Announcing /icup/ I (as in roman numberal one) logo contest
with the first 8chan cup coming up i'd like to announce a contest to create a logo for the cup. basically come up with a logo that can be used for the game. much like how the nfl has a different design for the superbowl number each year.

Each tournament the illustrations/working of the badge should change to reflect something. Perhaps the last cup winner?

I've been talking to the Commish about an idea for a format after this Cup actually and I may as well share the idea here, however it would only work if everyone is dedicated enough to do it and we'd need at least 2-4 reliable streamers to work throughout the year in order for the idea to succeed.
Basically it would be akin to Champions League mixed with that of a North American sports league playoff system. Assuming we expand /icup/ to 32 teams, we would do a round robin style regular season where two groups of teams play intergroup matches of maybe around 16 games over 9 months, 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss, and the top 8 point getter from each group advance to the playoffs which would be held in one of the 3 months of Summer and styled like Champions League where there's 2 games per round and the winner advances on aggregate.
Regular season games in order to lessen the load (as with 32 teams would total over 500 matches in 9 months, although this would be less then hosting 3 halfchan cups worth of games and would only need to stream 14-15 matches per weekend) would be 10 minutes long and Playoff Leg games would be 20 minutes long which is the length in the current rules for our coming Cup.
So essentially this would make /icup/ a year round event if we go with this style of format, however the possibility of viewer and streamer burnout exists so matches would have to be timed or we look for a different idea that satisfies what other anons want from the Cup.
