Learning Arabic

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته وسلام على المرسلين والحمد لله رب العالمين أما بعد

A couple of days ago someone mentioned starting a thread for learning Arabic, I thought it was a good idea so here it is. My thought is that we can share resources and ask each other questions about the language.

I'll start off with two great resources that'll take you quite far. They're aimed at someone who knows the Arabic script but not anything else. After these you should be at a level where you can start studying Arabic in Arabic.

1. Madinah series, which is used at the Islamic University in Madinah and very beginner friendly(as said above you just need to know the alphabet). It consists of three textbooks in Arabic, along with three in English explaining the grammar of each lesson, and an answer key. There's also a lot of complementary material in form of grammar summaries etc. Everything can be found for free(no copyright) at

2. Simplified Arabic by Arthur Upson. Another great book available free(copyright expired). It's layed out in terms of 200 chapters each accompinied by translation excercies with answer keys. Ideal for self studying. It can be found at https://archive.org/details/arabicsimplified00upsouoft

Welcome to the 8chan Masjid

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

This board is the 8chan Masjid and should be treated as such. It is a place for Muslims to gather and discuss Islam and not intended as a place where Muslims must defend themselves or their religion from outsiders. If you would not do it in a real mosque in the real world, then don't do it here.

Controversial topics of discussion are permitted, but deliberate trolling/baiting and personal attacks will not be tolerated. /pol/-like behavior can stay on /pol/.

For the purposes of this board, and until otherwise proven absolutely haram, tasteful non-lewd images of people, nature, and animals will be allowed.

We are not for the comparison of the various world's religions. There are many, many other boards for that. Use them.

19 year cycle in the Quran

I think 74:30 over it are 19

the number of angels, should convince the people, 74:32 by the moon, the night as it departs, the morning as it shines this is the greatest

> total mention of the word yawm (without any suffix their day, your day, that day)

365 times

> the day (al-yawm), day (yawm), day (with extra aleph)

> gematria: 87, 56 (most common), 57

365 mentions total of day:

22781 gematria : prime factor.

19 x 1199 = 19 x 11 x 109

> 19 x 11

> metonic cycle

the moon and the sun, and the earth (the rotation of the day, from night to day) the time is synchronised, i.e. the number of complete turns of the moon, 254 lunar sidereal months equals 19 years.

> over 19 years, 209 days are added =19 x 11

to the calendar of the lunar, calendar, to synchronise the time between the sun and the moon calendar.

> islamic way

they let the calendar, synchronise over 33 years, lagging 11 days behind, every year.

> opposed to the jewish, 19 year metonic cycle

take the 354'th mention of the word day, the total gematria up to that point is 22103

> take ratio of 22781/ 22103 = 1.0306

that is the exact same ratio of the, lunar year, and solar year

> Quran says a year is based on 12 months

365.2425 (geogian year)/ 12 x 29.5306 days (lunar month) = 1.0306

> Chapter 103 The Time (maybe referring to 1.03 ratio with 309 years / 300 years = 18:25

309 lunar = 300 solar approximately)

ASR gematria = 360 arabic

22781 = 19 x 1199

1199 = 74:50 scared like donkeys

>i.e. people when they get this, they usually deny the sign, and ignore it saying it have nothing to do with it.

The 3 shadows, the three celestial bodies, synchronise in time after 19 years or 6939 days

Over it are 19: the number of angels gaurding hell fire.

Time in the jewish, reavealed by God to the Babylons, they adopted time, by each measure of 3, i.e. 3.33 seconds is 1 helek, their time. Their minute is 18 helek = 60 seconds

333'th mention of the word day (yawm)

Total gv count of 333'th mention of the word day = 19 x 1098

> the only verse in the Quran with 1098 value

40:54 A guide and a reminder for those of understanding.

3:190 in the alternation of night and day there are signs for men of knowledge

1098 helek = 18 x 61

1098 helek = 61 minutes, symbolising time

22781 - 22103 = 678

Only verse in the Quran with 678 gv value

56:78 In a protected book

Notice the 56 (yawm) and mapping of 678 onto 5_ 6:78

The three shadows

77:30 Three shadows of columns

Might refer to the time at which the jews and the christians (74:31 ) as excepted would deny this, or even not deny it, they will be gathered to the fire, of three shadows. Reminded of the sign of which they used to deny, when they see 19 angels above the 3 shadows.

1:1 to 77:30

6939 words

because time

6939 days = 19 years

Trini General

Allah, The Unmoved Mover

>And it will not be possible to be and not to be the same thing, except in virtue of an ambiguity, just as if one whom we call ‘man’, others were to call ‘not-man’; but the point in question is not this, whether the same thing can at the same time be and not be a man in name, but whether it can in fact. – Aristotle, Metaphysics

>Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

>1 Samuel 15:29 “And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.”

>Job 9:32 “For He is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, that we may go to court together.”

The concept of trinity disagrees with both the scripture of the Hebrews and the logic of the Greeks – the two very things Hellenist Jews wanted so desperately to combine when they contrived Christianity.

The laws of the excluded middle and contradiction do not undermine monotheism, they demand it. They undermine the trinity which is rank paganism. Logic can be seen as negative theology (what God isn’t) while revelation is positive theology (what God is). Monotheism can only be undermined when the imperfect reasoning abilities of men are placed above revelation – which is exactly what the trinity doctrine does.

Divinity can be seen as “irrational” in the sense that the human mind alone cannot be expected to properly quantify it, hence the need for revelation from above. If we accept the premise of unrevealed divinity and its “irrationality” then monotheism is less irrational a priori than polytheism. In this same manner Unitarianism is less irrational than Trinitarianism. Then if we accept the premise of revealed divinity along with the veracity of Abrahamic scripture we find that monotheism is more veracious a posteriori than polytheism; similarly Unitarianism is more veracious than Trinitarianism. Trinity is subrational whereas Tawhid is (supra)rational; Trinity is extra-scriptural whereas Tawhid is scriptural.

God is fully Beyond-Being because God is not limited in anyway like/by/or part of God’s creation. An understanding of God based on observing the createdness of being (God’s creation) would be by necessity induced rationally, however the Trinity is irrational. An understanding of God based on revealed scripture would be deduced from beyond being, yet Trinity theory is not revealed in scripture. While most though not all Christians accept the trinity theory axiomatically as a compelling paradox it is wholly artificial in the sense that neither scripture nor rationality can account for it; it is an equivocation. Catholics claim to be against continual revelation yet they endorse “internal locution” and believe the “holy spirit” has helped them do everything from write their own Bible to carry out the Second Vatican Council. They’ve signed the front and back of a theological blank check.

Trinitarian Christianity holds that the Godhead is the ideal form of and over the “Three Persons” that share the same essence. This theory opens the door for “all potentialities” which is how it is disproved by the Third Man Argument. We can observe the infinite regress of divine powers in the Catholic Church in ways such as Mary being called “The Mother of God”, calling Anne “The Grandmother of God”, the Immaculate Conception not only of Jesus but of Mary along with her perpetual virginity, the neverending litany of new Saints, doctrinal infalibility. Protestants do not deny Jesus is God, nor do they deny that Mary was the mother of Jesus yet they deny she is Mother of God. So Catholics can be said to operate logically from an illogical premise whereas Protestants operate illogically from the same illogical premise.

Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread:

Post all such questions here. I'll start with a few of my own.

As a non-Muslim (non-religious period) I wonder about the notion that God (Allah) "wants" things from us. "Wanting" to me feels like it implies a kind of inferior state, as though one was lacking something. Does Allah "want" things from mankind? To follow certain rules perhaps? Or is it not a matter of "wanting" but something else?

The Quran has beautiful verses and everyone hates the Talmud but incredibly the Talmud (Gemara) accidentally that proves Christianity is true, if Jews would only just think it through properly:

>says the whole Jewish nation is counting on the messiah to rescue and redeem them

>says messiah will only come once the disaster in the world becomes so devastating (earthquakes, plane crashes, major cities flooded, rain of fire) that every Jew finally realizes they have no one or nothing to count on in life, not even their money or America, except God alone

>messiah will only save them once the Jews realize that nothing can save them except God alone

Oh the irony.

Tips, advice

I've posted here on and off but I feel my exploration of Islam always comes to a halt. I'm a Catholic who has and is interested in learning about Islam but it just isn't "clicking" for me. I've read the first nine Surahs of the Qu'ran but my experience hasn't invoked any strong emotions or thoughts (I'm reading it in English). On top of that, it's very difficult for me to reconcile the Islamic view of things compared to Judeo-Christian sources/interpretations (Jesus not dying on the cross, role of the Messiah, etc.) and I haven't found compelling reason to assume trust in the Qu'ran over thousands of years of previous development. And (as I'm sure you are all aware) there are various Hadiths out there that narrate very peculiar and disturbing things that Muhammad did. Not all of these Hadiths are authentic but the shear number of said Hadiths is difficult to navigate and understand. What I'm hoping to get from the creation of this thread is tips, advice, testimony on how I should go about in my studies with my current view and where to go next. I wish you all the best.

Im a muslim kid but i have a few questions

So ive been thinking alot about islam recently and i have a few questions.

If god doesnt need to be worshipped why is he making us. Doesnt that seem a little arrogant considering a person who fails to worship correctly is doomed forever. And who asked to be created.

Can someone give me a hadeeth where the prophet tells us to pray how we do today because where did we get it from. How do we know to pray as we do.

Which parts of the sayings of Jesus contained in the gospels do Muslims consider apocryphal, and which parts are accepted as possibly being authentic? E.g. Are Muslim ethics inspired by the famous Sermon on the Mount?

I certainly assume that Muslims consider apocryphal what Jesus is said to have told the Samaritan woman: “You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.” (!!)

Can you be communist?

What's the Islamic argument against Communism?

I just talked to a brother who said communism works in theory and is compatible with Islam. I told him how Marx was atheist, lenin pushed militant atheism, stalin, mao and the rest of the big-name commies were anti-God, anti-religion, basically had no ethics. Also listed the atrocities they committed, but he denied the numbers or extent and said it was western propaganda.

In terms of ideology and society it doesn't seem to fit the sharia and normal economic transactions. What say you?

Assalmualaikum brothers. I was attempting to clear up some allegations pertaining to Jihad and the impermissiblity of oppressing or murdering innocent civilians, under any circumstances whatsoever according to Islamic law and jurisprudence. But unfortunately, some user decided to post a screenshot of an old thread, where his fellow Mushrik is deliberately attempting to push the assertion about Islam being a religion of intolerance and hatred, by referencing fatwas published by Islam QA, lightly touches upon history, quotes Sahih hadith, the classical Tafsirs (explanation of the Quran) , written by Ibn Kathir, Ibn Abbas and Ibn Jalalayn, respectively.

This has to be addressed immediately because after stumbling upon an increasing number of Zionist/evangelical or secular, Anti-Islamic missionaries who utilise these schoalry references, I end up feeling, confused, embarrassed and spiritually weak.

what your ideal Islamic state

Government> constitutional monarchy primogeniture inheritance. the monarch is head of the armed forces and has the power to propose laws to Parliament and to appoint and depose prime ministers. parliament is made of two houses one the lower based on geographical location the other made of trade guilds and workers unions. the Parliament will approve the collection of taxes and confirm noble titles granted by the king.

legal> the sharia is dived into two parts the first, called core sharia, consisting of direct legal pronouncements and those that have punishments and the moral sharia. ie someone can be stoned for zina but the government wont force u to wear hijab making it a marker of individual piety. this will be enshrined in the Constitution and no parliament make illegal what is in the core sharia but they can modify it(ie using stone bullets rather than actually stones, closed to the public and selected execution squads)

Military> mandatory conscription and military ethos drilled into the whole population. the country will be divided into sectors based on population and distance with a military centre based. here six days a month the men of the sector must gather and practice military stuff. women must train 3 times a month.

Education> based on the apprentice system but military training(think GUP)

thoughts criticisms welcome

Stance on other Religions: Tolerance or Conversion?

Hello! Let me begin by saying I am not of Islamic faith.

I was curious about your board and after reading through several threads I determined this community to be fairly open and welcoming. So I thought I would try and start a discussion that interests me.

