Blade & Soul (ERP talk & Interest Check)

So while the official release of this game is still months away, the first closed beta for this MMORPG will be happening next week, and I figured now would be a good time to see who's interested in this game around here.

For those that don't know: It's a Martial Arts themed MMORPG by NCSoft and Team Bloodlust. Uses the Unreal 3 Engine. Combat is more action-oriented than most traditional MMORPGs (Not quite like TERA's combat, but not like WoW, either. Core combat is more closer to Skyforge, but a lot more reactive and flashier) - There's also no holy trinity due to the lack of a dedicated healing class. While the concepts of DPS, Tanking and Support are still present, most players are responsible for covering their own hide in a fight.

But since this is /erp/, most of you probably won't care for that. So with that said, the game has one of the nicest character creation systems in any MMORPG in history, letting you create the waifu or husbando of your dreams (or nightmares if you're into that sort of thing). You can search some videos on the YouTubes if you wanna see how flexible the system is. It also has some pretty skimmy outfits and stuff, so ERP will be pretty rampant.

So with this thread, I kinda wanna see who will be playing next week and if anyone is looking for someone to play with.

Basically, it's how I worked the ambush mechanic into PvP Let's say a dark girl and a pure girl are in connected rooms and both move toward each other. Whoever rolls higher gets to choose which room the encounter happens in. (This is currently listed where the higher roll would cancel their move on the assumption it would put the winner on favorable ground, but having the winner pick might be a better idea) But that's not the detail you were asking bout.

If one player gets a 10, and the other rolls a 7. The first would get a bonus attack if they were pure and moving towards a monster, while the other gets a normal move. Assuming the player that rolled 10 is either corrupted or there are no monsters to hit, the bonus attack hits the player that rolled a 7.

If it was a 3 against a 7, the player that rolled 3 would get an ambush hit if they were a pure girl moving towards a monster. The other player in this case gets a normal move, and is thus in a higher "result tier," and gets a bonus attack i the place of a monster if none are present (or opposed)

A 10 against a 3 doesn't get a second bonus attack for being two "result tiers" up though.

Also, remember I've decided that priority should be equal to move order, so the flee battle command still needs an update. The roll results should focus on what's in the next room, as current room results only apply if they're declared first. (and maybe if they're from allies, so there's no waiting around hoping another player will use a heal.)

Probably just add two "Fail to escape" above a critical miss

I have a confession to make…

I ERP because I'm lonely. I lack the social skills needed to obtain and sustain a relationship with someone, and my only source for my hunger for affection is the textual comfort from another.

I wish I could quit this stupid shit and get on with my life, but as I am now, I am content and yet not with it at the same time. I have mental issues such as depression, and my confidence has been shot to hell for a majority of my life.

Does anybody else enjoy the idea of prostituting themselves for ERP?

I don't mean playing as a character who is a prostitute, but playing with people in return for some kind of payment - not real money, but MMO currency, or TF2 items, or suchlike.

Types of ERP?

Okay, so I'm just a little curious about something. All of us here enjoy doing ERP, but not all of us have the same preferences regarding what kind of character we like to use. Some people prefer to ERP with OCs that they've made themselves, some people prefer to use canon characters, and some people to use themselves (or a self insert) as their "character". Not making any value judgements on any of this, I'm curious what people tend to prefer out of those three and why.

I personally most enjoy playing as myself, usually. I most often play using OCs, but I most enjoy ERP where I can play as myself or as a fairly blatant self insert. It's a rare opportunity, but I think what I enjoy so much about it is how much more… personal it feels, really helping you to get into the ERP. It also makes certain kinks feel more intense, like degradation for example.

[The Community] OOC and planning thread.

At risk of becoming an overly ambitious "ideas-guy" who makes more than they can handle, I'd like to suggest something that came to mind and let it simmer while my availability goes to crap this week.

The idea is that people post up characters, and then hook up to play like in the orgy thread, but with a little more leaning towards worldbuilding and ongoing play sessions. Hooking up in the thread and then actually playing elsewhere would be fine, though I think most of us would appreciate the logs afterword. Why is /erp/ so strict about underage stuff? Literally every other fetish under the sun is fine but underage stuff is strictly forbidden. There are plenty of sites with written stories depicting minors but they aren't taken down.

I just want to do AR/AP rp with someone but can't find anything at all on the internet. The few forums I find are nearly dead or its just male. I don't have a problem with people being into homosexual stuff but its impossible for me to find any AR/AP let alone some girl stuff.

I've become so desperate I've considered offering to pay rp partners for their service. I had one excellent rp companion and we had great exchanges each month but she's gone now. I don't know where she went but real life takes precedence for people but it still sucks. Its always a heavy blow when you lose an rp partner who is extremely imaginative and talented AND into your obscure fetish.

I've tried stuff with one other person but he was really bad and non-compliant with things I wanted to do while I went with his desires or tried to until I lied about having to sign off.

If you are wondering, AR/AP is age regression and age progression. I enjoy other forms of TF too, like the person turning into animals (mammals) or anthros but is almost always an element of AR or AP.

