Well I'm sorry to hear that.
The soccer tournament is known as the /icup/. Boards make their own soccer teams and submit them to face off against one another in an elimination style tournament. It's a community thing done for fun and bantz. The games take place in Pro Evolution Soccer 15 and are CPU vs. CPU so everything is left up to fate and who fields a better team. The games are streamed also on Hitbox.tv.

Here is a link to matches from the first edition that was held during the summer. /a/ won the first edition and this is the upcoming Winter edition I guess. There were 16 teams and it is now expanding for the upcoming one, new teams joining include /tg/, /his/, /fit/, and /b/ with several other boards working on teams as well such as /r9k/, /mu/, /cow/, /hebe/, and even /starwars/.
To field a team you need:
>A board logo
>A board anthem
>A 23 player roster, 11 of which are starters, 2 of those ranked gold, 2 ranked silver.
>A goal horn (you can have up to 3 specific goal horns for specific players).
>Custom kits (uniforms)
>A team formation
>A possible team rep to set up the player appearances, stats, and playercards for the export (If you don't have a rep you can talk to the tournament organizers for help on this).