I'd like to disclose some of my background in case anyone wants to know! I was not raised in a very religious family. On the rare occasions we went to Church, it was Christian. As an adolescent I would have identified as an Agnostic/Atheist. The myriad of faiths that existed made me question how one faith could be correct and all the rest wrong.

However, I was quite infatuated with religious literature. I started with the most prominent and moved on from there. This means that, yes, I have read an English version of the Quran! What I eventually found that suited me, however, was an eastern religion called Tao. It reflected beliefs I already had, so it was appealing.

BUT, I am not here to promote other faiths on your board. That would be extremely rude. So now I will get right down to the matter I want to discuss.

When someone of another faith discovers I am not of their flock, usually Christians, they sometimes try very hard to convert me. If it's just an invitation to join them at their Church I see it as friendly and non-offensive. When they flat-out tell me I'm a bad person and going to Hell, then I become irritated. For example, in Tao, the masters teach that we should not seek to spread our belief or convert people. If someone is meant to know Tao, they will find it their-self. We are taught to tolerate and be friendly/accepting to people of other faith.

From what I've personally read in the Quran, there are verses that promote both conversion and tolerance. So I wanted to pose the question to the flesh and blood of today and get your personal views.

Do you believe it is a religious or moral duty to convert those of other faiths or non-believers? Do you condone acceptance or even promote friendships with such people as long as they respect your own Faith?

Can ex-gays revert?

What does someone do if they've engaged in homosexual acts in the past but regret it and wish to convert?

I read somewhere that the temporal punishment or hadd is unnecessary if someone committed the act before reversion to the religion, but wanted to check here where people have more conservative/strict leanings. I've never committed full sodomy (not sure what the proper muslim terminology is for it) but what would happen to someone who has but wishes to repent/convert.

I also have a friend who's in a similar situation. Its less of a problem for me and more of a problem for them as I'm attracted to women and want a wife but my friend is still currently engaged in homosexual acts / is a trap, yet they also feel drawn to religion and don't know what do about it (specifically Islam too). He's into ideas of the radical traditionalists, like Rene Guenon and whatnot. Any advice for him and what he should do? Thanks.

Is Islam for me? Need a conversation with a Muslim

Hello. I am a 20 year old male living in Canada. I do not believe in god simply because my family has not bothered to teach me much despite them being (liberal) Muslims.

I am upset with the lack of direction & discipline and community in my life. I think religion is a solution.

Capitalism makes me feel worthless and angry. I was sympathetic to communism for a long time. But I no longer believe in it because of its anti-religious sentiment, its support of LGBT and other degeneracy and I'd prefer the "third way" of Islamic economics.

I do not like certain aspects of Islam: for example I have had pre-marital sex multiple times with my partner, a Catholic (non-practicing) woman. We were both virgins before meeting one another and we agreed to get married with each other since we met.

My questions are,

- What is the Islamic view on economics, and is it opposed to socialism?

- What should I do about my premarital sexual relationship? I think that it would be impossible to find another virgin partner here in the west. I am very lucky and fully intent to marry this woman.

- I do not like certain aspects of Islam, particularly polygymy, female circumcision, the taxing of non-Muslims etc. Is dissent okay? What should a Muslim do about his "anti-Islamic" feelings?

R: 7 / I: 1 / P: 3 [R] [G] [-]

Some questions

This is a real question.

I'm new to Islam and wanted to ask some questions, if that is ok. I like you world views, but what do you think about other religions? Do you hate them? Or do you just ignore them. And what about islamic terrorism. Do you also hate it, or do you even like it? And if groups like ISIS aren't muslim, what are they. Do they do it for politcal reasons? Or is it the US?

If I break the rules with this Thread, please delete it, because I don't want to disrespect you.

Sorry for the bad english.

Being a Muslim in the West

Hello, everyone. I'm an American who has been studying abroad these past few months, and recently I decided to convert to Islam. While I am excited to be starting down a serious and clean path to God, I cannot help but be concerned about what I'll have to deal with upon returning to my country. Although I don't plan to go around in a taqiyah and beard, the sensationalist media makes it seem like if you're a Muslim in the West, you're either going to get assaulted on the street or shot at the mosque, so I'd like to hear about the experiences of other western Muslims. Rationally I know that I don't need to fear for my life, but I can't help but worry that I'm going to find myself getting a lot better at fighting in the future.

Salam everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone knows good websites for islamic charity and zakat? The recent disasters that befell our Indonesian brothers and sisters made me want to help them. They had several deadly and destructive earthquake/tsunamis this year. Our responsibility as muslims is to help them as fast as possible since there is search and rescue teams looking for trapped victims. I know the website https://secure.irusa.org/ of islamic relief USA, but I'm wondering if there are other trusted websites some of you brothers use.

Surah Al-Munafiqun [63:10]

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

Potential Marriage spouse

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Dear brothers and sisters.

I am on purematrimony.com the only matrimonial site which does not show pictures by default and where there is a team to monitor messages as well as the option for wali to be present in the chat.

I live in the Netherlands and found a girl in India that had a great description:

>She only been practicing 1.5 years but she states to strive with improving herself and her deen.

> She states to have decided to take the steps to prevent degeneracy to enter the soul. She does not watch tv or music and is not fond of make up.

>She states loving to read quran and gain knowledge in her free time.

>She has a university bachelors but is willing to give it up her career and study Islamic Studies.

>Also states not to expect a lavish lifestyle but a home to live peacefully

>She is realistic and realises that sacrifices and patience are needed as she states "that are going to be times when things go rough in the relationship but with the help of Allah swt we shall both glue the cracks.

So I am very pleased initially by these descriptions.

Nasheed & Exercise

I want to start running again but since I have become a muslim i do not listen to music anymore.

Does anyone have any playlist or something on youtube of nasheeds (preferably in english) that would be good to run to? Jihadi (and Sunni) ones preferably, but anything that sounds good is ok.

I have found some good ones from IS in english that are almost like the (degenerate) angry rap i used to listen to when exercising (they get me pumped and energized).

But i need at least 30-40mins worth of audio for my run.

Topic of Bayah

>One who withdraws his band from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defence) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and one who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahillyya.

What did Muhammad mean by this? There is no 1 khalifah so I can't give bayah. What do I do?

Chess & Islam

Are chess and islam compatible? It takes a ton of practice and dedication to get good, is that idolatry? I have muslim friends who will not play me because the pieces include bishops and the king is often shown with a crucifix on his crown and other such silly reasons. I recently got back into the game and then read an article from 2016 and it made me wonder. Why is there tension? and why do europeans dominate this sport?

>When the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s grand mufti — Sheikh Abdelaziz Al-Sheikh — condemned chess recently as the “work of Satan” and a “waste of time and money,” it reignited a debate that has been part of the Islamic world for more than a millennium.

How do we fix this?

Salam, random questions

What does Islam say about the makeup and nature of God? Is he material? I think a material, eternal God structured out of eternal particles makes a lot of sense. I can imagine him existing in a substantial sense.

A God of 'spirit' or 'ether' seems empty and strange to me, how can he be said to exist if he lacks substantial physical form?

Also how does Islam explain God's interest in man, why would he intervene in earthly life or judge man? If the universe is a well tuned machine there shouldn't be any need to tinker with it or intervene.

What is there to judge and for what purpose, seems like man does what is in his nature to do, like how bees go about their business and so forth.

And lastly if religions/revelations were all originally "Islam", historically, why didn't God preserve them and guarantee their continuity, why did he repeatedly send new prophets to re-state and re-construct the religion?

And very lastly, is there room for reincarnation in Islam? Are there multiple levels of heaven or hell you can be "reborn" into and shift phases in, making progress, etc? Or are you stuck in 1 level post-mortem?

Jews, Uthman, Ali, and the fitnah

Came across this and it really piqued my interest,is it legit?:

… “ Among them was ‘Abdullah Ibn Saba’ [a Jew from Sanaa]” [Reported by al-Khallal, al-Lalika’i, and others].

Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said, “The first to innovate Rafd was a heretical hypocrite named ‘Abdullah Ibn Saba’. He wanted to thereby corrupt the religion of the Muslims, as was done by Paul, the author of the epistles that are with the Christians, thus innovating heresies into their religion. He [Paul] was a Jew, but hypocritically displayed himself as following the Christian religion, intending to corrupt it. Likewise, Ibn Saba’ was a Jew who intended the same. He sought to cause fitnah in order to alter the millah, but he was unable to do so. However, dissension and fitnah did occur between the believers, during which ‘Uthman (radiyallahu ‘anh) was killed. Then there occurred of fitnah what occurred” [Majmu’ al-Fatawa]. He (rahimahullah) also said, “Ibn Saba’ displayed acts of worship. He then displayed the enjoinment of good and forbiddance of evil, until he endeavored to sow discord with the fitnah of ‘Uthman and killed him. Then, when he came to al-Kufah, he displayed extremism concerning ‘Ali and claimed that this was commanded in the texts in order to thereby achieve his goals” [Minhaj as-Sunnah].Ibn Saba’ and his companions – “entered” into Islam in order to destroy the foundations of the religion and nullify its laws, thinking that if they if were to lead the Muslims astray from the magnanimous Hanifiyyah (tawhid), Allah would give victory to the Jews – Bani Isra’il – against their enemies from the Arabs – Bani Isma’il – as well as other nations. And when their failed strategy weakened, they ignited the fire of fitnah between the Muslims until Dhun-Nurayn was killed, and after him the father of the two Hassans (radiyallahu ‘anhum).

I need advice regarding my Duaa

Hello 8ch Islam I am a new poster here but I lurked around for sometime.

During exam season I was extremely stressed about my exams and I was very scared to preform badly. I made Duaa during Qiyam everyday so that Allah guides me during my study sessions. I did this because I am notorious for messing up on final exams, I can never do it when it counts. I might get A's in my midterms but I'll still get a D or C in my final. I barley made it into university due to me messing up on my school finals too. I don't have anxiety, I am perfectly calm and confident while taking tests, After I get the results I get depressed and I feel like killing myself. Every time I walk up to the roof to kill myself I get reminded by the pain I would feel in the afterlife if I did it and went to hell. I can't imagine the pain my parents would feel if their son killed himself out of now where and the fact that they know their son is going to hell for it. I personally don't care if I do bad(knowing that I studied and did my best) but I hate when my parents keep getting disappointed after giving me chance after chance to prove myself.

I'm not depressed(in general), I just get these insane moodswings when this happens, and the fact that it happens over and over just kills me inside. I keep up with my prayers to be honest its the only thing that keeps me sane. I find peace when I pray, especially Qiyam but I need advice on what im doing wrong. I make dua to be successful and to make sure theres baraka in what im doing but I keep screwing up in these crucial moments and I dont know what to do. What do you do when nothing works? I know that when Duaa doesnt get accepted I get rewards for it in the Afterlife but I dont want to see my parents sad and frustrated every time.

I would add more info but I dont know if this is too long for a post. I'll add more in the comments if it doesn't get removed.

Please give me Islamic advice, I dont want liberal nonsense telling me to go see a therapist or to find support groups. If the board admin finds this post inappropriate for this board you can remove it without telling me why. I dont mind.

Shi'a Poetry

O Allah, if my sins become abundant

Then indeed I know Your Forgiveness is greater than my sins

And I supplicated in humility

And if You turn my hands away

Then who will be merciful to me?

If the only people that can have hope in You are the good doers

Then who would the criminal, the sinner, and the evil turn to?

The only way I have to come to You is my hope in You

And Your beautiful forgiveness is that I am a Muslim.

Islamic Food/Medicine Practices

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from drinking while standing. Qatadah reported: "We asked him: 'What about eating?"' He said: "That is even worse, (or may be he said) more detestable."

“The Prophet (PBUH) never criticized any food (he was invited to) but he used to eat it if he liked the food, and leave it if he disliked it.”

“Nothing is worse than a person who fills his stomach. It should be enough for the son of Adam to have a few bites to satisfy his hunger. If he wishes more, it should be: One-third for his food, one-third for his liquids, and one-third for his breath.”

“Do not drink in one gulp like a camel, but in two or three (gulps). Mention the Name of Allah (i.e., say Bismillah) when you start drinking and praise Him (i.e., say Al-hamdu lillah) after you have finished (drinking).”

iv) Imam al-Sādiq (a): the Noble Prophet (s) used to lick his fingers after he ate.