Refinement and decision depending on roles

So, essentially, I don't know what to do to improve my writing. I just don't. I feel absolutely abhorrent every time I reread what I wrote when I'm in play with someone and sometimes go as far as to pretend that something came up or that I spent myself just to stop having to keep trying.

I think of myself as an average sub at best and, on the other side of the coin, an average dom as I enjoy both aspects. However, my harder enjoyments in both kinks and even just vocabulary is really starting to ruin anything remotely vanilla for me.

Yeah. Definitely a good point, but again: I'm an average dom. I'm an average sub. I pretty much grew to hate my writing.

Even if I find that rare partner that fulfils my fantasy of using the most obscene words and harshest treatment, my own response falls flat to my eyes and I can't help but feel like people say it's fine just out of courtesy.

Same when I'm in the power position. I just don't have the chops for it. Supposedly a few people really got hooked on how I play this Eliza character from Skullgirls, as she provides a greater outlet for my dominant tendencies, but even then it just feels like I ain't doing great.

I feel like I've begun to lack creativity, lack the 'filthy talk' vocabulary which is HUGE with me on both ends, lack writing potential, and started really shitting the bed with commas.

The Silver Valkyrie said as she approached a mansion on the outskirts of Connection City. The abandoned estate was full of monsters. The valkyrie considered it a chance for some of her students to practice on real targets. Little did she know that something more potent than she expected was lurking inside.

This is the recruiting and game thread or the new run of "Empress Calista's Tower" a lewdgame about magical girls fighting monsters, getting violated when they fail, and potentially becoming corrupt girls bent on dragging their former allies along to their fate.

For those loosely following, this run will use a simpler and more RP-focused d6 system adapted from Cthulu Dark.

The current plan is to have a two check-in system. First, there will be about a week for players to submit characters, which will be looked over. After that probably a shorter period for accepted characters to join the setting. Joining on the second pass is first-come first serve, with a cap of eight players. Characters accepted but cut-off by deadline or player cap will have a chance to swap in if a player is idle for eight days.

PSO ERP Thread

It's getting to be around the time where I start itching to go back to one of my favorite childhood games, the original PSO! But this time I'd be interested in finding out if there are any lewdventurers who would love to revisit Ragol with me…

For those who are not familiar with PSO, it's an mmo released in the year 2000 on the Dreamcast, and then later on Xbox, Gamecube and PC. It's an RPG with character levels up to 200, can support up to 4 players to a room, is best played using a controller, and has incredibly simple dungeon crawling gameplay that begins to revolve around finding rare items at Hard difficulty (level 20) and higher. Every new character is assigned a colour based Section ID which completely changes the drop tables of just about every monster in the game, as well as what rare evolution's your MAG can attain (floaty buff pet).

The game features three classes: Hunter, Ranger and Force. Three races: Human, Newman (genetically engineered elves) and CAST (robuts). The amount of customization options in this old game leave something to be desired, but not many games give you the chance to RP in a sci-fi setting, let alone being able to play a subservient sophisticated sex bot primed for helping populate a planet, or an elven magic slinging space pimp who wears platform shoes.

While the game may be dated, its simple and relaxing gameplay still make it an enjoyable experience even today. Nothing goes hand in hand like long hard hunts and poundingly hot sex!

The server of choice I was considering was Ephinea. It has quite a few quality of life changes, while also sticking as close to the original experience as they could! They also have hardcore accounts for a more permanent alternative to character death, which could be fun if you instead enjoy the thrill and tension of risking life for rewards and lewds… (my personal favorite!)

When you're filling out the profile details such as sexual orientation and partner preference, do you write what fits for the character, or what fits for your preferences as a player?

I remember seeing a female profile whos orientation was set to "Unsure", but their partner preference was stated to be strictly female. People bitched at them for misleading them, but to me it seemed pretty obvious that their character was just supposed to be unsure of their sexuality while the player just wanted to do scenes with another female character.

The idea is partially inspired by a thread that was on the board months ago, in that each turn people can vote on how our slut will progress. The goal in this game is to train the target to be a slut according to a set of criteria. A client chooses an ordinary girl he likes the look of and you use electronic implants in her brain to guide her towards becoming the perfect slut for the client without the victim's knowledge. Normally, you'd have a certain number of turns to get the girl as close to the criteria as possible and then start again with a new girl, but for a trial run, I think we should just do it in more of a sandbox form and start proper once we have the game flow settled.

I will continue to detail what I have in mind in the following posts, but for now, I thought we could brainstorm a few ideas and vote on what our sandbox victim should look like. So, anons, what kind of slut would you like to see?

Rules for lewd

Hello friends! I just stumbled onto this fine board today and after browsing through the catalog I didn't find any thread talking about roleplaying systems built for lewds. So here I am to rectify this issue. I'm gonna try to get all the systems I know of out of the way, but bear with me on this. I'm not gonna bring up the obvious ones like Book of Erotic fantasy or FATAL (mostly because it's weapons grade crap), but instead I'll try to share some of the more obscure resources I've stumbled upon in my long standing quest to find more ways to jerk off to numbers.

