger.
My own scheme though? Well, since there's still a lot of debate about what the vitae-womb is, I interpret it as being enhanced pregnancy instead of cloning. I combine this with the idea that Krieger's get their names from those who died before/during the civil war instead of having their own unique name (though I think it's fluff rather than canon). So 185094 means that he's the 185,094th Krieger to be named Anton Sable. The letter at the end is simply his initial to distinguish him from other 185094's (If they aren't dead already). I've definitely seen people do longer strings of numbers, or letter-number combos, but I wanted something that'd fit as a name.
If you need more inspiration though for general themes/ideas, I'd check out the 1d4chan article on Krieg, since there's some writefag stuff there that's pretty interesting.