[10]: It was also reported that he said, “I do not eat reclining.” [13]

qiblah compass/app

wouldn't something like this be cool?

i'll give an illustration to demonstrate and convey the concept and project i'm looking to complete.

let's say for example, every american in america wanted to know exactly which way they should orient themselves on a compass, based on their longitude and latitude, (or position in the country), to the Capitol Building.

i'm looking to accomplish giving every american willing to do so, the opportunity to do so.

this is of course hypothetical, and doesn't need to deal with the USA, but for analogy's sake I have used the USA for demonstrating this concept to brainstorm and hopefully get some input and discussion with others and maybe find a few solutions to this problem.

"problem?" you ask, begging to know why such a thing would be needed.

well, i'm not going to give that freely as I'm not able to. however it could be something with a wide variety of applications (ideally non-weaponisable), and so I am also hoping for any solution i can propose, if anyone kind enough could review them to poke holes in them and, if possible, suggest a fix.

now, let's get on. sorry i'm not well spoken. here is the diagram.

Red is our object of orientation. Blue is a hypothetical device likely necessary for accomplishing the task of – transmitting information of which direction the signal is coming from.

let's say, there's a tube of a trillion infrared lasers on a specific frequency .

then, ideally, an american (or the one using the direction finder, in the analogy it's a patriotic american) would simply use their smart phone camera, into the sky, and see something like this

[25:31], paul of tarsus, et al.

[25:31] translation:

Even so have We appointed unto /every prophet/ an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper.

— —– —

this leads me to believe that individuals like as-Sāmirī, Ibn Sayyad, and Paul of Tarsus are among these.

the word for opponent, "عَدُوًّا" – refer to [7:22] –

"إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ"

"Indeed Satan is to you a clear enemy", this verse uses the same word for enemy.

the part of "but Allah sufficeth for a guide" implies that the opponent or enemy of the prophet, whose goal is to convey the message, would be to corrupt/distort the message, kill the prophet, mislead the followers of that prophet into sects, etc.

i will now give further evidence into this thesis, although it is not my own

Even if they manage to destroy it how would they convince people to replace it with their temple instead of rebuilding Al Aqsa? The Sanhedrin is asking the Arabs to help do it somehow…

Can smoeone share some education on Muhaddath?

not those who have memorised hadith. as i understand this translates to "one spoken to"

i ask out of general persuit of knowledge, and because I was a nihilistic atheist for some time.

a chandelier of lights seemed to come down from the sky, and these chains blossomed with eyes and gave me a very intense sensation of "you are not alone, and your conclusion of atheism and nihilism is incorrect.", over a period of time I was guided by this entity, one of which was "do you not have a book of guidance? the answer is within this". being raised christian, I showed this being the bible, but the being almost recoiled and gave me the understanding that the bible was close, but it was not correct and I had to continue looking.

iridescence is the closest I could describe one of the forms it took. the entrance it took of dropping a curtain before my eyes of an intricate display, then an overwhelming sensation the company and presence as thousands of eyes gazed upon me.

i was in shock and this caused me to lose grip on my understanding of reality (as my experiences were contrary to the principles i held for my meaning/explanation of life and its purpose – i was directly told i was mistaken and to seek out the guidance and book of the creator). I spent months researching different religions and saved islam for last because of the stigma,

and every issue that drove me from theism to nihilism and atheism was resolved with the qur'an. I found the ultimate guidance I had been unknowingly missing and looking for my entire life. alhamdulillah I embraced islam, studied a bit of comparative religion and dawah, and now I am married.

i explained this phenomena to a couple of brothers. then at one khutbah, the imam recalled a story of someone (tabi'un or sahabah) reciting (maybe al-kursi) and he saw as though a chandelier of iridescent lights had came down during his recitation, and he was informed that these were malayika.

Allahu A'lam knows what my actual experience was. I am seeking more information on the Muhaddath, if anyone has any experiences, etc.

ex. are there multiple alive today, or just one? I have read some believe Al-Mahdi to be Muhaddath

Questions regarding the Kabaa.

Peace be upon you.

I'm doing a bit of research on the Kabaa (it's regarding the whole Saturn theory and black cube occultism) and so far all the websites I've read don't provide any sources for their claims (even the Wikipedia page on the Kiswa does not provide sources for most of their major claims) so I thought I might ask here. Here are my questions and I'd prefer if you gave sources for the answer if you will answer them:

1.) Was the Kaabaa originally a cube shape(Pre-Islamically)?

2.) If the Kaaba was changed to a cube due to certain circumstances is it true that one of Mohammad's desires was to rebuild it back to how it originally was (not a cube)?

3.) Is there evidence for the Kiswa needing to be black according to Mohammad?

4.) If not why was the Kiswa changed to black and do we know the exact date this choice was made and who made it?

5.) Is the current day Kabaa a perfect cube shape?

When i see a jew with a kippa i cant see him, like if he was the devil himself, but i clearly do not hate them, i have just a strange feeling

German Muslim Tax

>In the absence of a similar tax, mosques in Germany are reliant upon donations, raising concerns about possible financing by foreign organizations and governments, which has sometimes prompted questions about the promotion of fundamentalist ideologies. For example, there has been growing concern about the influence of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB), an arm of the Turkish government based in Germany.

Inshallah this goes through, it might bring in more money for mosques and will decouple them from the various states that like to meddle with the Islamic narrative. Although I am skeptical of the involvement of German government as I am with any government.

If I understand those ayats above correctly, someone who kills himself will go to jahannam but also those ayats below say Allah forgives anything but shirk for whom He wills.

Is suicide a type of shirk or can Allah forgive someone and send him to jahannam at the same time? Can Allah forgive someone who committed suicide because of his feelings that cause him to not to be able to think reasonably? I am not assuming anything about Allah, I'm just asking. Astaghfirullah.

I've been tired of life for a long time and don't want to live honestly. I'm not afraid of death nor I'm sad to a great extent about people I will leave behind. Alhamdulillah my parents can take care of themselves and I have no spouse, child or younger sibling. Needless to say I'm not justifying it, astaghfirullah. I'm only afraid of jahannam. I feel so much confusion and weakness.

Ashtiname of Muhammad

>This is a letter which was issued by Mohammed, Ibn Abdullah, the Messenger, the Prophet, the Faithful, who is sent to all the people as a trust on the part of God to all His creatures, that they may have no plea against God hereafter. Verily God is Omnipotent, the Wise. This letter is directed to the embracers of Islam, as a covenant given to the followers of Jesus the Nazarene in the East and West, the far and near, the Arabs and foreigners, the known and the unknown.

>This letter contains the oath given unto them, and he who disobeys that which is therein will be considered a disbeliever and a transgressor to that whereunto he is commanded. He will be regarded as one who has corrupted the oath of God, disbelieved His Testament, rejected His Authority, despised His Religion, and made himself deserving of His Curse, whether he is a Sultan or any other believer of Islam. Whenever Christian monks, devotees and pilgrims gather together, whether in a mountain or valley, or den, or frequented place, or plain, or church, or in houses of worship, verily we are [at the] back of them and shall protect them, and their properties and their morals, by Myself, by My Friends and by My Assistants, for they are of My Subjects and under My Protection.

>I shall exempt them from that which may disturb them; of the burdens which are paid by others as an oath of allegiance. They must not give anything of their income but that which pleases them—they must not be offended, or disturbed, or coerced or compelled. Their judges should not be changed or prevented from accomplishing their offices, nor the monks disturbed in exercising their religious order, or the people of seclusion be stopped from dwelling in their cells.

>No one is allowed to plunder these Christians, or destroy or spoil any of their churches, or houses of worship, or take any of the things contained within these houses and bring it to the houses of Islam. And he who takes away anything therefrom, will be one who has corrupted the oath of God, and, in truth, disobeyed His Messenger.

>Jizya should not be put upon their judges, monks, and those whose occupation is the worship of God; nor is any other thing to be taken from them, whether it be a fine, a tax or any unjust right. Verily I shall keep their compact, wherever they may be, in the sea or on the land, in the East or West, in the North or South, for they are under My Protection and the testament of My Safety, against all things which they abhor.

>As to those who possess properties, the wealthy and merchants, the poll-tax to be taken from them must not exceed twelve drachmas a head per year (i.e. about 200 modern day US dollars).

>They shall not be imposed upon by anyone to undertake a journey, or to be forced to go to wars or to carry arms; for the Muslims have to fight for them. Do no dispute or argue with them, but deal according to the verse recorded in the Quran, to wit: ‘Do not dispute or argue with the People of the Book but in that which is best’ [29:46]. Thus they will live favored and protected from everything which may offend them by the Callers to religion (Islam), wherever they may be and in any place they may dwell.

>Should any Christian woman be married to a Muslim, such marriage must not take place except after her consent, and she must not be prevented from going to her church for prayer. Their churches must be honored and they must not be withheld from building churches or repairing convents.

>They must not be forced to carry arms or stones; but the Muslims must protect them and defend them against others. It is positively incumbent upon every one of the follower of Islam not to contradict or disobey this oath until the Day of Resurrection and the end of the world.

Why do Muslims vote democratic?

Is it because democrats support immigration and seem supportive of minorities? There is a meme that "Islam will save the west" but I wonder if it is "The west will dilute Islam." I am not Muslim. This post is not meant to be antagonistic. I'm here to learn.

I think it's likely that Islam will become the dominant religion in the west. I'm not fighting against it. The west is the most descendant culture that's ever existed in the history of the world, and I'm glad to see that go.

My only concern is that I want the beautiful, great art of the Renaissance to be respected and preserved on its artistic merits. I don't care if a modern, low-quality church is turned into a mosque. It might be an improvement if the renovation is done well. I would want the same for the best examples of Muslim art if Christian cultures were overtaking Islamic countries.

It seems strange to me that Muslims support the pro-feminist, pro-transgender, pro-abortion, pro-hedonism of the democrats. In Minnesota, a Muslim woman was elected. Why would a Muslim *woman* run for office? This suggests Islam will be poisoned by the west. I've read about American men who travel abroad to find women who are more feminine than American ones, and that it is becoming more difficult as the world becomes more westernized. I've also read that if you plan to bring one of these women to America, she will likely become poisoned by the American culture by her new American friends, social media, entertainment, etc.

Can Islam defeat the decadence of the west, or will the decadence transform Islam into a new left-wing religion?

Israeli Moon-ument

As long as the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth exist, the memory of the Shoah will live on

Israeli engineers added the final element to the Beresheet (Genesis) spacecraft destined for the moon – a digital time capsule – saying they aim to land the craft early next year, somewhere between the landing sites of Apollo 15 and 17.

The lightweight, 1,322 pound probe will be launched by a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral. After a two-month journey, the spacecraft should land on the moon Feb. 13, 2019, to plant an Israeli flag and to collect scientific data.

If it is successful, Israel will be the fourth country to carry out a controlled “soft” landing of an unmanned vessel on the moon, after the USA, USSR and PRC.

The lunar probe's time capsule is reported to contain the true and honest history of the 70-year-old Jewish ethnostate, illustrated digital copies of Eli Wiesel's Night and Diary of Anne Frank, together with recordings of Jewish songs and culture and children's drawings.

How can Allah have attributes, without changing, if he was alone for eternity?

This is something I've wondered about a lot before, and I was wondering if there were any good resources for this. Certain attributes of Allah, such as merciful, loving, forgiving, etc. are active attributes that can't exist alone. Meaning that you can't be loving with nobody to love, you have to love someone else. So I'm wondering this: Allah existed alone for eternity before creating anything, so how can he be loving if he had nobody to love? Some people might say that he had foreknowledge of us or of the angels, and loved us based on that, but if he was only creating out of foreknowledge then where did that foreknowledge come from?

Basically, I don't understand how a single being alone in the universe can become loving with no other being to love, have any Islamic scholars or philosophers looked into this? Are there any resources you could give me on the nature of Allah?

