Goatposting is on-topic because there are actually goats in the game; and it's not even real goats, but game characters often pictured as goats. There IS no Genesis in the game. Posting about it is as relevant to Undertale as posting pictures of Lenin would be to a thread about Super Mario Bros.. Yeah, sure, one fucker noticed that the game bore some resemblance to Communism if you squint really hard, but that doesn't mean all of Communism is allowed to be posted/discussed on a thread about Mario. No sane person would allow that; it's not a "meme" if it's just one person doing it.
Now, I understand the spirit of the UTG on /v/ is completely different, and the entire board has a much more lax approach to spammers, but that's because it's fast-paced. It's assumed that it will get enough posts that any garbage would be ignored and pushed off the front page very quickly if nobody wants it. It's not like that, here. That's why I feel a more heavy-handed approach to moderating is better. Just my opinion.