First up is an entry level book known as BUCK (Book of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge). It's for D&D 3.5 and is generally held to be pretty okay. Next I'll share the excellent work of Fetysh, a very productive ERP'er and content producer. He's got a whole load of custom rules and classes for Pathfinder based on a modified version of the Pathfinder Vices ruleset. So, let's talk themes. What general details, or maybe even somewhat specific things do you like/want that don't themselves constitute a full "scene?"

Image required, so first I'll bring up stretching. I love the idea of a female body being pushed to it's limit, and setting that limit a bit outside of realism. Either from large insertions or a bit of cum-inflating.

What seemed like a typical monster infestation went very wrong when the first team of magical girls went silent. Since Ero-Empire's reboot died, I've been hankering for a mix of game play and ERP.

People were intimidated by Ero-Empire's seemingly complicated rules. (They're not so bad, just not laid out in the most friendly way.) And I was a bit underwhelmed the the slow pace. (Mostly due to lack of participation.)

So I decided to come up with a game that's less intimidating to join and doesn't encourage massive write-ups.

My idea is one where I will play the dark empress and DM, while the rest of you play as magical girls trying to get to the top of my tower. It will play like a board game, with players moving around rooms to clear a floor of monsters before the way to the next floor opens.

Burnout on the Horizon?

I'm starting to feel like actual involved play is too much of a hassle to bother with. A Whole New World

So I had an idea, an idea to make a thread dedicated to the mutual building of a fantasy world.

The opening post creates a very broad idea of the setting, then other people can add things to this world over time. Erotic stories and RP logs of events that took place within this world, or just general things that have happened. It doesn't all have to be sexual either, people can add all sorts of details in any way they like, just so long as they don't openly contradict previous posts.

The point of this thread is to get a little discussion going in advance, get a few pieces written out, some images as base ideas, etc. Like this one, for example. Then when there's a little go on, the main thread is made and has a little of the world already created with pieces to get people started.

The world is almost certainly going to end up being high fantasy, though some magitech here and there works too.

Character Inspiration Thread

So /erp/, lets share our sources of inspiration when it comes to making characters.

On F-List I play only straight/bi blues so of course I have my work cut out for me when it comes to making a character that people actually want to look twice at. I've had some mixed results of course but lately I've learned that doujins are a good source for me to draw from when it comes to making a character that people want to play with. Of course I'm not talking about the ones where it's just a average guy in an average or slightly less average situation, but the kinkier stuff. My newest character has been getting tons of attention lately which is pretty pleasing even if I have to wade through a lot of shit so I think I'll be sticking to reading doujins about a fetish I like and then creating characters based off of that from now on.

Is anyone else in a similar situation to me?

I want to get into ERP. Proper, serious roleplay with non sexual stuff attached. I've tried to start making characters, tried to even begin in RP games and pick off from there, but I always get too bored and lose attention.

It's probably an insult to call what I do ERP, it's more textfucking/cybersex with no background, character development or buildup. Just a little bit of flirting, lead up to the sex and playing around which is done for nothing but sexual satisfaction… Ending when both of us have been milked dry.

It's not very long, it's not very detailed and it's just used as a cheap way to wank instead of entertainment. I read these threads and see people talk about how they can do it for hours on end without rubbing one out and I just wonder how on earth you can actually do it.

What stance/view do all of you have on ERP revolving around minor aged characters or ones that are physically children? I'll be selecting writers in mid June. Up until then, you can edit your entry before final judgement.

Some other stuff:

You should write at least as well as what's already there. That's the bar.

You don't need a mastery of the tool, but you should know how to do the basic things it goes over to get a somewhat creative scene flow.

Just submit something that you think would fit in the game. It can be a new character or for an existing one.

Most fetishes are fine. Just don't be overbearing about them. I think a good way to write is generally to try and make it appealing even if someone doesn't have such a fetish. Being intentionally grotesque with descriptions is generally not good.

I'd prefer people that are varied with the sort of characters, kinks, and stories they can write. But if you're exceptional at the one thing you do like to right, well that could still work for me.

Oglaf sort of humor is great.

If you have other questions, go ahead, but the tutorial and this post should cover most of it.

In a mansion at the fringes of Connection City, a large number of monsters seem to be gathering. This is the “early access” run of Empress Calista's Tower, a lewd roleplaying game in tabletop-style. Create your magical girl, design her outfit, and guide her through the fortress as her clothes and then her purity are stripped away. Will the team be victorious? If you want to play, follow the character creation guide below and post your magical girl. (It need not be specifically a magical girl, so long as you follow the same rules as everyone else.)

Attendance:

I would like players to be active, I'd rather have you take a turn without writing than hold the game up by not showing up at all. I'm considering a maximum of three days since the last turn. If three days have passed and you haven't moved, your character takes no action and is left to whatever fate befalls them while standing still. A full week of inactivity will have you removed from the game at the next turn.

For players from the previous run: If you re-use your character, you have a choice between starting corrupt or starting in the lobby to meet the rescue party.

This is something of a test run, so the details may be scaled to balance out the results during play.