Convert/Revert Stories

I made a similar thread some months back, but it was deleted in an 8ch hiccup where other threads were also randomly deleted. I thought that this may be a good time for the thread for the reverts to bond or for lurkers to see how relatable Islam is. :)

My story:

>be raised as Christian (specifically Catholic) in the most religious region of Europe

>family has been Catholic since the religion was first to the pagans here in the 10th century

>parents move family west for move opportunities

>be exposed to various different viewpoints and religions for the first time

>enter a period where I want to become a priest

>ironically start learning about Islamic theology in a World Religions class at a Catholic high school

>woa religion makes sense for the first time ever

>personally take the Shahada alone at 16

>4 years later take it with Muslim witnesses

and here I am a year later. :)

I reverted to Islam because it made sense in the ways that Christianity didn't. If not for Islam, I would probably be an atheist right now.

Just some general questions on Islam

Good evening, gentlemen.

I have been wondering a few things and I hope I can find some answers here.

I watched Khabib fight Conor McGregor the other night and it became abundantly clear that Muslims and Christians (real Christians, not the hijacked version the world knows today) are very much the same.

Khabib displayed a strength that I haven't witnessed in a long time. He put his family and his religion before the jew God, money.

Understand that Antisemite doesn't begin to describe me. I am a moral enemy of the jew. They have murdered more of my people than maleria has killed blacks. (maybe not, but damned close!) They poison what was at one time a strong, healthy and God-minded people with disgust and filth and usury.

What are Muslims views on the jew?

What do you guys think is the reason the jew continues to pour Muslims into Christian countries? I know you don't think they're doing it out of the good of their hearts. They don't have hearts.

I don't like that so many Muslims are pouring into England and Germany and Sweden and Denmark and.. and… and… but!

I understand why they would do it and I would to, if I were in their situation.

Do you feel that jews are your friends or do you guys hate them as much or nearly as much as I do?

I know Jesus was the first Antisemite. I'm not fooled by their deceit. I know who Jesus really was. I know he built his temple on a graveyard to keep the jews out and I know he had the coins stamped with Roman faces to keep them from touching them. I don't know how to teach this to Christians that worship material objects and money above the one true God.

Thank you and God bless you all! I appreciate your honest feedback.

pic is just some nice words the Talmud says about Jesus.

I advise you to never lose hope. It is easy to become apathetic and feel like your devotion is fading. Take small steps. Remind yourself where you came from and how terrible it was before. You do not want to end up as some bald pig. The social pressure to conform will be tremendous and indeed you will probably keep your religion hidden for fear of prejudice and malice. This is reasonable. However, do not trade your ethics for comfort. We have each other and that is enough. Take comfort when you read your Quran.

So, I started to study Islam in order to have a better understanding of what Muslims believe, and I was relatively surprised to find out that, apparently, the Muslim concept of God/Allah is quite different from the Christian concept of God, in that Allah is actually not ontologically Spirit, but corporeal; that is to say that, Allah has a physical body, with such body parts as a shin, hands, fingers, etc.

> ("The divine attributes are to be affirmed in a literal sense, not metaphorical")

> ("Affirmation that Allah has two feet")

He is also (and this I suppose is to be expected, considering his corporeal nature) not omnipresent, but occupies some point in space ("above the heavens"):

> ("Some misguided people deny that Allah is above heaven, and say, "He is neither above nor below; neither to the right nor to the left. He is everywhere!"")

I'm linking to islamqa because it seems to be a very conservative Islamic site run by Islamic scholars, but the same general information can be found in LOTS of places (I even saw Zakir Naik discuss this in a video).

I suppose my question is this: I have seen quite a few Muslims (who admittedly didn't look like they knew very much about their religion) say things which would seem to be absolutely contrary to all this and much more in line with the Christian concept of God as Spirit - and yet this idea of Allah having a physical body (though it is unlike the human body - yet it is still described in the same terms, e.g. having "feet," "hands," "face," "fingers," etc.) seems to be the OFFICIAL position of pretty much every single Islamic scholar that I could find.

Is this something that most Muslims just don't know about their religion? Is this aspect of Islam never touched upon in mosques/masjids? It would seem odd if this were the case, as the topic of God's/Allah's nature should rank right up there at the top, one would think.

OP here.

Why are muslims in Sweden and i guess most other European countries so unfriendly towards presumtive converts? They peole in the mosques here generally act like they don't want the outside world to even know they exist at all, and definitely don't want any ethnic Swedes or people of any other background to try and join them.

I can only laugh when i read crap about some think Muslims are supposedly "trying to take over the country and force everyone to convert to Islam", when if anything most Muslim immigrants seem to think Swedish and all other people are unworthy of becoming muslims. What should one do, how could one become Muslim in such an unfriendly enviroment?

Then the Nation of Islam hired the Black Mafia(who soon later went on to assassinate newly mainstream Sunni Malcolm X) to invade the head of their headquarters(Kareem Abdul Jabbar's property) in the middle of Washington DC

> Two adults and a child were shot to death, four other children were drowned whose ages ranged from nine days to ten years old. Two others were severely injured.

>Daud was killed first. He was taken to the third floor and shot. Abdu Nur was shot in a bedroom.[5] Bibi was forced to watch them drown two of the children in an upstairs bathtub and she was also taken to the basement where she was forced to watch them drown her nine day old granddaughter in a sink. Then Bibi was bound, gagged, and shot eight times.[5][2]

This was followed by

after which the entire group was imprisoned and faded into obscurity. The more I read about the Nation of Islam and this era of the civil rights as a whole, the more I sniff out the very successful hand of the CIA in turning what could have been the total islamification of the entire US negro population into the crack epidemic and the total degeneration of Black America

I'm interested in how you came to convert and if it was a gradual process with ups and downs, or was it a moment of insight that just transformed you? What were you before? What figures (outside the Quran) influenced your thinking?

How did you go from having a theoretical faith to actually declaring it, getting circumsized, going to masjid regularly and living halal in general?

Help finding a scholar/article

Salam. I read an article a few months ago regarding the permissibility of certain sexual acts in Islam. The article brought up the story of Lot offering up his daughters to the sodomites. They then included the opinion of a certain scholar/imam(unsure) who said something along the lines of this scholar arguing in favor of sodomy with the rationale of "Lot knew what they actually wanted".

I am not arguing that sodomy is okay, but the article had several other questions and answers for. I am moreso trying to find this specific scholar for more research. Thank you.

Converting to Islam

Salam aleikum.

I'm a guy in my mid-20's who have been suffering from depression and anxiety for a long time. It got so bad that it cost me my friendships, my family and nearly my life. The dark clouds have started to part and I feel like I'm ready to finally move on with my life, but I have to pretty much start from scratch and it's proving really difficult. I'm struggling to find any meaning at all and it feels hopeless trying to connect with people because everyone in my age have started settling down or have firmly stablished groups of friends already. I've been looking towards philosophy and religion trying to get new perspectives and trying to find a path forward - and Islam really caught my eye as something that could be worth pursuing. I feel like it's wrong on some level though since it's for such selfish reasons as wanting to get myself together.

Do you have any advice for me or how I should proceed? Is it okay for me to convert? If I do, what can I expect? If I end up converting I'm planning on immersing myself completely as there's nothing of value in my life as it is right now. I apologize for my poor writing skills and english by the way, I know they're crap.

Thank you.

Horny male looking for advice

Alright brothers, I need some advice.

I am 22 years old virgin male and as is the age, I am horny as hell. In the past I use to masturbate, but with the help of Allah, I have been able to overcome my addiction and don't masturbate as crazily as I did in the past and intend to drop the habit completely (I have practically made this intention already and don't have a "next date" for a session but addictions are unpredictable).

As a matter of fact, I HATE masturbating and I HATE porn with a passion. Not only because I know it is detrimental to person's mental and physical health, but the thought of it disgusts me now given how extreme it can get and how unnatural it is.

On the other hand, when I don't masturbate, I become horny as hell! Not only do I become horny as hell, but with the help of semen retention, I become practically an Alpha Male with high levels of confidence and end up eyeing girls left and right, making them smile just by checking them out, and flirting with a few. Alhamdoulillah though, I have not been blessed with game, and that has kept me from committing haram.

But the reason I have not been blessed with game is simply due to fact that I have always been a 'Nice Guy', and not that genuinely nice guy rather a manipulative one, expecting rewards for my good behaviour in return. Thankfully though, I have been killing off the nice guy in me, and being genuinely nice, and that has helped me tremendously in building great relationships, having self-respect and awesome confidence.

But now I am at a cross-roads again. So let's recap, I am 21 year old male that does not release his sexual desires via masturbation/porn because I hate both acts and they destroy who I truly am. Additionally, with the help of quitting porn and reading self-help books, I am building a great personality and starting to live for myself. I am at a all-time high religious these days, but because I want to truly live for myself (and for Allah, what I mean by that is, not being a good kid so I get people's praise as well), I want to get a girl. Either a wife or a girlfriend so I can release my desire in a more natural way.

What do? Any duaas specifically?

Recently converted from the Trinity

Hello friends of the book. I have been Christian for most of my life but have recently read the Qurán and I have seen the truth in it. I feel like have been asleep all of my life and have only now really woken up to the reality of the world.

Everything was lies, written in the bible to socially engineer society into western degeneracy by St Paul.

Which is sad because there is so much truth in the bible too.

It feels like the only religious people who oppose what the Qurán says are those who haven't actually read it.

Although I do have one question for you. What do you think really happened to Jesus? I cant get my head around the idea that he wasn't crucifed by the Jews when there is so much evidence to the contrary. Even if the Bible has become corrupted, (which it definetely has), But surely there would have had to have been a crucifixion for the religion to be started?

What do you think actually happened back in that day?

At least 235 people have been killed in a bomb and gun attack on a mosque in Egypt's northern Sinai Peninsula, according to state media.

The attack took place in al-Rawda village, west of El Arish, shortly after Friday prayers.

Egyptian state media MENA provided the death toll, citing an official security source. It also said that 120 people were wounded in the attack.

Consolidating religion with your personality

How do you merely exist as a Muslim? How can a person be secular? I quote Erdogan, “People cannot be secular. Only governments can be secular”. Is secularism a belief, or a behavior? Or is it, as some of you use it, an insult?

I took a quiz. I just googled “what religion do I believe in” or something.

Personally the first religion I was intrigued by was Hinduism, years ago, but only ever read a Wikipedia overview of it. I despise the constant moral ambiguity prevalent in judaism and especially atheism, and I view atheists to be the worst criminals. All the tyrant of the word were atheists. I also view Christianity to be extremely hateful of others, which you can see by how every ethnicity and local village has their own church with different beliefs that coincidentally say those people are superior or what not… but then Islam, which is us, is ultra literalist, and ultra coherent. It is by far the most logical religion. But is that an oxymoron for a not very religious person to be a Muslim?

Issue with certain ritual/cultural specific aspects of Islam

I like certain aspects of Islam, but I have some serious doubts about certain parts that seem to culturally specific

>why do Muslims have to perform wudu and use a miswak instead of taking a shower and using a toothbrush? I don’t see why it makes a difference as the spirit of the law is the same

>why do Muslims reverts take Arab names? Cassius Clay became Muhammad Ali, Michael “Charles Bronson” Peterson became Charles Ali Ahmed, Malcolm X became el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz, Cat Stevens became Yusuf Islam, etc. why can’t I keep my birth name?

>why do Muslims refer to God and his prophets by Arabic names? Ibrahim, Yusuf, Isa, Allah instead of Abraham, Joseph, Jesus and God?

>why do Muslims pray in Arabic? Can’t God, who knows all, understand any language we pray in? I speak English, why don’t I pray in English?

Like I say, I like certain aspects of Islam, but it seems too much like an Arabian national religion, with even non-Arab converts bring Araboos. I’m not confidant I would convert to Islam for the same reason I wouldn’t convert to Hinduism or Norse Paganism.

I don’t mean for this to be an attack, I just have these small issues as stumbling blocks

Islamic Japan

I was reading into my countries history (mainly the Meiji restoration) and found out that Japan nearly became Islamic.

Basically to combat the west pro Japan nationalists and muslims forged a close alliance and in 1906 the emperor was going to convert to islam.

I can't find anything on why it was abruptly stopped however, there's a few theories but there's little evidence to support them.

Theory one is that the British threatened that they would declare war on Japan if they did, I find this unlikely but Britain have had a bad history with us so it wouldn't surprise me.

Second theory is that the Rothschilds threatened to kill Japan economically if we did, which is more likely but I don't think they would've threatened and I don't think it'd stop the country from becoming islamic.

