Pretty sure the game never directly states any human gender but my headcanon is Chara and Asriel were brothers, therefore Chara is male.

Frisk should remain genderless for the sake of the story, but for reference sake I consider him male because this isn't tumblr.

Honestly, just with the armor options, I kinda assumed Frisk was a girl.

I do like the idea of ambiguous protags, though. Most of the time, it's irrelevant to the plot anyways.

There's also a set of boxing gloves, the aptly-named "manly bandanna", and even the apron could be seen as masculine if you consider how male-dominated chefs are. You just don't notice these as much because a girl "crossdressing" doesn't exist anymore. A girl can wear pants and nobody thinks anything of it; but if a boy wears a skirt, he's either Scottish or crossdressing.

Nah, it's found with a frying pan that Flowey uses to toss boiling oil at you (Which I just now realize turn into healing GREEN EGGS… which is totally a Dr. Seuss reference), so it's pretty clearly a chef. The "Ball" game also mentions "a delicious victory" during that SOUL's portion.
