Maybe you can list some of your favourites and explain why its your favourites. Did everything worked that the files suggested for you? Do you only like the theme of the file or the voice? And so on.

I think that could help other aswell to try new files.

For now i find it a bit difficult to try new files because there are houndreds of files out but you simply dont know about how good they are and so a good opinion does help. :)

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to all this(A few months of trying to trance most nights), although I admittedly discovered Jackpot a few years ago and had tried it periodically(The catalyst!).

I think I need advice, or guidance or tips or something. After the longest time of being almost certain that hypnosis could never work on me because I have trouble diverting my attention away from the speaker (more so when there are instructions that are harder to follow, or take me out of relaxing, like being told to breathe in while in the middle of comfortably breathing out), but I think I finally did it tonight. I was listening to the file, about a third of the way in and just sorta drifted a bit, thinking about whatever, and suddenly it was over. I was confused and surprised, thought I had somehow accidentally bumped my laptop and skipped to the end. I don't think I just fell asleep, didn't really feel like it.

Anyways, I kept trying. It was sorta alright the next time, but I didn't phase out until near the end, then tried again and couldn't at all. It got harder to "unfocus" again and all I could think was that I was giving myself a headache because I couldn't relax properly, couldn't find a comfortable way to lie back anymore, etc, and it just got worse.

My question for the people who do this regularly, now that I'm convinced (or at least persuaded) that this isn't just a big hoax with a bunch of people trying to trick themselves into thinking they lost control, how do you do it? For my whole life I've always been thinking, about this and that, it almost never stops and drives me nuts sometimes, I just want to take a break and let someone else think for me for a while.

I need advice on stuff like how often you can do it, preparations, when to try it, etc because now I think this has the potential to be more than just a passing experiment every now and then.

So, new guy here. I've been trying assorted files from assorted hypnodommes for the last few months, but so far to no success. I've been trying it pretty much every night before bed without skipping one, and usually give each session at least three tries before moving on to another one.

Announcing: Tournament of the Hypnodommes

I've read a number of comments recently bemoaning the lack of "talent" these days, which led me to wonder whether that was indeed the case – and to ask: just who are the best hypnotists? To figure that out, I'm announcing the Tournament of the Hypnodommes.

The tournament will consist of three stages, starting with the Preliminary Stage (12/16-12/22), which has two parts:

Seeding: I settled on a list of 22 "legends", hypnotists who've been around a while, have a large library, and are generally popular. But rather than put these into groups using my personal preferences, I thought it would be better to take a vote. You'll be able to vote for as many or as few of them as you like. The four hypnodommes with the most votes will skip the group stage entirely and go straight to the knockout stage, while the rest will be placed into six groups (#5 in group A, #6 in group B, and so on).

Qualification: During this time you can also reply to this thread with the names of your favorite hypnodommes and I'll add their names randomly to the six groups.

Next is the Group Stage (12/23-1/3). There will be six groups of hypnodommes, and in each group you'll again be able to vote for as many or as few of them as you want. The top two vote-getters in each group will then advance to the knockout stage. I'm anticipating that this will be the most intense stage, with several "groups of death". Because of that (and the holidays), I'm allowing a little extra time for voting.

Last is the Knockout Stage (1/4-1/31). This is a 16-person single-elimination tournament. Because of the relative inactivity of the board, I'll allow one week for each round of voting, which means that the champion will be crowned after four weeks.

Of course everyone has their own taste, their own definition of "best". But my hope is that this tournament will draw attention to quality hypnodommes. Maybe you'll come across some new names you haven't heard before or old ones you've forgotten about.

Newbie tips

Okay so a while ago I tripped over a hypno site called esuccubus and got pretty interested in the idea of hypnosis and its erotic (and non erotic) applications. I've been listening on and off for a while now and It feels like nothing's "sticking". Other times I'll be listening and zone out and start thinking of other stuff, realize I'm still listening, and "tune back in" and try to finish it. Sometimes I just doze off and wake up annoyed that I fell asleep.

Is there a trick to it? Are some people just immune to the process? Any advice would be appreciated.

Being awoken from trance

Hey this is a bit odd but I was wondering if I am the only one who gets irrationally angry when they're abruptly or unexpectedly taken out of trance. I don't mean in the context of file or session but when I'm deep in trance and something outside interrupts it (i.e. someone showing up unexpectedly or more often in my case an animal I own needing something a howling like a banshee) I tend to get, for a brief period after awakening, very angry. Anyone else experience this or something similar like a strong emotional response to being awakened unexpectedly?