What would an islamic Japan even be like?

Steroids are Halal?

What is the scholarly ruling on steroids my friends?

I watched this talk by Feiz Muhammad but I don't find his arguments against them convincing.

Testosterone injections are bio-identical to our naturally produced testosterone, the advantage is we can control the level.

He says doing this is going against the creation of Allah, but such simple logic could be used to prohibit all sorts of things we do to our bodies or put in our bodies. Tylenol is more unnatural than testosterone, and is actually more deadly.

What's wrong with wanting to be stronger, muscular, faster, more motivated and energized, have a better libido and better quality of life? Testosterone is like the fountain of youth.

I am in ignorance and turmoil

Hey guys. I am going to share with you a little personal information about myself because I am concerned, any advice is welcome. I was sick of being treated like a bastard by my parents so I confronted my mother about her grievances about Islam. She has told me many times now she is an atheist and among other things “believes in science” , “believes in cremation”. I have no idea why she says these things.Even my father, who I believe is a money worshipping jew and puppet of the devil, saw how absurd her statement was. It seems that life imitates art or perhaps absurdity. What did she say? In our long conversation she literally said in her words “I do not believe in Islam. I beieve in cremation”. Verbatim. How can one call me a religious fanatic but say something so disgusting! If somebody ends up in the news after being burned to death by his parents, let it be known (as an insurance policy of sorts) that my name is Oliver. I take care not to be a narcissist and I will not get doxxed over my name alone because I do not invoke myself everywhere… but I felt it was necessary. It’s a garbage kuffar name unfortunately. I wonder if I suddenly died for any reason, would they cover up the fact I am a Muslim? This is not paranoia on my part but I just want to live more life as a Muslim. I want to complete Hajj and learn to pray properly. I learn more every day. So far I usually just perform wudu, put my forehead on the ground, and say something like Subhanallah 100 times. Yes I saw the jpeg in the sticky I will do it properly one of these days…

I only figured out to actually pray in the correct direction towards Makkah the other day. I am so desperate to have a life. I have lived my entire <20 years of life until this year as a kuffar. If I was not a believer I would cry, but I know that whatever should happen is best so I can not worry. I am only scared because I know my life has meant nothing. There will be nobody who has loved me. I told my parents I wanted to get married and have children and my mother’s first response was not joy or surprise but cold dismay and a question of how I would pay for this… I did not really understand and no reasoning would work. I am attending college and am on the honor roll and my parents have this 2 story house with many empty bedrooms. It is clear that I am not welcome in their home. I cannot let myself be defeated by their cold rejection though. If my ‘parents’ hate Islam and Muslims and will not wish to have grandchildren then fine! My children will not have kuffar grandparents! They will never need to suffer the sight of these two dogs from hell I know as ‘mother’ and ‘father’. Islam is the only family I have. I know there are young children who have no parents because theirs were murdered. I would be selfish and thankful if I could pretend that my own parents were good people but it is simply not true. There is one guy in particular that when I was casually browsing the Internet I thought he was so cool I had to learn more about him… I read all sorts of articles of his life and his brothers and his work with other Muslims. That amazing life along so many others that died alongside him and were martyred is what led me to know I must accept Islam as a fact because there is no other or more virtuous life. I am a runt and I will always be a runt. I do not have delusions about achieving what they have achieved. I obey all laws never broken any of them ever never will. I just know that this guy who inspired me to Islam (keep in mind I am not an idolater) has 2 or more kids apparently and they will never have a father. Can you imagine it. All that struggle and his kids will probably be persecuted by the Mossad or Putin when they grow up. It’s no secret that the west hates Islam. That is why I have always wanted to be a father. I have the good fortune to be in such a position to live a life free of dangerous duties and have the selfish ability to raise a family but I don’t have a family of my own until that moment I marry a Muslim woman but my ‘parents’ are unhappy this is my dream in life. I am like a pebble that is being crushed. Pic unrelated but obviously he’s another cool guy.

Did any of you guys have anxieties like this… top this current problem of mine with one you have overcame and let me know what you did. By the way… there is no way to reconcile with my parents. It is clear once I finish college I will never see them again.

How do I choose a mosque to go to and also overcome the fear of going there?

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

I reverted to Islam almost a year ago and I have been trying to learn as much as possible about the faith since then. I pray on my own and everything, but I need a community. I thought that I will be able to be alone until I graduate from university and live on my own, but I really feel the need to go to a mosque.

It looks like there are 3-4 mosques in my area, most of them are situated in little storefronts. There's one Islamic Center, but I don't want to go there because of personal reasons (some friends/acquaintances of the family I have go there and I don't want my family to know I'm a Muslim).

The problem is, as I have mentioned on this board in the past, that I suffer from extreme anxiety. I'm a male, for reference. I even suffer from this when I used to go to a church in a new area alone without my family (even though I was a lifelong Christian).

How do I choose a mosque? One of them looks to be for Turks, another for Southeast Asians and yet another is a mix of groups (I gathered this from the pics they have online). Also, what's the best way to go to there? Should I try to text message the imam and ask if I can come in? I don't just want to show up because I wouldn't know what to say. Also, I kind of feel silly going because it looks like I will be the only white guy there and it would be hard to fit in, if that makes sense. I really want to be able to have a mosque community, though.

It's a long post, but I just typed out everything that came to mind. :)

Islam's current situation in alt-media

Well, normally I don't care about /pol/tards but there is a huge amount of Muslims increasing in UK which means its something awesome, but they are sh*ting on it. We can't ignore it because those alt-twitter accounts will spread poltards' sh*ty opinions. There will be a "sh*t on Muslim" campaign. We can't stop it with posting replies of the truth on those threads because we will be ignored. We have to create our own thread, and anons in /Islam/ will support this thread. We have to show them the real Islam, we have to show them propagandas of Jewish media that used Isis etc. The real jihad is not with guns but with brains! This is what Islam says.

The first thing to do is creating our thread. Let's write together in this thread.

At every newspaper, at every "think tank", and at every news broadcast is a proclaimed middle east expert, foreign policy expert, analyst, oh the list goes on. They start them young too. Go to wikipedia and click the 'early life' and you shall see they come from jewish families more often than not. Or persian (no offense). Ugh. Imagine being so pathetic, imagine how these people LEARN Arabic, study in Islamic countries, usurp land, and tell Muslims how to live, and tell people what Islam is and is not supposed to be.

Does anyone on /islam/ own a misbaha? It's a type of bracelet or necklace used for keeping count during prayers. And I was thinking about making one. Islamic prayer and religious observance

Dear /islam/, السلام عليكم,

I'm coming from /christian/ with a matter that has been bugging me lately - prayer and religious observance in your religion.

>Note that I'm neither a "shaky Christian on the verge of converting to Islam" nor do I want to proselytize you (apparently this seems a noteworthy thing due to the latest occurrences).

Alright, back to the concern: As you might know, Christianity, especially the Apostolic branches of Catholicism and Eastern orthodoxy, are supposedly declining. Not as per numbers, but as per piety, observance of Divine Law/Church commandments etc.. People call it "modernism" or "apostasy" or whatever.

With regards to this, some members of the Church hierarchy (namely for example Cdls. Sarah and Arinze, i.e., African cardinals that have experience with muslim fellows) expressed that we as Catholics (Christians in general) could learn from muslims when it comes to religious observance (of course while condemning any form of violence sparking from potentially or purposefully misinterpreted verses of the Quran and all that - I'm not educated on that topic so I won't dive deeper into it).

So while I was thinking about that, it came to mind that you guys pray 5 times a day (that is: among the customs that I know of/have seen myself at one occasion or the other) - and I read about that. Now I've found that you in principle calculate the time spans for each of the prayers new for each day, because they need to correspond to sunrise and -set. Further does it seem that you guys (again, those that we would consider pious rather than the "hand-waving" sorta people) are way more strict and rigorous when it comes to things haram.

Also the "thing" (in lack of a better term) with the prayer positions (as seen in pic related) seem to be very strict in a sense that there is a need to go through them, right ? That is especially interesting as we Christians seem to keep it "BYOB" with regards to that (except sick or old people and also except in the Holy Mass): Some kneel, some stand, some fold hands, some interlace fingers, some do it just casually … and so on and so forth.

What I'd like to know, or rather what I'd like you to tell me - maybe as a starting point if you will, in case this develops into an actual discussion - is how you keep it with the general observance of religious imperatives, e.g.

- prayer times (incl. do you calculate the times/time spans, etc.)

- prayer stance and if you pray outside of these "5 major times", maybe with prayer ropes ?!

- observance of feasts and special time periods (for example Ramadan)

- observance of "general" laws (for example what to eat, what to drink, sexual stuff [please leave that out in case it's scandalous], etc.)

- … (and so on and so forth - depending on your time/willingness)

One important thing that often and repeatedly comes up is the fact that you guys are "horribly" (I don't mean that in a bad way) reverend with regards to God, other religious figures (prophets) and even among yourselves (well … apart form the "denomination infighting" I've heard of with shia and sunni and all that … but that's not what I'm aiming at, so don't mind me and don't bother going into this).

Now, I don't want to belittle anyone but who answers this I ask you to be something that could be described as "pious" muslim - not some kind of cultural guy (like we have among Christians) or gal that states things like "ah praying 5 times a day is not that important actually" (provided people like exist .. which I'm pretty sure they do).

With all that being said, I look forward to hear from you and remain with best regards,

/christian/ anon

God bless

Hello everyone. If someone could help I would appreciate it. I was an atheist white teenager in the United States. I supported evil and thought myself to be really smart and would drink alcohol. But over time I became more right wing, then I realized that wasn’t enough. Then I became a Christian, but I am loving Islam more and more. It makes more sense, it is absolute. The law of it is enthralling, it is not obscure or vague. The thing is I am afraid to convert as I live in the Midwest and I don’t know where any mosques even are and if they will be accepting. I’m not doing this to find a wife either but I want one and would a Muslim woman even want a guy like me? Because if I’m gonna do this I’m going all in and would only want to marry a female Muslim… so I guess what I am asking is will people accept me?? And general reversion story thread. I am sorry if this thread is annoying somehow.

Thoughts on Rene Guenon and traditionalism?

Guenon was a french Catholic who developed a philosophy of traditionalism (one tradition cannot contain the universal as this itself is beyond words but many traditions can express the universal). He thought Catholicism's traditionalism had become exhausted and moved to Egypt and became a Sufi, seeing as how Islam still preserved it's traditionalist nature. It's more complicated than that but there you go.

Austria to shut down 7 mosques, expel foreign-funded imams

Austria’s right-wing government plans to shut seven mosques and could expel dozens of imams in what it said was “just the beginning” of a push against radical Islam and foreign funding of religious groups that Turkey condemned as racist.

“Political Islam’s parallel societies and radicalizing tendencies have no place in our country,” said Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, who, in a previous job as minister in charge of integration, steered the Islam bill into law.

Standing next to him and two other cabinet members on Friday, far-right Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache told a news conference: “This is just the beginning.”

Austria, a country of 8.8 million people, has roughly 600,000 Muslim inhabitants, most of whom are Turkish or have families of Turkish origin.

I spent some time browsing this subreddit pretty intently yesterday afternoon and again this morning. Some observations:

1.) They're as far as I saw 100% atheist, I didn't see any theistic "ex-moose" as they call one another. I did see them mocking those kinds though, suggesting that they have a fringe existence. It's possible that these are just people "brought low" since the issue is simply iman, not adopting a new creed.

2.) Some are proud murtadeen, others are munafiqeen that are still pretending to be muslim to their families and communities. One even claimed to pray 2 rakats of tarawih then go to the pub and come back for witr.

3.) Pity party. One of their mods was asking r/atheism for "support" during ramadan.

>Having to wake up early in the morning before sunset (3-4 am) to eat before dawn leading to a significant disruption of the circadian rhythm

>The fast itself can lead to dehydration in the hot summer weather and involves hypoglycaemia,

>The evening breaking of fast (iftar) is normally a large meal, lavish if affordable and plays havoc with the digestive system

>The extra prayers at late night (Taraweeh) are extremely long (1-1.5 hours) and involve prolonged periods of standing. This time of the year these would be held at around 10pm leaving only 4-5 hours to sleep until the cycle repeats itself for the next fast.

4.) Weird hangers-on. Roughly 30% of the commentariat were "never moose", these are kuffar asliyin atheists that are fascinated with murtadeen. They trash christianity and the other 70% trash Islam, they swap stories etc.

5.) They're still attached to Islam and their ethnic groups, albeit in antisocial and unhealthy ways. Yes, a few active users have come back to Islam, hopefully more just stop logging in and return silently. R/exmuslim dwarfs r/exchristian, it is the largest "ex" subreddit. These people want their own atheist ummah. Of interest: there is literally no one active at r/exjudaism. If Islam came with a passport and cash there would probably be no active users at exmuslim either - keep that in mind.

6.) A murtad from Sunni Islam is of course the crown jewel for shaytan. I'll say slightly over half of r/exmuslim was raised Sunni. There is disproportionately outsized representation of those raised Ahmadi and Shia.

7.) Reasons for disbelieving: emotional, not rational. They like rap music and dislike being called terrorist. They like to swear and get drunk (both common discussion points) and dislike having to stand while they pray and fast. They support modern liberalism and dislike the Prophet saws for not being liberal enough. They like gays and having gay sex, they dislike rules about sex only within marriage and only with the opposite gender. One person said "Islam forbids adoption." even though that is a twisted falsehood. They are SJW on every possible issue except Islam where they go full /pol/tier - ie, they have absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

One of their head honchos is particularly jealous for Zayd ra and his marriage to Zaynab (raa). He thinks Zayd got the short end of the stick when the Prophet married Zaynab. The fact is The Prophet arranged their marriage and we don't know why they divorced after a year - the story of the doorway is spurious. Allah used their marriage and divorce to teach the community about obeying Allah, ignoring class background (Zaynab wealthy, Zayd humble), and then that adoptive fathers can marry their adopted son's exs. Zayd enjoyed six wives during his life, many were arranged on his behalf by the Prophet and he bore the Prophet no ill will, the concept never even crossed his mind, and died as a shaheed mujahid. But some foulmouthed snarky clown on reddit is pretending to be offended on his behalf, give me a break, Zayd would have literally killed him.

8.) They like to eat bacon and ham sandwiches, now that they embrace apostasy they like to take pictures of their bacon sandwiches and share them with eachother.

Asalamu'Alaikum brothers and sisters. I had this thought in my mind but I can't quite seem to put in the best words possible, but I'll try my best.

I'm 100% sure we've all heard the words "Islam is a religion of Peace" as a response to demonization of the religion by critics, but does Islam come any close to what modern society deems as a "peaceful religion"? Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing Islam in anyway, but I also dislike it when people try equivilating Islam to being some sort of knock off of Buddhism, and I abhorred Pascifism or any BS cuckery.

Non-Muslims have to pay their share. Muslims can live in harmony with the disbelievers if they incline to peace. It pisses me off when Muslims respond with military actions because the countless wars fought for Israel in the Mid-East, you got the pretentious blood-thirsty Zionist stooge going Like, "Ooooooh look at those moooselembs, soooo butthurt and barbaric! Not duh religion of peeeeace!"

Best example is the Palestinian oppression. They literally got their land taken from them, houses bombed, annexed, killed, and for God sakes Israel dropped White Phosphorous civilian populated areas. And when they fight back, the West simply blame the religion for their violent response rather than looking at it as a common sense. You attack me, expect it in return.

BTW You probably didn't know "Islam is a Religion of Peace" is a phrase first uttered by George W. Bush to paint a scenario where his sadistic crimes are against "terrorists" and not Muslims

Great March of Return casualties

>Israeli forces kill dozens of Palestinians in Gaza 'massacre'

<picture: A wounded Palestinian demonstrator is evacuated during a protest against the US embassy's move to Jerusalem ahead of the 70th anniversary of the Nakba at the Israel-Gaza border in the southern Gaza Strip.

Quote: Dozens of Palestinians were killed in Gaza and more than 2,000 wounded as the Israeli army fired live ammunition and tear gas at protesters assembled along the fence with Israel on Monday.

It was the highest Palestinian death toll in a single day since a series of demonstrations dubbed the Great March of Return began on March 30 - and since the 2014 Gaza war.

Of the hundreds of wounded, the Ministry of Health said at least 74 were children, 23 were women, and eight were journalists.

"On this day, the Israeli massacre continues against our people," Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on television from Ramallah.

Hundreds of protesters ventured to within several hundred metres of the barrier, while others moved even closer, rolling burning tyres and hurling stones. Israeli security forces fired volleys of tear gas and intense rounds of gunfire.

Since the protests began on March 30, Israeli forces have killed at least 86 Palestinians in the coastal enclave and wounded more than 9,400.

‘Islamic state’ in Belgium? ISLAM party president talks Sharia, sex segregation

Gender segregation on public transport protects “vulnerable” people, the president of the controversial ISLAM party told RT. The group has previously said it hopes to create a “100-percent Islamic state” in Belgium.

Abdelhay Bakkali Tahiri, president of the conservative Muslim party in Belgium, joined the RT France team via videolink. The party’s French acronym stands for “Integrity, Solidarity, Liberty, Authenticity, Morality.”

Established in 2012, the ISLAM party took Belgium by surprise in its first year, winning seats in the Anderlecht and Molenbeek municipalities of the Brussels Capital region. Molenbeek is notorious for being a “hotbed of extremism,” as a number of Islamists behind the Paris and Brussels attacks grew up and lived there.

What are your thoughts on this? What does their future look like? What's the possibility that similar political parties can be created in other western countries (e.g. US or UK)?

Saudi Arabia 'agrees with Vatican to build churches for Christians in the Muslim country'

Saudi Arabia has agreed a deal with the Vatican to build churches for Christian worshippers in the Arab country, it is claimed by Middle Eastern media.

If confirmed, the supposed agreement between Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran and Mohammed bin Abdel Karim Al-Issa of the Muslim World League would mark a historic first in Saudi history.

The cardinal has visited Saudi Arabia this year and met the royal family, urging the Muslim country to treat its citizens equally.

Under the alleged agreement the churches will be built alongside the establishment of a committee to improve relations between the two, Egypt Independent reports (http://www.egyptindependent.com/saudi-arabia-build-churches-christian-citizens/).

Saudi Arabia's anti-extremism Etidal centre hosted Cardinal Tauran last month as the crown prince pushes for inter-religious exchange in the ultra-conservative Sunni kingdom.

The Vatican has previously spoken of its wish to provide the Christian population of Saudi Arabia with the ability to worship.

Spiritual Crisis

I used to find myself to be at the very least a decent Muslim. I would pray 5 times a day, read the Qur'an every night in both Arabic and English, go to Friday prayers, attend Islamic youth studies, avoid major sins like Zina, eating Haram/non-zabiha meat, etc. The only major sins I knowingly committed were my addiction to masturbation and pornography, which I used as an excuse to contain myself from fornication.

I always prayed to Allah swt that I wanted to become a better Muslim and strengthen my imam, and I've taken steps into taking that path, especially recently. But I feel like my connection is getting weaker, and I'm scared because I don't wish to displease Allah swt. My passion in Islam has massively deteriorated in the past week and I've been suffering quite badly with a lot of inner turmoil, confusion and doubt.

I recently given up masturbation and pornography, something I wanted to do but subconsciously wanted to hold onto. It was my vice so getting off of them was hard and I'm not sure how I long I can maintain. I've only been at it for a week (I did nofap during one Ramadan for 11 days, but I felt that it actually pushed me to borderline commit zina). That has led me to extreme boredom and even mild depression.

What truly made matters worse was my discovery that drawing, something that I very much enjoy and am passionate about, is not only haram but a grave major sin. Listening to music, another thing I enjoy (although I prefer video game OSTs over mainstream music) is also Haram. At first, I thought these were just opinions from those super orthodx Muslim imams, but my own extensive research made me come to the conclusion that they're indeed right. I very much wanted to believe my own whims, but I was just denying the truth. I know Allah swt will always forgive me, but it absolutely destroyed my heart how many of the things that I love that I wasn't even aware were bad things are big sins.

I've been really depressed recently. I can't go back to those things anymore. I can't find a qt 3.14 wife who's pious but has a sexual appetite to fully satisfy my needs. I wanted to get closer to Allah swt, but I feel like it had the opposite effect.

I need help.

We hold the to the 5 pillars of Islam including praying five times a day and fasting during the month of Ramadan, we hold the Qur'an to be the literal and final and authoritative word of Allah (SWT), we consider Muhammad (PBUH) to be the last law-giving prophet and the greatest prophet, we hold to the 6 article of faith, etc.

The only real major thing setting us apart from the rest of Muslims is that we believe Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (PBUH) to be the long await Mahdi as well as the fulfillment of the second coming of Jesus (PBUH) in his place.

Quietism versus Activism

I personally feel that I am not entitled to have an opinion on things I don't understand which is why I lean toward quietism. I don't even read the news. I feel like it would be dishonest to take a strong stance on things I honestly know little to nothing about, but it seems like nowadays everyone is under pressure to have strong opinions on a variety of very complex issues. Are people obligated to participate in social and political struggles and debates? Is it irresponsible, maybe even cowardly, to sit on the sidelines and simply mind one's own business? I'm struggling with these questions and I don't know what their resolution is.

Help Me Defeat Anti-Natalism

Hello /islam/ I have a problem that I think only you could guys could stand a chance at helping me with.

First I want to say that I love and respect Islam the same way Adolf Hitler did. There are certain cultural practices that I don't approve of and I hate moderate Islam with its humanist egalitarian bent. However true Islam and its holy books I appreciate very much.

That said I don't identify as a muslim. If I have to identify myself I will say various different things at different times, usually pagan though. My identity is completely fluid really, it depends who I'm talking to. I know so much about the various religions that I can pass myself as whatever I want.

Now here is my problem. Every woman I ever meet is an anti-natalist and doesn't want to have children. They call themselves white nationalists, traditionalists, and whatever else but they ALWAYS never want to have any children. No matter what I try I can't convince them to even say "I might have children one day". No, they flat out want to sterilize themselves. There is something wrong with our women that they don't want to breed.

Now, I understand there will be those here offended that I want to breed within my own ethnic group. I'm Dutch and I only want to breed with Dutch. I might make exceptions for someone who comes from a neighboring country like Germany but that is it. Even other whites I won't breed with. Now with that aside…

What is the secret to making women become pro-natalist? What does /islam/ do right in this regard? How do I apply the Islamic wisdom in my life to convince a woman to not be barren and to actually have a ☻ing child?

If I have to convert to Islam I will do it. If I have to convert the women around me also to Islam I will do it (if I possibly can). I'm not sure what is more important to you Muslims, whether someone "converts" and says "I am a muslim" or whether they simply submit themselves to god, love god, and serve him. When it comes to Christians it seems their goal it to make people give lip service to the Church, the more people calling themselves Christians the better, doesn't seem to matter at all though to them if they are actually Christian. Me personally I would rather that people be holy and have the right ideas, regardless of outward appearances. Islam very obviously has the ideas at its core and if some kind of Islamic subversion of society happens where everything happens as by Sharia law but for propaganda purposes it calls itself anything but that would be fine. It would be like how we are literally ruled over by communists right now, who simply don't use the symbolism or the names of communism, so people who don't know any better don't freak out.

Please help me to make woman to have children. The birthrate where I am has collapsed completely. Even though the government is bribing people with huge amounts of money each month to have children, still, not a single white woman will do it. The cities are empty of children and the schools are literally shutting down or entirely populated by foreigners. There are classes where there is only one white child.

Please, save my people. Convert us to Islam if you want. We're dying out and our women refuse to breed. Many times now I have to burn bridges with women because they only want my wealth, or they want sex, or they want "love" but none of them are ever willing to have children. I am getting too old and many men like me are getting too old as well. Finding a woman of my ethnicity that actually wants to breed is like winning the lottery, it's practically impossible. All the women just think of having children in negative terms… "baby factory" and other such words they use. They hate the idea of being a mother. I don't know how to save them.

The Petpill Islamic Edition

The domestic cat is a revered animal in Islam.Admired for its cleanliness as well as for being loved by the Islamic prophet Muhammad, the cat is considered "the quintessential pet" by Muslims.

In Islamic tradition, cats are admired for their cleanliness. They are thought to be ritually clean, unlike dogs, and are thus allowed to enter homes and even mosques, including Masjid al-Haram. Food sampled by cats is considered halal and water from which cats have drunk is permitted for wudu.

Conclusion: if you have a dog as a pet, you are not a good Muslim and will go to hell

Can you brothers do Dua for me

I'm tired of being a virgin and I want a beautiful qt 3.14 Muslim wife so I can finally have a halal and frequent sexual release. It's just so hard. I'm not very attractive, outgoing and I'm in no position to even attract a woman into marrying me with the way things are economically. I can't afford to house myself, and if I were a woman, I would want my spouse to at least have his own house.

I don't even know how to court a woman that is Islamically approved. I don't want an arranged marriage from my parents because I want a girl chosen by me.

They say just fast as a way of relieve sexual frustration, but it doesn't always help and I don't wish to do that so frequently.

Sometimes, I just want to give up on women in general because of how western society, feminism and pop culture has ruined so many women and because of my fear of divorce. When I read the Qur'an and how it mentioned the houris in Jannah, it makes me even more apathetic towards women. That's to imply I'll be accepted in the first place.

That's why I'm seeking duas to ask Allah swt to please find me a Halal wife that is beautiful and fulfils my sexual needs so I can control my sexual urges from committing Zina.

What kinds of miracles can be attributed to Islamic saints?

I am a firm Christian, and for the most part that is thanks to the life of a Catholic saint named Padre Pio. Among other things, he bore the stigmata, gave sight to a woman without pupils, was able to read the sins of those who came to him for confession, spoke with Jesus himself (http://infallible-catholic.blogspot.com/2012/05/padre-pio-on-sins-of-mankind.html), and appearing after death to cure a man in my hometown of cancer (https://www.messengerofpadrepio.com/testimony). God did great works through this man, yet I know from a thread on another board that Muslims can at least exorcise through his power as well. So what other wonders has God worked through the followers of Muhammed?

And before you ask yes I am well aware this is a masjid (or equivalent, I'm not really sure how an online mosque works). I think we would all like this to be a thread where we glorify the works of God, not squabble without progress like in the trinity thread. Yet I am sure you would also agree it would be wrong to fear glorifying the works one already know of, especially if it explains why I want to make this thread in the first place and places it in a proper and more interesting context. Nonetheless, to say again, this is for the miracles worked through your saints, not mine.

Looking into Islam

I'm a citizen of a dominantly Catholic country. I was an atheist/agnostic for most of my life, but in these last years I moved towards religion. When I were in an Orthodox country, I converted to Orthodoxy, but after a year (a few weeks ago) I was moving closer to Catholicism, after many studies on theology, Church history etc. I never doubted Christianity was the true religion, if there was one, but in these last days I feel an inexplicable drive towards Islam.

Why do you believe that Islam is right above the other religions? What can convince a Christian to convert to the true faith (if that is)? Sunni or Shia, and why?

Thank you all in advance for your answers.

Robot wives?

Serious question: would marriage to a robot with an artificial womb be permissible?

Let's say we were in an age where artificial women were advanced enough to cook, clean, carry conversations and even birth children. How would the Islamic religion deal with this issue?

Sex dolls are forbidden due to them being an aid to sinful behavior. With robots there's perhaps the imitation of Allah SWT's creation, which according to the Hadith is a huge sin.

The Clash of Civilizations is Real

And I've Picked a Side

>White supremacy is one of the greatest evils of the world, and knowing its history will help us identify its manifestations in our communities, writes Cyrus McGoldrick.

>The fading Roman Empire needed a boost, and so it blended its paganism with a bastardised version of the monotheist and politically revolutionary message of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).

>The revelation of the Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) set the record straight, confirming what was brought before it and correcting what was misunderstood, and the Muslims – the followers of all the prophets – have been a threat to the elites of the “Christian” world ever since, not only because of our message, but also because of the preference many minorities in Europe had to live under Muslim authority rather than their Christian oppressors.

>White supremacy

>Islam’s faces to Europe were Arab, Berber and Turkish. Unity around white Christian identity was the solution – a compound asabiyyah (tribalism) to trump the ethnic and national asabiyyah of each state. White supremacy is Christian supremacy and vice versa (even if it takes on Jewish rhetoric in occupied Palestine), and for periods of time (apart from in-fighting) it could unite the European powers against external threats.

>However, once they could hold their borders by effectively colonising their locals, they expanded outward, colonising the world, waging genocides in Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

>The United State is the child of this, and the liberal ideas expressed in the founding constitution were for white men and no one else.

>‘Whiteness’ itself was a battleground – the Irish weren’t ‘white’ at first but sought acceptance, as did other passable immigrant groups. But most people didn’t have that option.

>I am not a liberal, nor am I a European supremacist – I am a Muslim, and what I want for my people in Iran, Ireland, America, and everywhere in the world is for them to read what their Creator sent down for them and act accordingly. To make America great would be to make America Muslim, and it is possible. As I sit in the city that was once called Constantinople, I promise you, God always wins.

>Changing America

>But I say this: Muslims should be careful with their narrative of America and their narrative for change. The Islamic method is dawah (invitation), aqd (contract), and jihad (struggle). There is no ‘small reform’ for the US – we need deep change, getting to the roots of injustice there, which are the massacre of native populations and the African slave trade.

>The rulers of this land are the same families that have been the leaders of the enemies of God and humanity for centuries, even if they allow one of our eager integrationists a seat at the table once in a while.

>If you’re thinking, “but you’re just reinforcing the ‘clash of civilisations’ theory,” you’re right, I am, and I’m picking a side. But the difference between “us” and “them” is this: the Muslims are supposed to serve people when we have authority and learn from others (this is Khilafah), whereas Western Christian civilisation is built on a destructive drive (this is dominionism).

>There are exceptions to both, and the leaders of the Muslims today are mostly secular colonial puppets, so I don’t point to them as examples, but broadly, my study of religion, history and the social sciences has taught me this.

>I don’t want to destroy America, I want to save it from destroying itself – but that will only come from Divine Guidance, not liberal nonsense and selling our religion for the acceptance of our enemies. America can’t be saved from white supremacy if America is white supremacy.

>So let’s do better. Let’s physically protect the people – this is required. And let’s build our communities based on Islam. Let’s give dawah. If we figure those out, I think we’re on the right track.

>For non-Muslims who are reading this: although this piece is addressed primarily to Muslims, I hope this also articulates how we understand the events of history and our role in the world, and makes clear my love for everyone except our oppressors. If you had a cure for a disease in me, I hope you would share it with me too.

>For Muslims who are reading this: if you didn’t get this already, I hope this makes it plain that white supremacy is very much a Muslim problem, and is part of the global struggle that we have waged from the very beginning.

>And God knows best, and may He forgive and correct anything wrong that I’ve said.

child circumcision ?

What should be the minimum age of circumcision? Since there is no compulsion in religion the subject needs to consent and understand the implications of the ritual, right? otherwise it undermines their freedom and conscience and isn't even significant to them, so it becomes just an empty gesture.

Like forcing a child to prostrate when they have no understanding of what is going on and can't even speak, the prostration is futile, an empty gesture forced upon them.

Another board about Islam. /muslim/ was previously under ownership of a /pol/ user and I found my opportunity to retake it for actual Muslims. This is not about creating a divide between the boards of /islam/ and /muslim/ - they should synergize with each other. /islam/ may be for discussion of faith and /muslim/ could be more oriented towards everyday discussion et cetera. There will obviously be a large overlap in discussion. More is better!

It's a place for less formal discussion or just to hang out and chat or watch webms - a good alternative to going to /b/ or some other site.

I claimed the board recently

I would like the board owner here to be a volunteer and also add his own trusted volunteers so we can keep the board nice and clean. I'm still new to modding so please tell me how we should communicate. I can add you by username to the volunteer list. or whatever else works.

Bart Ehrman: How come Quran was preserved by Scribes and Bible was Tampered With?

This should hopefully go a ways towards stopping the rather affable but increasingly sophist James White who always engages in genetic fallacies whenever Muslims quote respected secular textual scholars. White says Muslims aren't allowed to quote textual scholars because they don't believe in prophecy. Guess what, James White the reason debates have parameters is so you can focus on the relevant points of information a scholar brings to the table, not their favorite basketball team or their personal religion.

I'm increasingly convinced that James White is a cultural hellenist that expertly couches civilizational arguments in religious imagery. But that's another topic. He's the most informed and well-mannered christian apologist so I don't want to be too harsh on him.

Qadianis Defeated in Algeria

Algeria's Minister of Religious Affairs says ‘Ahmadiyya plan has failed’

>Algeria’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Mohamed Aissa, has said the Ahmadiyya plan has failed and the Islamic sect does not exist in Algeria anymore. He made the comments on Saturday while speaking at the University of Islamic Sciences in the city of Constantine in eastern Algeria.

>Speaking at the University, Minister Aissa said:

>“The Ahmadiyya plan in Algeria has failed. The security services , the justice system, local imams and the Algerian media together exposed their plan and the sect does not exist in Algeria anymore”

>He went on to say “They call on their followers to stay reserved, marry among themselves and pay Zakat among themselves in order to form a sect but they could not succeed.”

>He further said, “The battle against (Ahmadiyya) is over, and we want to spread awareness among the youth who were affected by their (Ahmadi) doctrine, we need to make an effort in bringing those people back to our national religious beliefs.”

>A week ago, Minister Aissa also warned of the “systematic spread” of Shia Islam in Algeria while talking to the media. He said, “We are not against Shiites but against the evangelization of Shia Islam in Algeria, Shiite Islam itself does not present a problem but proselytizing campaign of the Shia community in Algeria does.”

>Answering a question about a Christian Algerian sentenced to three months in prison, Aissa said that he was not imprisoned because of his faith but rather because of insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

To everyone claiming sunnism

Reminder that if you like many self-proclaimed "sunnis" of today reject the authority of our Sunni Leaders(eg Aal Sauud, Banu Hashim etc) or insult them in any way then you are not part of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah since you are rejecting one of its core principles.

Every group today claiming to be Sunni studies al aqidah al Tahawiyya(meaning it is accepted by both Asharis/Maturidis and Ahlulhadeeth/salafis). And here you find the article:

>72. We do not recognize rebellion against our Imam or those in charge of our affairs even if they are unjust, nor do we wish evil on them, nor do we withdraw from following them. We hold that obedience to them is part of obedience to Allah, The Glorified, and therefore obligatory as long as they do not order to commit sins. We pray for them right guidance and pardon from their wrongs.

The above is what sets Sunnis apart from the Khawarij who would rebel(=khuruuj) against the Muslim Leaders and accuse them of being kuffar. So just like it's essential for a sunni to accept the virtues of Abu Bakr(ra) in opposition to the shi'a, you also have to accept the above. This is such a fundamental part of us Sunnis that it was included with the articles of faith(belief in Allah, the angels, etc) and went on to be accepted as one of the most authoritative texts on orthodox creed. Thus if you disagree with one of these then you are no longer a part of the Sunni community.

Wa salaam

Kaaba Golden Ratio

The coordinates of the Kaaba at Mecca are 21.423 N° 39.826 E°

111.423 / 180 = 0.619

219.826 /360 = 0.610

Golden Ratio = 1.618

The coordinates are at the golden ratio distance from the north pole to the south pole and the golden ratio distance from directly opposite the prime meridian

The amazing thing about this is that the Qur'an was revealed to Muhammadصلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم in 610 AD, the prime meridian wasn't invented until 1851 in Greenwich. So it just so happens that Mecca was at the Phi point from the poles and then later England became the naval and astronomy leader of the world, which just so happened to have it's opposite's Phi point directly on Mecca?

Getting my mom to convert to Islam

Salam brothers and sisters, I'm going to make my question short.

So my father married a non-muslim woman in hopes of having her convert to Islam. Well she was very much on board but her parents (don't even want to refer to them as grandparents) made her over religious and undid all my fathers doing after they got married by basically threatening excommunication from the family. Is there any way I can acclimate my mother back to Islam? She's a hindu but my father and I have been working on her a little by getting her to eat meat, praying with us, and even small jokes about hinduism and polytheism which she does not mind. She even sometimes asks us to go further into detail and listens closely to our takes on hinduism (mainly on subjects like incarnation, caste system, and womens rights). Even though all these measures are being taken, it feels like I still have not made any progress and the worse part is she's getting old and she could die any time (Only Allah knows of course).

tl;dr How do I convert my Hindu mother to Islam?

Say a minority of pagans or Christians, of whom were of a foreign ethnic group/race to the population of an Islamic country, moved in. Their population is growing and in the future might just overtake the native Muslims. A number of these foreigners talk about establishing a religious theocracy after taking over the Muslims' country, while a majority silently agree that this would be a good thing.

What do Muslims do to this group?

I believe this needs it's own Thread to discuss everything about Daesh/Islamic State. /IslamicState/ and /ISIS/ is full of troll-tier-f*gs.

Anyways, I hear lots of arguments from both side.

One side says that we Muslims are Obliged to fight all the disbelievers till they pay the jizya or go to war[1][2]. The other says otherwise.[3][4][5]

One side says that we are OBLIGED to establish the Khilafah by Force or Peace but that Forcefully is the most efficient way. The other says otherwise. [6] [7]

So, any hard-researched evidence on why the Islamic State is Un-Islamic? They pray, Do Jihad 'fee sabeel allah', give Zakat, and apply Sharia Law. What is the core wrong deed that they are doing that divides the lines between us and "them"?

Also, If you were to be the leader/caliph of the Islamic State, what would you change? add? subtract? teach?

thanks to all replies.

>The patriarch met the King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. He also met with the Prime Minister Saad Hariri who said that he would return to Lebanon within days.

>The kingdom intends to restore a 900-year-old church. It will be a symbolic gift to the Lebanese Maronite Patriarch and the symbol of the beginning of the Christian-Islamic dialogue.

>This visit has an important significance since Saudi Arabia vowed to be open to other faiths. The Crown Prince is aiming at moderating Islam and making Saudi Arabia a country open to all religions and cultures.

Muslims have always been divided

Whenever I look through the history of islam, I can't ignore that Muslims have always been divided since the holy prophet phuh left. There's always the sunni shia split that ruined all the muslim empires. Instead of 2 sunni/shia empires that always fought each other, why didn't they ever team up to defeat the other religions?

The ottoman empire was sunni and the safavid empire was shia and they also wasted resources against each other which hurt both sides.

This also prevented the mughal empire from receiving any help.

In the end this caused the empires to crumble because they always need assistance but never gave it to each other. This resulted in Christians, Hindus and/or the British to take over.

Is there any solution for this? Is there a way to unite the muslims?

Islam in Catalonia

Support Catalan secession from Spain.

Catalonia would be the third largest muslim pop% in Europe. Islam is flourishing in the region. Some quotes from an islamophobe:

> In an effort to promote Catalan nationalism and the Catalan language, Catalonian pro-independence parties have deliberately promoted immigration from Arabic-speaking Muslim countries for more than three decades, in the belief that these immigrants (unlike those from Latin America) would learn the Catalan language rather than speak Spanish.

>Although some Catalans are having second thoughts about the wisdom of promoting Muslim mass immigration as a strategy to achieve Catalan independence, it is estimated that up to 10,000 Catalans with links to the separatist movement have actually converted to Islam in recent years. It is believed, for example, that two out of every ten Catalan radicals who belong to the far-left political party, the Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC), are converts to Islam.

>According to one newspaper account, "the new converts refuse to observe Christmas, eat sausage, drink champagne or dance the Sardana [a Catalan circle dance], but prepare their meals with halal meat, read the Quran in Catalan and engage in proselytizing, especially among the more radical Catalan nationalists. One new convert says: 'I'm learning Arabic, but I prefer to read the Quran in Catalan. I praise God in Catalan. It is the language I feel in.'"

>Catalan multiculturalists are also actively proselytizing Muslim immigrants, seeking to convert them to the religion of Catalan nationalism. In July, for instance, Catalan pro-independence activists, seeking to capture future Muslim voters, posted signs in front of mosques around Catalonia which stated that "Catalan sovereignty will help to integrate Muslim immigrants."

>Salafi preachers, who do not believe in democracy – it is a form of government made by man and not by Allah - – are now calling on Muslims who are eligible to vote to support Catalan separatist parties as a means firmly to establish Islamism in Catalonia.

From "gatestone institute"

Anyway, Catalonia is at least 7% muslim and Spain is an evil country that killed muslims there and in phillipines. God damn Spain. Viva al-Andalus Viva Catalonia.

Problems with the zabur/psalms?

I should probably preface this by saying that I'm not a Muslim, but I'm very interested in the religion and may revert. I've read both The Bible and The Quran, and I've got a question about the psalms. I know the Biblical Books of Moses are considered to be corruptions of the Tawrat, and the Biblical Gospels aren't the true Injil, but what about Psalms? I know the specific ways the Pentateuch contradicts the Quran (removes the story of Iblis, removes the moral from Cain and Abel, the laws in the last three books are different from Islamic laws), and I know how the Gospels contradict the Quran (proclaims the 3-in-1 Body Wash, the deity of Christ, the belief that God has a son), and but I don't know what the issue with the psalms is. Does anyone have more knowledge on the subject, does anyone know where specific verses of the psalms go against Islam? Sorry if this is a weird inquiry

Islamic Names / Culture in co-existence with Islam

Names are an important aspect of culture. We can see in traditionally Christian countries there being a tradition of incorporating biblical and religious names. But there is always the indigenous people's own names present. E.g, Englishmen have the religious names: Joshua, Paul, John, and so on, and then ethnic names: Oswald, Wilfred, Edward, etc. In Islam, is this also true?

All the converts I see turn their back on their heritage by adopting Arab names. Is Islam really so all-encompassing it basically aims to create a mono-culture?

As for my story:

>be born in a very Christian country in Eastern Europe

>only surrounded by Christians, never meet a non-Christian until I move to the west with my family

>start becoming more religious at the age of 14, consider joining the priesthood of the Church after high school

>notice my entire family is cultural Christians, they pick and choose what to do, I'm the only one that bothers following everything that the Church teaches

>try to teach them the doctrines of the Church, always get ridiculed for being too observant of the teachings and too backwards, feel alone in my faith

>take World Religions course at the Catholic high school I go to, get exposure to Islam for the first time, immediately interested in it

>be struggling between Islam/Christianity by the time I'm 16

>skip 4 years, have been a pseudo-Muslim the whole time and didn't take the Shahada with witnesses until last month

tl;dr: as ironic as it may be, my family and Catholicism have led me to Islam.

Post your stories, brothers and sisters. :).

Settling in non-muslim countries is forbidden?

Is it true? Are Muslims allowed to migrate to non-Muslim countries?

>The basic principle is that it is not permissible for the Muslim to settle among the mushrikeen. This is indicated by evidence from the Qur’aan and Sunnah, and on the basis of common sense.

>In the Qur’aan, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

>“Verily, as for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): “In what (condition) were you?” They reply: “We were weak and oppressed on the earth.” They (angels) say: “Was not the earth of Allaah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?” Such men will find their abode in Hell — what an evil destination!”

>[al-Nisa’ 4:97]

>In the Sunnah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I disown every Muslim who settles among the mushrikeen.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2645; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

my issue with hadiths is when they make claims that can't be verified by the Quran at all, thus creating a new invention, new practice, new belief not revealed by God explicitly or implicitly.

For example, if a practice is alluded to in the Quran and a valid hadith explains how, why and when to practice it then that is fine. But if a belief or practice has no root in the Quran then a hadith that declares it as "obligatory" is immediately dubious in my mind and most likely bidah.

How do you bridge this unbridgeable gap?

Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do. - 6:159

Salafis are disbelievers, Tijani tariqah are disbelievers, Qadiriyya are disbelievers, Naqshbandis are disvelievers, Shaziliyya are disbelievers, Mu'tazila are disbelievers, Shiia are disvelievers, and Saudi Arabia is not islamic, the are the people of Abdullah bin Obayy Al Saloul, they are not followers of the Nabi, Ka'bah is the house of Allah and the Masjid Al Nabawwi is home, and since the Saudis changed the religion of Allah they must enter the hellfire. We have to follow only the Quran, the Sunnah, and we can't wish por praises of the infidels, we want their hate and we will have them too, we have to combate them we have to kill them, we have to exterminate them because they want to exterminate us.

And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the wrongdoers. - 5:45

seriously, i've personally watched their videos from their original source and they seem to implement sharia for everyone there (syria/iraq). The only stuff that I think are too much is that they are highly ignorant about how to handle the kuffar. Like, not all infidels know about islam and purposefully hate on it.

another thing is that they take way too much time in trying to take over the personal life of the people under their control.

NOTE: I am not gonna do what you think im gonna do. Just giving out simple questions and statements from what i see.

A screencap I found on /pol/

So I found these screenshots on /pol/ shit-talking Islam hardcore, and I wanted to see if /islam/ had any sort of rebuttals. My only problems with these is that most of the historical facts lack sources, albeit the qu'ranic verses have references. There's other shit like music/art/etc.being heretical but that makes no sense as the middle east has made plenty of music and art and still does so to this day. That and the whole killing other Abrahamic faiths, when to my knowledge Christians and Jews at least can live in muslim countries so long as they pay a poll tax.

I could go on about little things that confuse me, but I feel you guys would probably provide the best counterargument. Remember to read the entire thing first in case a counterpoint you make is addressed later on, and provide sources for your claims. Thank you in advance.

Also a couple of other questions. Does taqiyaa only cover lying about being muslim when admitting to it would get you in trouble or can you lie about other shit, if so, what? And does Islam feel that polytheists should be killed?

Let us liberate Gab.ai?

Its a really interesting idea. Their are not many Muslims, from what I see, but its a free speech typed social media. Plan:

1: We make our own council! Like, "Muslims Council of Gab" (MCG)

It'll be like a group type organization soulely made to the spread of Islam. And who knows? Someone might revert to Islam!

2: everyone should make a temporary account on gab. But have it islamicaly related. Like Islamic calligraphy, history, arabic. I.e gab.ai/frediliant

3: We can post Islamic media to shed the light of the truth everywhere. Its easy to register and post things.

Tips: use the website type and not the app. Its glitchy as hell.

Friend's youtube comment refuting an islamaphobe

You're incorrect, morgan. He was not a pedophile. Why? Because historical accounts and teachings are inconsistent with your fallacy. Before I get deeply into this let us take a look at the timeline of Prophet Muhammad's (pbuh) life.

the start of the mission was in the year of 610 AD (Mecca)–and the migration to Medina was in the year of 623 AD–the Prophet dies in the year of 633 AD

It is known that Muhammad married Aisha before his journey to Medina in the year of 620 AD. This was 10 years after the "revelation" that claims Aisha was 6 years old when they married, and that also claims he started having sexual intercourse with her 3 years and few months later, which was at the end of the year (623 AD) when she would be (9) years old. 🙄 This implies that she was born in the year (614 AD) which was the (4th ) year of the revelation according to Bukhari. This is nonsense because-

Historical references show that Aisha's older sister Asma was 10 years older than her younger sister & born 27 years before her migration to Medina. That would make Asma 14 years old & would also show Aisha was born in the year of 606 AD.

So by the time they married (620 AD) Aisha was 14 but remember they waited 3 years and a few months before consummating. Making her 17 or 18 at the time (i'm not sure what month it was.)

Another reference also confirms Aisha's age. Asama's well documented murder shows that she and her son were murdered at the age of 100 on the 73rd Hijri (yearly anniversary of migration to Medina). This again proves Asama's age of 27.

Another reference also shows that she remembers her father and Muhammad leaving to Abyssinia which is in the 5th year of revelation. If she was born in the 4th year of revelation as Bukhari claims she wouldn't remember that because she would be 1.

Finishing up i'd like to inform you that there are many clouded hadiths and that's been a huge issue for a while. What I want you to do is buy a Quran (I can buy one for you) and read it. When you come across a hadith that sounds strange you can open the Quran and see if it contradicts the laws of Allah. If it does the hadith is fabricated. There are more ways to test the legitimacy of a hadith like I did above but that's the advanced method. Have a nice day and I hope you are guided onto the right path.
